I remodeled my kitchen in 2017. By 2019, both of the soap dispensers I bought were broken. The pump gets stuck depressed and is very difficult to pull back out. I don’t know how to fix it. I wrote to Moen, and they sent me a new kit, but it wasn’t the part of the appliance that’s broken. I’ve cleaned it, unscrewed it, done everything I could think of, and there was no resolution. Even when I wrote to and called Moen, they did not help other than sending me the kits. I guess they did not understand how it was broken (though I think most people have this problem).

But they match my kitchen, and one was not as poorly made as the other, so I kept one and bought a new one.

My advice would be to choose a different style or brand or, if you absolutely love it, pray you get lucky.

Fill from above makes a mess because you cannot see the fill line. Pump is awkward to use.

I have gone through at least 7 different built in soap pumps for my kitchen sink. The majority of them would only kind of work. They required to pump heavily to work. Dawn is a thicker soap than hand soap. The internal bead would get stuck and not let the soap flow through. This pump hasn’t failed. It has “anti clog technology.” I’m unsure what that actually is and what makes that proprietary, but I can say that this pump does work without fail. But be advised that it does take some muscle to push the pump button down. It has strong suction within its unit. So it’s not as easy to pump as any of our previous units. But that’s also because the standard pumps weren’t airtight. So it’s great and you’ll get a slight workout from washing dishes.

After all said and done, I’m glad I got this dispenser. It’s made of high quality metal and matches my other Moen water faucet. Very good looking and works very well. I’m happy with how much soap is dispensed per pump.

I have Costco industrial size Ajax soap under the sink and I retrofitted the dispenser to connect directly to the soap jug via a 5/16 ID, 7/16 OD tube I got from Home Depot. So far I haven’t needed to install a barbed check valve in the line.

Instead of connecting the plastic soap container to the bottom of the dispenser, I just connected the plastic straw tube, and then connected the plastic tube. It’s a snug fit if you get the right hose (pictures included). I was thinking of getting a soap dispenser tube kit from AZ, but they were asking between 12-20 dollars! I got the tube from HD for like 9 dollars for 20ft! Plenty to spare for other projects. You can probably get it cheaper if you get 5 or 10 feet.

I drilled a 5/16 hole in the top of the soap jug and made sure the tube didn’t curl up by using a stiff straw that connected to the end of the tube. You can also look for a 7/16 rigid straw to connect to the hose, and then put it in the soap bottle.

All in all, the dispenser costs a lot, bur your paying for great craftsmanship, limited lifetime warranty, and it pumps thick soap without issues. Sure, I could buy a 15 dollar pump, but it’s gonna be ugly and gonna break in less than a year.

The media could not be loaded.

I bought a new Moen faucet and wanted to have the metals match so I purchased this at the same time. You certainly can tell the difference in a quality product. One barometer I use is the weight of the item, this is heavier than other dispensers and it comes ready to work. No real minor parts to put together but there are some things to keep in mind.

First, Make sure you have bottle clearance underneath, I had to move our instant hot water unit over just a smidge but in plumbing terms that’s an hour’s work right there.

Secondly, you have to press the silver unit hard onto the black rubber base until you hear a click. That was made clear in my box but I’ll show you in the video. The pump is not adjustable so you can’t control how much comes out. We like our soap a little on the thin side and I think the amount that comes out is just fine.

Was looking for something to match the spot resist stainless finish of my faucet. While this was not really my style and it was more expensive than some of the other ones, I was afraid the shorter spout on those would not be long enough to go over the edge and soap would spill on the side of the sink. It does match my faucet perfectly and looks like it was made to go with the faucet. It looks very classy on my island. For those who said it doesn’t dispense enough soap I think that’s a good thing and doesn’t waste soap and dispenses just enough to wash few dishes here and there when I need something and the dishwasher isn’t full enough to run. For those who say you can’t fill it with soap from the top, yes you can. It’s a bit hard to take the spout off and put it back on but I’m sure there is a trick that I will learn after using it a few times. There is a video here showing how to do that and I watched it before I ordered this. I thought I had it figured out when it came to actually filling the dispenser which I hadn’t! To those who are wondering if it swivels, yes it does. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.

We moved to a new home about 3 months ago and the faucet was faulty. The plumber who came out to fix it ended up temporarily installing the Moen faucet that matches this soap dispenser, which was an upgrade from our previous faucet. We ended spending a little to keep the faucet — it was the style we wanted anyway, but we didn’t want to pay the builder extra to upgrade it. The old faucet had a separate hole for the sprayer, so when we got the new one, we had a spare hole to cover/fill.

We decided to get a soap dispenser and after looking at a number of options, we decided on this one. It cost more than we would have liked to pay, but it is a really substantial, quality dispenser. It looks great in our kitchen and has worked well thus far. I like things to be convenient, and I’m glad I have dish soap on demand without having to leave a bottle on the counter.

Hubby filled it up, so I don’t have experience with that, but hopefully that part won’t be a problem moving forward.

Overall, we’ve been really satisfied with it and would recommend it.
