NOT as advertised! Anything I ask Alexa I get, “Not support this function at this moment”. For example, “What’s in the news?” (The same thing as in the ad). It also does NOT stream music through the watch. And although it can SORT OF control music apps on the phone, it only has BACK-FORWARD-PLAY-PAUSE, repeat, shuffle. There is no playlist! You can’t see the APP on the phone – nothing whatsoever. It only has this basic functionality. You can get a super cheap watch that can do this.
It also states, “Connect the Amazfit GTR 2 to your phone, and use Bluetooth phone call”, but you can’t make a call. There isn’t even a contacts list!
The Product Description also states, “get translations”. I asked, “Translate I love you into Tagalog” and it displays, “Sorry, I don’t speak Tagalog yet”.
How utterly useless! Alexa can’t open or play an Amazon Music playlist (you have to setup on your phone and only use basic back-play-forward, etc.). Alexa can’t translate. Alexa can’t tell me the news.
The watch can’t steam music from my subscription.
The watch can’t make phone calls.
I don’t see any difference between this watch and a cheap watch.
It’s going back!

1. No music playlist creation
2. No seeking or scrubbing of songs
3. Songs are listed in random, non-alphabetical order
4. The always on display doesn’t show entire watch face nor does it give you option to allow that
5. No long press buttons to pause/start workouts
6. Deal breaker: no workout metrics on the always on display
Very disappointing as the GPS and heart rate are accurate enough, the screen is nice, and the battery life is acceptable. Will return unless issues are addressed.

Honestly I wanted to like this. I specifically got this for the 3GB storage (for songs and what not) however the APP is ****TERRIBLE**** You MUST use the ZEPP app to use the watch and the entire interface is just garbage. There is no “storage” option where you can upload your song info to it. Additionally simply trying to find settings where you can get a call on your watch or see a FULL MESSAGE from an app like hangouts…. just junk. It renders this 200 dollar watch in the quality bin of a 40 dollar smart watch – NOT 200 dollars.
I’m so disappointed. NOW I have to cancel my screen protector and band that were coming for me because the band on this watch feels like junk as well. I mean.. I guess if you actually plan on swimming with the watch on you’re going to treat it pretty rough but overall I expected about 200% more out of everything this had.
Just really disappointed. I even tried to connect the charger to my PC and see if I could just “upload” music or files or pictures or documents to it and I can’t. I get angrier and angrier every sentence I write because it just falls flat on it’s face.
I even tried using different software. Nope.. can’t do that. shame on me for even thinking I’d be able to do that.

The gtr2 had good reviews, so I got one. At first it seemed to work ok, but after a week or so the sleep app was way off. It would have me sleeping 2-3 hours and I slept for 7-8 hours. Sometimes it would have the start sleep time or the wake up time correct, but never both of them. One day it had me sleeping for 1 hour, whereas I slept for over 7 hours. I have contacted their customer service several times to report the issue, and the answer I am still getting is their tech people are working on it and it should be corrected “soon”. Well, “soon” has been over 6 weeks! The other problem I have is that the oxygen detector sometimes works and most times not. When I first got the watch, the oxygen detector was perfect varying about 1 point from a commercial oximeter. About 3 weeks ago, it started going crazy, and tech service has not fixed that either.
If you get one of these be sure and get a screen protector, because it is easy to hit the side of the watch on a table and crack the crystal. After 2 months of these problems, with no fix in site, I decided to return it. Amazon gives you 90 days, so it goes back tomorrow. I was hoping that Amazon would replace it, but they do not have any in stock, but they are giving me a refund. Amazon has a much better return policy than Walmart, or most any other place you can get one. The 2 main reasons I got the watch were the oxygen detector and the sleep app. I had a BipS before and its sleep app worked perfectly, but it did not have an oxygen detector.
The gps and the fitness apps work great, but then my Samsung smartphone measures these anyway. If you get one, be sure to keep all of the paperwork and the packaging. Overall it is a pretty watch; too bad the oxygen detector and sleep app do not work properly.

Started using the watch about 4 days ago and have compared it to several other watches. I really like the screen and have gotten used to navigating around the watch, farily simple after a few days. Even though I enjoy the simplicity of the watch I would have liked additional functionality.
Pro’s
Screen size
Screen glass
Brightness
Watch Faces
Battery Life
Battery recharging time
Charger is easy to attach
Light weight
Thin watch
Nice looking
70+ activities it tracks
Pull down shade is nice
Cons
Would like workout activities such has dumb bells, sits ups, push up’s, home based exercises, etc.
MP3 player does not have the ability to sort, uploading the songs is random, there is no bookmarking, it starts at the first song upon reboot instead of remembering your last song you were listening to, not good when listening to audiobooks at all, this was one of the major disappointments of this watch, what good with all of that storage if you do not have functionality to use it.
Tasks – I would like to create tasks that I can save and re-use, washer 30 minutes, dry 60 minutes, etc.
Reminders – Create reminders with flexible scheduling. Example take medicine every hour for the next two weeks [ or forever if needed ]
Calculator – why do none of the smartwatches have a basic calculator, much easier to use then pulling out my phone when shopping.
Tasks – shopping list with due date. Grocery shopping, goto the bank, get gas, etc
Conversions – ounce, liter, lbs, byte, my, gb, tb, etc.
Timezone chart – UTC to EST, IST to CST, etc
NFC – Google Pay, Samsung, Apple
Voice Recorder – while in the car I constantly want to remind myself of something and reaching for my phone is a no no when driving, using voice activation on the watch to start voice recording would be super helpful. Later on I would listen to the recordings and create tasks with them. Heck voice recordings that transcribe and create the actual tasks would be great [ and really pushing it ]
Pull down shade – add airplane mode, shutdown and reboot
I know this watch is marketed as a fitness watch which I feel hits the mark on but I am looking for a watch that can replace my phone for most of the basic functionality. A lot of the items already exist on the watch and just need to be enhanced, the other items appear to be basic requests yet add a lot of value to the watch.
Either way I am enjoying the watch.
My 2 cents…J

I am an engineer and I am in and out of a lot of equipment rooms and working with tools all day, so I’m pretty hard on my watches, so I skipped the Apple Watches out of fear that I would smash one yearly… But at $175 I’m not worried about the GTR 2. I’ve been wearing it for two months now and I have relatively few complaints – the battery is good (I get 8-9 days per charge with the always-on display running 18 hours a day), it’s taken a few very solid hits and scrapes and shows little wear, the interface is very smooth and quick to respond… I really like it. I do wish that the face options were more customizable, that the music function would default to control of phone instead of internal watch storage, and I have had the bluetooth drop out every couple of days (fixed by switching to airplane mode and back)… really I find these to be reasonable given the price and battery life. I’m a happy camper.

Em poucos dias o relógio travou, conseguir destravar. dias depois a tela ficou preta e não voltou mais.
