I have tried six different cheap smart watches. 4 went back due to their ineptitude in doing the basics. One stopped working days after the return period. Another expensive one had the crappiest app I ever saw.
So I am trying an Amazfit device. So far it is ok. One thing I do not like is you do not get text notifications on it, only phone call notifications. It is possible I have not figured out how to do it because the app is klunky and the instructions for the watch are useless, just like all others I have tried. However, I went to the same area that I was able to set them on the others and there wasn’t anything there.
The battery life is excellent. Used it for a week and was still at 75%.
For the price, I’ll give it a so-so of 3 stars, which is 2 more than any of the other 6.
Fitbit Versa 2 was the best, did everything I wanted, but would not connect via bluetooth to any device right after the warranty ended. I read online that so many people have problems with fitbit products right after warranty ends, so under no circumstances will I try another of their products.

Erster Versuch mit Fitness-Uhr. Preis-Leistung sicherlich konkurrenzlos. ABER:
B. im Auto ein no go.

Not a good watch, overall. Haptics were clunky – for example, timer wouldn’t start without multiple touches and/or disappear quickly. Navigating the features on the watch wasn’t smooth at all due to the crappy/frustrating haptics.
Step counts seemed pretty accurate but were way off when used for running on the treadmill. Luckily, the watch gives you an option to calibrate the distance. So I’d match the distance on my treadmill to the watch’s after each session, which was anywhere from 2-3 miles to calibrate (running +/- 5 miles).
Monitoring sleep seemed really off as well – it sometimes showed me sleeping 3 to 4 hours before I actually went to bed; however, the watch seemed to adapt after I started manually editing the actual time I went to bed (in the AM after waking up).
The Auto Do Not Disturb is not Auto at all. I was awoken many times through the night because the watch didn’t, or couldn’t, read I was asleep. Maybe because I was in a light-sleep stage but that just goes to show how the technology is lacking.
My bad experiences could be from the very good experience I had with my Fitbit Blaze for 5 years. It was difficult to compare the two watches and their capabilities because Fitbit far outshines Amazfit. But I guess you get what you pay for!

Having used a few different smart watches over the years, I can honesty say that they just get better; improved technology with quicker response. I also love this new magnetic clip on back charging system, which holds the watch in place when charging, better than the magnetic spot clip which often fell off.
The watch is really lightweight and comfortable to wear but still managed to give us a decent sized screen, which we found easy to read, even when outdoors.
All the usual sports apps are included, as are the sleeping monitors, and a heart rate monitor, which appears to be comparatively accurate. Once paired with our phones, we can also get GPS signals, not used this app, so can’t comment on how good it is however. An easy to use QR code makes the pairing process that bit easier, we thought.
What we were both amazed at, was the battery life; I have used the term us, as my partner and myself have both been using the watch over the last week, and we are still on the original charge; in fact we will probably get another week’s use out of it before the need to recharge the battery; incredible!
Straight back from a run yesterday, it had started to rain, my partner, without thinking jumped into the shower, still wearing the watch; thankfully, it has proven to be 100% waterproof.
A nice presentaion box, so would make a good looking gift; always something I consider.
So to sum up; lightweight and comfortable, clear screen, lots of apps, waterproof, and a very good battery life.
A super, good smart watch for the price; highly recommended.

1) Active screen is MUCH SMALLER than the watch face depicted in their advertising so even though the dimensions of the watch face are ~1.75″ (diagonal), the actual active screen is only ~1.25″ (see photo).
2) The black BG of the active screen is NOT BLACK so it displays as a little gray square inside a big black background (see photo).
3) Colors are DULL and WASHED-OUT – not vibrant and contrasty like in their pictures.
4) I contacted Amazfit and they said, “Due to the light or other feathers, the watch may not exactly the same as in the ad.” Yes. they said “feathers.”
Aside from those GAME KILLING FLAWS, it’s a nice watch. It would be nice if it turned ‘on’ when you flick your wrist – if it showed elevation in it’s GPS – and if the charging cable wasn’t so very cheesy and likely to break before the watch does.

I’ve used the watch for several days now and overall I’m very happy with it. It’s a good size and fits my wrist well. For the money the feature set is outstanding. I don’t sleep with it on but I’ve worn it all day for 3 days and it’s still at 91% power. At this rate I think I can easily go for over a week, maybe two, between charges.
The biggest problem is the total lack of instructions on how to do ANYTHING on this watch. The box has a tiny booklet written in several languages telling you how to charge, download the app, and pair. That’s it. Nothing that tells you how to use any of the features, how to changes settings, nothing. So I’ll try to cover some of that here. I did stumble across a PDF document online for the Amazfit Bip S that covered a few things I couldn’t figure out on my own. It was on bcebos Dot Com so google is your friend.
The always on function is nice. I wish the brightness was adjustable for that. You can adjust the brightness of the watch when it is “on” but not for the always on display. Which I think is a shame. Outside it is easy to see but inside all I can make out is the time.
You can swipe the main screen in all 4 directions to get to different controls. There are a few different watch faces stored on the watch and the app has a bunch more you can use.
Swipe up for notifications. Down for a small control panel that shows power, time, date, brightness control, screen lock, do not disturb, and music control shortcut. Not sure why that last one is there since you can swipe left to get to the music control instead.
Swiping left takes you through things like music control, weather, heart rate, steps, and PAI (some kind of “general heath score”). IMPORTANT: you must allow SMS permissions or the watch can’t see your music. Took me forever to find this out. I had blocked SMS access and it couldn’t see my music. Once enabled it was able to see and control my music, but you have to start it on the phone first.
I have seen different apps listed as the correct one for different Amazfit watches. I used the Q code on my watch face and it took me to the “ZEPP” app. This also needs work. Badly. It is very counter intuitive
HINT: In the ZEPP app if you want to change settings for your watch click the “profile” button on the bottom. Under “My devices” your watch should be listed. Click that and it will take you to a settings page.
The app can also act as an Exercise Tracker but they have this hidden. I stumbled over it by accident. On the main page at the bottom are 3 buttons. Homepage, Enjoy, Profile. Just above those is a tiny grey bar. That is a swipe bar. Pull up on it and it shows some settings and tools to track Walking, Running, and Cycling. I did a walk while using this app and Runkeeper at the same time and they were a dead match for distance, time, and route. But Runkeeper gave me 100 calories for my walk where Zepp gave me 200. I trust Runkeeper more. So I’d use Zepp for distance and time but not for calorie calculation.
Overall I’m happy with the watch. For $50 it’s pretty amazing. But I had to dock it 1 star because both the watch and the app are difficult to decipher and I’m sure a lot of people wouldn’t spend the time to unlock it’s potential. If they included a good set of instructions for both the watch and the app it would be a 5 star item easily.

✅ PRO:
– buona visibilità in qualsiasi condizione.
❌ CONTRO:
