Great watch; gives you the time and date when you want it. Nice red led display when activated on a watch of quality build. I removed the metal band and replaced it with a resin band for a snug secure fit.
(Timex Men’s Q7B724 Resin Performance Sport 16mm Black Replacement Watchband) .
The band isn’t expensive so if it breaks it’s no big deal….just buy another one. I found that the band was easier to install with the watch face down and the bands inserted from a vertical position. The Timex band isn’t as hefty as a Casio type band but I believe that makes it easier to attach it to the narrow receiving area with the included 16mm case lug pins, which are a perfect fit.
The “Guns” –
Light on the wrist, very good quality at this price point, the display is much better than pictures show, very 70s which is just what I wanted, very happy with this purchase.

I LOVE the Griffy! It’s SOOO cool! This is a “must-have” watch, for anyone to add to their watch collection. If you’re not aware, this is a re-issue of Armitron’s 70s era LED watch. In my opinion, you get a good value for your money. The video doesn’t really do justice on how the finish is, but I hope you enjoyed how bright and cool the display looks in the dark. Its real easy to read! 🙂

De niño tuve la suerte de tener un par de relojes de este tipo, eran los 80s y aunque empezaron a salir los de LCD me seguían gustando más los de leds. En una de las fotos está al lado de un Timex fabricado en los 80s. El diseño y aspecto futurista que les querian dar en esa epoca los hacia muy originales. El reloj esta muy bien hecho, con excelentes acabados y creo que es una compra muy recomendable.

I like “different” looking watches and this one surely does. I have to admit it can sometimes be a pain to hit the button to see the time, but that was the original function and I was aware of it before I bought it, so no real complaint here…just be aware of what you are buying before hitting that purchase button. Light weight, comfortable, and attractive.

First off, nobody is buying this watch for its utility. They’re buying it because It’s a really fun throwback to the 70’s. That having been said it’s well-made, stylish and way easier to read than the 70’s LED watches it’s copying. The only weak spot is the watch band. It’s functional, but way too low quality for a watch s that sells between $35 and $60 depending on whether you catch it on sale or not. Otherwise, I love mine.

I really like this watch as it works and reads out the time, one thing I didn’t like was the clasp as when I tried to adjust it it was very difficult to get it to tighten back up I had to use a lot of force I don’t know why other than its a chea bracelet! But I got it to lock so I’ll just leave it at that fitting size and I’ll be fine e other than that the watch is great I love it.

The watch is similar in design to many led digital watches of that era. The watchband is easy to adjust, and setting the time and date is very straight forward. The digital display. however, is nothing like most watches of that time. I and many of my friends had those original watches, and the LED display had thin, crystal clear, easy to read displays. The display on this screen is thick, fuzzy and too crowded making it difficult to read. Further, don’t put it 24- hr. time, because there are more hours with double digits making it even harder to read. Fortunately, the watch was cheap, because when the display is on it makes the watch look cheap.

Cons-display is so so. Could be sharper. Would be cool if used the old type leds.

Easy to read and solid construction. The band was just OK but not great. The lens is again OK but does not compare to the real pulsar models of the 1970’s with ruby crystal lens but it’s not as expensive either. The LED’s are bright and clear. I will be curious to how long the battery will last. For the price it’s a fun watch to own. I grew up in the 1970’s and remember when the original LED watches were introduced. It was exciting back then and this watch reminds me of that.
