This faucet is huge. It out-sized everything in my kitchen. I saw the faucet in a magazine but could not find it locally so bought it on Amazon. The photo in the magazine did not accurately depict its size. Thankfully. I could return it.

The kitchen sink faucet arrived on time and was exactly as expected. My plumber installed the faucet without any difficulty. It looks great in the kitchen. I purchased a Kohler product in this instance because I have 2 other Kohler bathroom sink taps which I have had for several years. The finish on the bathroom taps is in a shiny brass which looks as good today as when they were purchased. The finish was one of the main reasons for the purchase of the Kohler kitchen faucet.

Should have been a good review — looks nice, design is good — but the low flow makes it pretty useless for cleaning pans. I removed the first aerator where the hose meets the handle, and that helps the flow a bit, but unfortunately, the sprayer part is still weak. I opened it up and tried to take it apart, but not sure (without breaking it) if I can pop out the internal part to gut it so it works. What’s the point of a sprayer if it barely penetrates debris on the pan? And before you tell me it’s to preserve water, tell me, if it takes three times as long to clear a pan than it would have, how is that really saving water? It’s an illusion to appease the government regulations, but it’s smoke and mirrors, all at the detriment of customer satisfaction. Can you tell I’m annoyed???

This arrived. I had it installed for $150 by my plumber… Then I noticed the sprayer does not fully, securely click back into place when you release it. A counterweight on its water line is supposed to make it click back into place. The plumber adjusted the counterweight but it still doesn’t click back securely. It ALMOST does. The previous faucet we had for 10 years (same exact make and model) DID click back.
Then I noticed the finish on the sprayer part has a slightly different from the rest of the faucet. (smoother, brighter).
I’m not gonna remove it and send it back and pay another $150 for a replacement to be installed.
For these problems I rate this product as “OK”. Certainly not great or excellent.
Probably just lower quality manufacturing than ten years ago when we originally installed one of these same faucets.

We bought this faucet to replace the same model we had for 13 years without any major problems. We did a lot of research on other choices of all brands including Kohler, then determined that all things considered, this model was probably the best bet. We were wrong!
Kohler had managed to make this faucet unusable by cheapening the connecting system between the end of the hose from the removable spray head and the copper water line coming down from the fixture under the sink. Kohler has three systems for doing this, one involves a threaded connection, another uses a snap connecter between two pieces of flexible hoses that cannot be taken apart without destroying the connecter (this is the one we had on our old model) and finally, the third and final “system” which simply will not stay together for more that five seconds when the water is turned on. This last example is the one we got with our faucet. To save myself the headache of shipping back the new faucet, I managed to reengineer the connection with about $28.00 worth of plastic hoses, hose clamps and brass fittings, most of which you will not find anywhere but a real hardware store (hard to find now days). Unless you are handy and don’t mind spending about an hour crawling under you sink, as well as trying to find an adequate hardware store, DON’T BUY THIS FUACET!!!! You also may not appreciate a flow rate that could be slower than you expect. My next challenge with this thing is to tear apart the “system” to find and remove the flow restricter to get my water flow back to what we had with the old model. Why does Kohler screw with this stuff? When you get it right, leave it alone, or at least hire a quality engineer to improve the design. Doesn’t Kohler check this stuff before they sell it?

I’ve had 4 in my last house, 1 in my RV and on my 6th for a apt. remodel.
Single leaver usable from both sides, lots of clearance under spout and very handy spray unit.

I got this faucet and it came with cracked handle and had to file a claim to get another one.
Second one showed up with missing peaces and had to use peaces from the first one to get the second one working.
Clearly amazon can keep tack of what’s good or not and I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone
    Waste of time/money.

We chose this faucet for a few reasons; the first being that we had large sinks and like the long overhang to reach the center of the sink and the pullout handle feature.
This current review is for a replacement for a previous Forte of the same design that lasted us 8-9 years. After 8 years it no longer rotated easily and the pull out wand had chips out of it that exposed sharp edges so we decided to replace with the same model. We could have fixed the rotation issue with an inexpensive Kohler gasket kit but because of the chips we decided to go for new.
If you have space under your kitchen sink it’s easy to install – we don’t: we have a large garbage disposal, large and deep Kohler sink which made installation a challenge both in removing the old and installing the new. But with a little patience got it done and it works / looks great.
The sprayhead IS a stainless “veneer” that will chip if hit against something hard, sometimes leaving a sharp edge on the periphery of the sprayhead. The counterweight works well in returning the sprayhead to its resting place, although I used some foam under the sink to minimize the clanking of the counterweight against the pipes.
The Spray / Stream button works wells and is a nice feature. I guess the best thing I can say is that we purchased this model a second time because of our satisfaction with the first.
Another thought: Our problem was that the faucet no longer swiveled easily and the sprayer was chipped and had low pressure. Another alternative to purchasing a whole new unit would be to purchase a washer and gasket kit for about $1 (Kohler has a great video on how to easily install this to fix the swiveling problem and a new sprayer head (less than $50) to fix the other. Next time…. Amazon only sells the sprayer head in chrome but I expect Kohler could supply it in other finishes.

This faucet was installed in 2012 in my kitchen and it has been pretty bad for the last three years. We can’t get the handle to sit right any more so sometimes it comes off in my hand as I swivel it, and recently the metal sheathing on the spray head has curled up in one area and I’ve cut my thumb while switching from stream to spray function. I now have that curled up area wrapped in duct tape which is a lovely look, especially since I am a kitchen designer. I wanted to support Kohler since its a Wisconsin company (I live in Madison) and always believed them to be a quality company so assumed that their products would hold up.
Kohler go back to your roots of high quality.
