I toasted toasts in this toaster and the toasts are toasted.

Sometimes the toast gets ejected too hard and it lands on top of the toaster.

You can clean the toaster via a crumb tray below as well as a window insert at the front.

It’s pretty and it toasts. Make of it what you will.

Let’s be real, we are talking about a toaster, a TOASTER! Why should anyone want to write a review of the most used and easiest to forget ancillary appliance you own? Because the Dash Clear View Toaster is that awesome!

The short of it; don’t waste your time looking for anything else. This toaster can handle anything you throw at it with golden brown perfection, quickly. The Dash Clear View Toaster is the best bang for your buck, hands down!

The long of it. We are a “somewhat” healthy eating family. We run the gambit when it comes to bread choices. Hardly ever white, mostly wheat for the kids, and tapioca and/or rice bread for the adults. Not all breads toast to perfection at the same rate. Each one of these breads has a very specific heat tolerance that can make for difficult toasting times. And that’s where the window really comes in handy.

With the Dash Clear View Toaster you can sit back and enjoy the toasting experience all while watching the progress through its’ front window. Gone are the days of premature toast ejection just to check on the “doneness” of a specific bread only to have to reinsert the payload back into the heated bay. Visible perfection each and every time.

With the white or Tapioca bread, which toast rather quickly, a quick turn to 4 gives us the perfect amount of crunch. The wheat bread takes slightly longer, about a 5 to a 5.5 max. And then there is the ALWAYS FROZEN rice bread. This beast of a bread (Food for Life brand) is twice toasted. Once as a 7 with “defrost” selected and a second plunge at a 7 without the “defrost” selected. AMAZING!

The controls are easy to understand, clearly marked and simple to operate. Plug it in, place the toast in the slot provided, push down the plunger and away you go. It takes a matter of a use or two to figure out the proper settings to your liking.

The “defrost” feature just doubles the time on the dial. The “bagel” feature only toasts on one side. With some sandwich breads like rye / pumpernickel etc. that have a tendency to toast really well and tear-up the roof of your mouth I like to use the bagel setting. Put the toasted side to the inside (meat side) and the soft untoasted side to the outside, you get the crunch without tearing up the roof of your mouth. AWESOMNESS!

I have yet to use the “re-heat” feature … so you are on your own with that one. Sorry Charlie.

As far as the toast rocketing from the toaster with the velocity of an unladen swallow, African or Eurpean – doesn’t matter, I have found that to be inconsequential. Does it pop up and sometime flop out on its own? Yes, rarely. But that has happened with my old toaster as well (a re-gifted 2 slice Panasonic that we got as a wedding gift 22 years ago). So really I kind of like the nostalgia of it when it does happen. BONUS! Let’s just hope that I get 22 years out of this amazing beast.

So in conclusion, I just wrote an essay on a toaster. What the hell am I thinking?! Yes, it is that great. Click the “Add to Cart” button and get the Dash Clear View Toaster. You will not regret yourself for doing so, unlike your college spring break weekend. Love you son!

I am a toaster fanatic…always looking for a better one! This one may be “the one”! I love the window so you can keep an eye on your progress. The bagel function works well and we use it for toasting hamburger buns and it works great! It’s amusing that the toast pops up and OUT of the toaster… sometimes it lands on top of the toaster or flops onto the counter; it doesn’t bug me, my counters clean 🙃. It took probably 20 uses for the browning to regulate; at first the top portion of the bread would brown significantly more yhan the bottom. Idk why but it seems to have worked itself out and browns evenly now. I love it!

I researched a long time before deciding to buy the Dash Clear View toaster. Purchased due to high marks from other buyers on Amazon. I really wanted to love this toaster. It’s only positive… looks nice on counter. From day one we had difficulty with toaster toasting evenly. Ok….this received great reviews so maybe it’s just us? So we gave it some time and played around with the settings….always with a different result. Occasionally it did what it was supposed to do….toasted a perfect piece of toast. Normally we found ourselves “babysitting” the toaster for fear of burning. It also would pop the toast out with such force it normally landed on top of the toaster or on the counter. There is also a design flaw…the chrome around the top of the toaster get VERY hot and we’ve burned our fingers more than once. The knobs and buttons are plastic and feel cheaply made. After almost two months….I’m finally tired of it. Called manufacture and they have offered to give us a replacement once old toaster is returned. Waiting on them to email me a return label.
I will let potential buyers know if second one works better.

Update: After almost two weeks …finally received replacement today. Didn’t even get it out of the box… it was the wrong color. Disappointing as I had informed customer service I purchased black. Called and was informed black was “out of stock” so manufacturer sent white. Since my appliances are black and chrome I asked for a refund and will be sending this back. Didn’t want a white toaster and the possibility of “babysitting” a second one wasn’t appealing.

I loved the look of this toaster but was concerned with the mixed reviews. I decided, after looking at toasters that ran from $13 to $299 ( who pays $299 for a toaster ? ) this was so much more attractive than the others, it would be worth buying as long as I could return it if not working properly. So, for an additional $4 I bought the Amazon 4-year warranty. The toaster is great…lovely design and works just fine. I was concerned about the toast flying out of the toaster but, although it does pop up with more enthusiasm than most, the toast settles back into the slot. I have found that rather than use the defrost function the # 7 setting will toast frozen whole grain bread to perfection. So far, very happy with this product.

Our old toaster stopped working and my husband didn’t want the same brand as the toaster always toasted unevenly and one side was dark the other light. So I watched reviews for toaster and this one was recommended by America’s test Kitchen as the toaster with a reasonable cost. I have to say it toasts really well, even throughout and on both sides, it toasts fast enough that the bread is still moist on the inside. Love the look as well since you can watch your bread being toasted through the window. It’s awesome.

This is a GREAT toaster. We’ve bought so many lousy toasters in the past five years but we finally bought the right one. Makes perfect toast and bagels weather frozen or not. It looks great and takes up less room set back against the counter backsplash out of the way. Love the red! Matches my Kitchenaid mixer and coffee maker!

The media could not be loaded.

I wanted a toaster that was easy to clean and also like the see through glass adding to this toaster which is definitely a plus … but if there is one thing I don’t like about this toaster is it’s push up strength…. Sometimes it push bread out of the toaster unto the counter …. Sometimes the bread even fall on the ground…. The push up strength is higher when pressing the cancel button …99% of time the bread always fall out of the toaster when I press the cancel button … no idea if all the toasters made by this brand are suppose to do that but it is quite annoying when my toast fell on the ground , sometimes my counter is not even clean and my toast fell on the dirty counter…

Cooks Illustrated recommended this toaster and I fail to understand why. There are several problems with it. First , it’s too shallow to take to regular slices of bread side by side upright; they need to to sideways and depending ont he loaf it’s a tight fit. You can clearly see the toast doesn’t even descend to place it equally between the lower and upper heating elements. Secondly, it does not toast evenly at all. Not only is one side darker, but it’s not close to consistent top to bottom. Terrible toasting ability and really isn’t that the only job we are asking of this appliance ? Either quality control is non-existent, or there are fake reviews here. Nothing else would explain the difference between the results that I actually achieved and the reviews and photos posted here. On level 5, white bread does not brown at all. A few brown stripes close to the heating elements at best. The window sound interesting but the inside of the toaster is quite dark and it’s not helpful. Anyway because the 2 sides toast inconsistently, even observing one side wouldn’t tell the entire story. After toasting nearly an entire loaf of white bread testing this machine , none of the pieces were anywhere near a consistent color. Oh and third, forget using this toast for 1 slice; it forcefully ejects a single slice with great gusto. It is the exact opposite of the motorized lift of say a leverless model.

I’m discouraged that nearly every toaster has reviews that run from “best toaster ever” to “if you wanted to design the worlds worst toaster, don’t bother because it’s already been done and this is it”. Price does it seem to bear any affect on overall consistent quality for these small appliances.

We would give this toaster 5 stars if it weren’t for the fact that it will literally throw the toast at you. It browns evenly, is plenty big for bagels and even a split croissant. But this thing ejects with such force, that we’ve had toast on the floor, in the sink, and on a few humorous occasions, the toast has landed directly on the plate. If you don’t mind a bit of humor to start your day, this toaster is a good choice.

I went from a cheap $10 basic toaster to this beauty. It was the colour that drew me in and although I will lie to my friends and family about how much I spent on it I have no regrets.
