After buying several outdoor ceiling fans that just didn’t seem to move much air on a covered porch, this small fan finally does the job. It sweeps back and forth across a covered 12 x 22 porch and you can really feel the air no matter where you sit. The air feels good and it tends to keep the mosquitos away. It really is powerful. It’s not rated for outside use, but no issues with that so far over the past couple of months. Hopefully the roof keeps most of the rain away from it.

Solid, well-built shop fan. Wall installation went smoothly, but easier if you are two. Would have given it 5 * if it was not for the fact the lowest setting is still too powerful. There are three speed settings and I would have though that the lowest setting would have been a tad less powerful for a more gentle breeze. Noisy due to the powerful motor and blade speed. But overall a quality product.

Placed in my large shed at
Cottage where I have a gym set up and it works great. A bit
Loud but that fine. Mine didn’t have a remote

I purchased 2 of these on June 13th and installed them in our bar/cooking building. Received on June 15th. Installed June 16th and as of June 25th both quit oscillating. Now I get to go through the trouble of finding boxes big enough to send these pieces of junk back. I am no happy at all. Having a party for the 4th and now I get to start all over again and I’m running out of time. JUNK!!!! DO NOT BUY!!! 😡😡

I LOVE this fan. Very powerful even on level one. Going to be great to keep mosquitoes and other insects from flying around on the patio during the hot summer months. I thought it was a great price for how strong and powerful it is. Very sturdy and easy to install.

Insanity! 100$ FAN AND THE gears popping right of the box it might last a year!!!!!!! I have no choice I have to use it because I can’t waite for another one, fast shipping was only good point! Why put all that money in a housing when the gears won’t last a year, “made of plastic” Very heavy fan to have said gears as well. Screw for bracket are too short, almost impossible to hang in a greenhouse. I have been doing greenhouse construction here in Colorado and I have never seen any fan this hard to hang! What were they thinking when they made this bracket? Trash, don’t buy it! I’m going to use mine till the gears pop then send it back and get it replaced. It has a warranty thank GOD CAUSE ITS GONNA NEED IT!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!

When we receive the fan, the speed selector switch was already broken. But since we were going to mount it in our garage and basically leave it at one speed, I disassembled the fan and selected the medium speed with a screwdriver then reassembled it. It worked fine until mid September, basically two months, when the fan oscillation mechanism chewed through the gear. I have since locked the fan into a singular position. This is an extremely low quality product

The original fan I ordered came with a broken speed selector. After installing the new fan, and really taking a good look at the whole fan, the speed selector switch is definitely the weak point. I opened up the small panel that houses the electronics, and the selector switch is just a piece of plastic attached to another piece of plastic that goes into a small hole in the control board. If it was metal, I wouldn’t have had a problem with the first fan. Overall this fan is easy to install, moves air very well and is about as loud as your average cheap oscillating fan. The all metal body and metal fans are very nice. Fan oscillates well. I really wish the selector lever was all metal too! This fan is heavy duty except for that part… and the selector switch is something the end user will manipulate every time its used. Company sent a replacement fan immediately, so I can’t be too upset. Once you get the wall plate on, swapping fans is trivial.

This fan is very expensive, but it is not very good. The wind speed rotates too fast, and it turns away without feeling it. Moreover, it makes a squeak when rotating, which makes it hard to listen. Moreover, the installation process lacks parts, so it is really not worth buying.

Works as advertised. Keeps flying insects off our deck. Keeps it cool as well because it faces dead south. Had to drill into the brick for the mount so if your not a tool person consider getting someone competent to help you out. It is loud but we only have to use it on low and we’re used to it already. Probably could have gone with a sixteen inch. Our deck is 25 x 16. The airflow is outstanding.

It’s true, these aren’t “High Velocity” fans, but then they don’t have motors the size and volume of jet engines either. They’re good fans, they move the air well, and they’re fairly quiet – i.e. you can carry on a conversation near them without shouting or even raising your voice above normal conversation level. You might have a problem hearing if you’re whispering. They also mount pretty easily. The mounting brackets and keyhole opening for the top screws allow you to hang it temporarily to take the weight off while you put the bottom screws in, and then finish by driving the top screws the rest of the way home. BE CAREFUL WITH THE OSCILLATION CONTROL KNOB. Check to make sure it’s screwed all the way in before pulling it (turn clockwise to tighten). One of mine came off in my hand the second time I pulled it, but it screwed back in easily enough. I strongly suggest turning the fan OFF before pulling or pushing the oscillation control knob – it doesn’t operate well at all while the fan is running. All in all they’re not bad fans. I’m good with ’em.

Sept. 8 Update (just shy of 3 months of heavy use) – Hmmm, not so sure now as one of them has started acting up. When oscillating , the fan turns Off (shorts out???) when it hits the peak point to the right. The momentum of the fan blade keeps the oscillation screw turning the fan back to the left just far enough for the motor to kick back On again, but it’s a constant Off, On, Off, On every time it turns all the way to its right. That’s annoying, but it’s also quite concerning as it could very well be caused by a short in the wiring. I’ve turned off the oscillation and am seeking info on replacing that fan. The other one (I bought two) seems to be working fine.

Wanted a wall mounted, solidly built fan with Metal blades. Live in Florida and wanted this on my Lanai (Porch). Well built and heavy. After 4 months have never had it on higher than the 2 setting, 1 most of the time. So when summer hits that 3 setting will be a hurricane. It rocks! Highly recommended. Oh and I bought the fan. No one gave it to me for a review so this is my honest review opinion.

If there were a “zero star” option available, surely that would be more appropriate. The cheap plastic internal gears that actuate the oscillation function failed after about 4 hours of use. Yes the mount is clumsy, yes it’s difficult to get the angle you want, but all of that would have been a minor nuisance if it had actually worked. I spent a good bit of $ on this to get something industrial, something robust for my basement shop. After a few months of very infrequent use, it’s going in the dumpster today. What a miserable testimony to cheap design.
