I have been using these pens for years now, and don’t like to use anything else. If I lend one to someone else at work, I always have to keep a close eye on it because everyone loves the way they feel and write so much that they don’t want to give them back! They write very smoothly and evenly. I have never had any trouble with ink not coming out or writing unevenly (unless the cartridge is almost out of ink). I have only had problems with blotching a few times in all my years of daily use, and I think those were due to faulty ink cartridges. I like the medium tip the best- 0.7mm- (I tried a finer tip once and didn’t like the way it looked as much). The weight of the pens in my hand is what I consider about a medium weight- they aren’t heavy like a fancy metal pen, but it also doesn’t feel like you’re writing with a feather. I like the feel of the grip, and it makes writing nice and comfortable. I also appreciate the clip on the end of the pen, as I like to clip these onto my pocket at work. The clip is metal and quite sturdy- I have never had any issues with it breaking or coming off. Before you start writing with these, there is a tiny dot of something like dried glue on the tip of the pen that you need to remove- I assume this is there to help keep the ink fresh. I only buy these pens every few years and buy ink refills in the meantime when they run out of inkÂ
Pentel Refill Ink for BL57/BL77 EnerGel Liquid Gel Pen, Box of 12, 0.7mm, Metal Tip, Black Ink (LR7-A-12)
. After a while I do need to buy new pens, as they start to crack where the two halves of the pen screw together and so have a tendency to fall apart when you’re writing with them. But again, this is after constant daily use for a few years time. I highly recommend these pens, but warn that after trying these you may not want to use any other pens ever again!

These have long been my preferred go-to basic black pen. I have them on subscribe and save. I’m left-handed and they are one of the better pens for not smudging (though it depends on the paper/surface).

I googled for help with hands and arms while at the computer. One of the tips was a gel pen – slides easier – you don’t have to push or bear down as much. This particular pen was recommended. I first ordered the pkg with multiple colors (love them!) – I used the red one to sign Christmas cards. Anyway, for some reason I can’t explain, I ordered another brand and oh, my was there a difference in the way they glided across the paper. They went back! These are the best pens and I have not trouble with nerves and muscles in my hands from writing (I have Lupus and every nerve is very easily disturbed and upset – smile!).

These were once my favorite pens, but unfortunately something has gone terribly wrong. The pens now come apart almost immediately during first use and there’s no way to put them back together. I had hoped that it was only one pack but have bought multiple packs on subscribe and save and they have all had this flaw. Needless to say, I will no longer be purchasing these. A total waste of money

These are very good gel pens and it was nice to buy something that benefits cancer research. They do take a while to arrive but I was not in a hurry. They are a nice pink colour and nice to hold and the gel flows freely.

Love these pens but not happy with buying online. All three pens were less than half full of ink so didn’t last long. Won’t be buying again.

These pens are so awesome! I have 4 college courses back to back and these pena allow me to vigorously take notes with no discomfort whatsoever. They are able to do this because of the comfy grip, along with smooth application to the paper. I am also very pleased with how they come in a variety of colors to allow my OCD self to color coordinate my classes notes. I included pictures to show the bleedthrough difference from notebook paper to a medium quality piece of printer paper. The notebook paper as you can see has some noticeable bleedthrough, but it does not take away from the readability of the writing. On the printer paper you can see it is almost non-existent. If you look super closely there is just a tiny itty bit, but nothing too noteworthy. I would also like to note I have never had smearing issues these dry very quickly. I am however right handed so it is not typically an issue I face.

Why does no one else speak to how long these pen take to dry–FOREVER! I’m doing a workbook, and after completing a page of writing, I’ve left it open to dry for over an hour, closed it, opened it back up, and, of course, there were dots of ink on the facing page, after an hour! I’ve even tried blotting it, and it’s still finger-smudgeable for tens of minutes. They’re trying to cover up this terrible, terrible defect.

A friend recommended these pens to me. I’m a teacher and they’re great for providing feedback to my students! So, I bought some more for my daughter. She’s a scientist and uses them to highlight papers she is working on. The ink is bright, flows without skips, dries fast so it doesn’t smear, and the pens are comfortable to hold.
