Amazfit GTR 3 Smart Watch for Android Phone iPhone with Alexa, GPS Fitness Tracker with 150 Sports Modes, 21-Day Battery Life, 1.39” AMOLED…

After one day, I had a little chip on the coating near the glass (no trace or nothing on the glass!).
After three days, I had two chips on the coating. And I started to really question myself…

During those three days, I didn’t hit the watch on the wall, the watch didn’t fall. Nothing. I just did office work at home and a long walk. It seems like a very poor coating quality because I cannot explain what happened. I’m very meticulous with my electronics and my watches.

I’m thinking of returning it. I’m not sure if it’s my product or the model that is at fault… I read like another review on Reddit about it but that’s it.

That’s a shame because the I like the watch and I wonder if the watch will be shattered everywhere in two months.

Overall, I like the style, the autonomy is very good.
Sleep tracking is poor (doesn’t make the difference between being laid and being asleep) but my expectations were very low for this kind of tracking. GPS, fitness, HR, SPO2,… are good.

Loved the Amazfit Bip for its battery life so when that was dropped too many times and needed to be replaced (screen separated from the watch but 3+ years), got the GTR3. Standard watch face and have not been able to get more than 6 days and I’m not doing anything special with it. Will give it one week and buy think I’ll be returning it.

Miré muchos smartwatches tratando de buscar el que se adaptara mejor a mis necesidades. Este parecia ser suficiente y ser bastante bueno por el precio.
Sin embargo despues de una semana de uso me doy cuenta que el software es increiblemente defectuoso. Recomiendo que si solo lo quieren la capacidad de monitorear el ejercicio y el sueño se busquen una fit band más barata. Si quieren un smartwatch propio con mucha funcionalidad, recomiendo ahorrar un poco más y conseguir el Apple Watch SE para Iphone o el Galaxy Watch para Android.
Este Zepp OS parece ser muy inestable todavía:
– Repetidamente ocurría que me marcaba que el telefóno estaba desconectado aun teniendolo a lado, y más cuando la app Zepp decía lo contrario. Podía notificaciones de mi telefóno en el watch, pero no podía usar Alexa, consultar el clima y para colmo, el reloj atrasaba una hora y ni siquiera hay forma manual de corregirlo! El watch tiene el software actualizado y mi Iphone 11 tiene la útlima versión también.
– El sensor de oxigenacion (una de las razones por las cuales adquirí este watch) no parece funcionar correctamente. Siempre me regresa un valor entre 97& y 99%, aún mientras aguantaba la respiración! Sé que no se supone que debe ser usado como un indicador médico, pero esperaba mucho más.
– El conteo de pasos deja mucho que desear, estima cualquier movimiento como un paso y yo que muevo mucho los brazos, bueno, se imaginaran que terminaba dando 2000 pasos al día sin levantarme de mi silla.
– Se supone que tengo activadas las notificaciones para ponerme de pie 12 veces al dia y para tomar agua x veces al día. Pero a veces el watch decide solo no mandarme esas notificaciones por todo un día entero.
– La app de clima mostraba siempre una diferencia de hasta 10 grados con la temperatura que muestra mi app del teléfono. Se supone que debería usar tu ubicación actual pero no sé de que fuente obtiene esos datos incorrectos. No hay forma de corregirlo desde Zepp.

La app ZEPP
La app contiene muchas opciones de configuracion y es bastante llamativa esteticamente, aunque es cierto que muchas cosas no estan organizadas intuitivamente. En general diria que le falta pulirse en general. Encontré algunas configuraciones que no habían sido traducidas todavía del mandarín; no puedo agregar mis contactos al smartwatch porque solo me deja elegir entre mis contactos “recientes” que al parecer eso para Zepp significa mostrarme son los contactos a los cuales nunca he marcado;

Las Watch Faces
Hay muchas varientes, unas muy llamativas. Yo prefiero usar el estilo digital, pero para estas no vi ninguna sola que fuera “personalizable” para elegir los widgets que queria mostrar como es el caso de algunas analógicas. Le falta usabilidad para navegar la tienda de watch faces, no puedes filtar mas que por ciertas categorias pre-establecidas.

Bateria
Amazfit dice que dura 14 días. En mi casó duró practicamente 6, con always-on desactivado, brillo automatico, offline assistant encendido cuando se prendía la pantalla, reconocimiento de ejercicio desactivado y lectura de BPM cada 10 minutos.

Música y audio
Me gusta mucho poder controlar la música de mi teléfono desde el watch. Sin embargo, ignoraba yo que para poder agregarle tu propia música, deben ser archivos MP3. ¿Quién tiene canciones en MP3 en pleno 2021 con tantas opciones de streaming? El micrófono y los speakers estan bien por el precio.

Perilla de navegación
Una muy buena idea y cómoda de usar. El problema es que no se comprometen por completo a permitir la navegación con esta, puesto que no hay forma de “seleccionar” un menu u opcion y debes pulsar la pantalla. Tampoco puedes usar la perilla para cambiar el volumen o el brillo. Es extraño que te den esa opción para controlar el watch con las manos mojadas o guantes pero solo puedes usarla para scrollear en el menu o en algunas vistas.

Offline Voice y Alexa
Ambos tienen opciones muy limitadas, pero sin duda facilitan mucho la navegación y reconocen bien lo que dices la mayoría del tiempo.

Comodidad
La correa deportiva es bastante suave, aun así si sentía bastante incomodidad por la parte de atras del watch en mi muñeca despues de unas horas. Aunque eso puede ser porque tengo brazos muy delgados y debo apretar más la correa. Lo bueno es que nunca me molestó para dormir.

Monitoreo de Sueño, corazón y ejercicio
El monitoreo de sueño funciona muy bien la verdad, lo mismo con los latidos por minuto. No active el reconocimient automático de ejercicio por miedo a que se comiera la batería, pero lo utilicé para correr en caminadora y en bicicleta de interiores. En ambos casos mostraba información cercana a la correcta y me gustó mucho la función de indicarme cuando mi LPM estaban por encima o por debajo de la zona para quemar grasas.

I was in the market for a smartwatch for a while now, but I couldn’t find a model that fit my taste until this one. I love the classic big round screen display, and the leather band adds elegance and value to the watch. I love the different watch face options, with convenient heart rate reading/steps/breathing rate. Some allow you to see the entire week’s weather forecast, humidity level, etc., and super easy to read incoming text messages and pick up calls (loud and clear) without holding a phone in your hand. The one-button health measurements allow you to measure your heart rate, stress level, and breathing count at once. And a reminder for standing and walking every hour to keep up with healthy well-being. One other cool feature: I started to wear this watch last Thursday. Almost a week into it, there’s still 20% battery life left. This is so cool, all the other smartwatches my friends own, they practically needed to charge them every day.

First off, I’ll let it be known that I’m an Apple guy but not a fan of the Apple Watch. How are you supposed to measure your daily sleep logs and wear it during the day when the battery dies constantly? That’s what made me do research for a new smart watch. 2 years ago I got the titanium edition GTR. Loved that watch! But now I wanted more out of my smart watch, so again, I started to do as much research as possible for a new watch. I mean amazfit did me well the 1st time, figured let’s check out the new GTR pro. Basically does everything the latest Apple Watch does. Heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep and stress levels as well. Only been a day since getting it but so far so good! I love the look of the watch and I can barely tell it’s on my wrist. It’s a very very light watch. Even lighter then my previous GTR. You can wear it all day 24/7, battery will go on forever. Think I got around 2 weeks on my previous GTR, I’m assuming the new one will be just as good. I’ll test the rest of the features in the days coming and come back for updates. I’m almost certain I won’t be disappointed, you can’t go wrong with this watch. For the money it’s a no brainer.

So I’ve been wearing this watch for a little over a week now, and so far so LOVE IT!! I’ve tested my workouts on it, the gps measurements are spot on. I’ve also tested the blood oxygen feature, you can run tests whenever you want and you can also have it running all day. Just note this will drain your battery. It’s easy to switch back and forth on the ZEPP app. The same goes for stress levels and heart rate. I need to mention the watch face selections in the app. You have hundreds to choose from, I find myself switching daily, there’s just so many good ones. I added another pic ( which btw has my original GTR titanium bands on it ).

One last thing, I’ve been reading some things about people having trouble setting up the watch. It’s Soooooooo easy. Step one. Download the ZEPP app. Step 2 scan the bar code on the watch. Done.
