  • Lumia MFT lens – wide angle 14mm lens MFT mount has compatible with Micro Four Thirds mounted cameras, including Lumia g Mirrorless Digital Cameras
  • Wide aperture – wide F2.5 aperture is outstanding for narrow depth of field shots with good booked background defocus, and sharp low light photography.
  • Low profile lens – the super narrow profile of this “pancake type” lens makes it a good choice for low weight travel and snapshot photography
  • Filter size – 46mm filter thread

This is my go-to lens for lazy street photography.
It focuses fast, is sharp, and compact.
Well worth the money if you are using a m43 camera.

Very fast autofocus. Is now my go-to walking around lens. Yes the 20mm 1.7 is sharper and faster but the focus is much slower, even more so in low light.

It basically lives in my GX7.

I bought this lens and love it, but I heard about two converters that work on the 14mm lens. One is a wide angle converter that converts the 14mm lens to an 11mm or .79X, and the other converter changes the 14mm lens to a macro lens. Neither Panasonic lens is no longer made and must be bought on eBay, used. The wide angle lens is model DMW-GWC1, and the macro lens is DMW-GMC1.

I’m using this lens with a Panasonic Lumix GX8. The low profile of the lens allows for easy carry of the camera, and minimal weight. It works great for general use, and I have no issues with the imaging quality. For wide angle, this lens works fine. As always, I recommend buying the B+W multicoated UV filter to protect the front of the lens. For the price, this lens is a bargain!

If I were considering buying this lens, I’d personally probably go with the Panasonic H-X015K G LEICA DG SUMMILUX 15mm/F1.7 ASPH instead. It’s larger physically and twice the price, but higher quality and has better low light capability.

Note that neither of these lenses has image stabilization built-in, which I consider a drawback *for my use*. I have Parkinson’s, which makes my hands shake. Image stabilization, along with faster lenses (hence faster shutter speed) help reduce the effects of camera shake. When I need to shoot in low light, I use the 12-35mm f/2.8 zoom, which is not as compact but does have image stabilization and water/dust resistance. Life is full of trade-offs, and lens choice is a fine example.

My Micro 4/3 camera kit consists of:
    Panasonic Lumix GX8 Camera Body
    Prime lenses:
    Panasonic LUMIX G 14mm f/2.5 II ASPH
Panasonic H-X025 Lumix G Micro 4/3 LEICA DG SUMMILUX 25mm f/1.4 Leica Aspherical Lens
Panasonic H-NS043 Lumix G Leica DG NOCTICRON 42.5mm/F1.2 Lens
    Zoom Lens:
    Panasonic X Series H-HS12035 Lumix G 12-35mm F2.8 ASPH Lens
    Flash:
    Panasonic DMW-FL360L Flash (Black)

And various other accessories. Check my other reviews to find out what works (and/or didn’t work) for me.

In this video I unbox and share a detailed review of the Panasonic Lumix G 14mm f2.5 prime lens for video creation. The Lumix G 14mm f2.5 has been around for a long time and doesn’t get a lot of attention. This detailed review takes a look at this budget prime lens from Panasonic for indoor video and compares it to the Panasonic Lumix G 25mm f1.7 and the Sigma 16mm f1.4.

I review the performance of the Panasonic Lumix G 14mm budget prime lens for various lighting configurations, test the autofocus , and compare field of view in 1080p and 4K modes on the Panasonic Lumix G7. I also compare and show the advantages of using the Lumix G 14mm for multiple shots using crop in with 4k mode.

The Panasonic Lumix G 14mm f2.5 could be the lens that doesn’t get the attention it deserves in 2021.

I bought this lens for my Lumix g85 and gh4. If you own a micro 4/3 camera then you should definitely buy this Pancake lens. Really small and easy to carry. This lens is sharp even at f2.5 aperture. Perfect for my YouTube channel. I mainly use this lens for shooting videos. I highly recommend this lens. Stop by my YouTube channel and ask me anything you want. Thanks

Un lente para fotografía callejera o de paisaje en general
Es más barato que la marca Olympus y no te privas de calidad en las fotos

I got this for my GX9, it works great as a 28mm equivalent lens for street and general photography where you don’t mind shooting a little wider then 35mm. It works excellent as an indoor lens for darker environments. Auto focus is fast. Lens is smaller then the 20mm f1.7 pancake.
