I bought this to use with recipe cards for the meal delivery services and it works well.

Looks like it should last and it doesn’t appear out of place in my kitchen.

It’s nice that it’s made out of bamboo if it’s truly the sustainable, environmentally product they say it is.

my mom bought this for my drawing tablet. paired with a sticky mat to keep it in place on my desk, it works super well and is adjustable. i had trouble finding a stand that was sturdy enough to hold my 15 inch tablet but this one works super well. its easy to store as well, the whole thing just folds up.

I bake a lot, so I ordered this thinking maybe it would work. Well to my surprise it is the neatest one ever. I had other book holders but the minute you move them the book falls out and you have a mess. This one is nice and big so it can hold bigger books and the black metal pieces on the bottom hold the book in place wonderful. You can move the book and everything stays in place. When I first looked at it I thought no way will I like this. But today I used it. And I love it. Don’t have the recipe book falling all over when my hands are messy. I would buy this again.

Sturdy product and a good size so can be used for larger and heavier books such as text books.

Holds textbooks and trade paperbacks. The arms can be a little stiff at first but they swing back and forth after a bit. You can angle the book up and down as you like. Nothing fancy but it does the job well.

This is a solidly built and nicely finished book stand. This lifetime recreational reader is pleased with it.

But I find the spring clips meant to hold pages to be unwieldy. They in my opinion pivot from the wrong end. And I’m worried that if I flex the to hold the pages of a large book I’m going to snap them. So to hold a book’s pages open I instead use one of those largest-possible spring-loaded plastic clips normally used to reseal potato chip bags. Or a very large rubber band that I wrap across the pages and behind the book stand.

If you have, as have I, worn out one or more plastic book stands, try this one. It’s great…

This is good looking and sturdy. Seems to be well made, except for the pages holders. They are metal strips, but don’t expand enough to hold the pages of 1 1/2″ thick books when they are in a more than half way open position. I’m quite sure it would cause the page holders to break. This book holder would be good for cookbooks and books that don’t require much page-turning, as in casual reading. I read large print books with the aid of a 5x magnifier. I had hoped to use this for hands-free reading and to eliminate my forward head position. There is no holder position that will allow this,–for me. (Perhaps my “reading table” is too high.) I still must lean forward to read with the holder.

I needed something to hold my cookbooks and free up valuable counter space, so I purchased this stand after reading the reviews. The price is reasonable and the stand does the job I’m looking for, but this product is not without some odd flaws.

    PROS:

    – Sustainable material
    – Generally looks nice and seems robust/stable enough
    – Collapses neatly for storage

    CONS:

    – While I appreciate the use of bamboo as a more sustainable material, the finishing at some of the edges is very rough. I sheared a chunk of skin off my finger when unpackaging this, so handle with care. Suggest checking the edges and sanding down before use.
    – It’s difficult to use if you have hand mobility problems. The adjustment bracket is challenging to open without a thumb notch, and it’s screwed together pretty tightly (and squeaks noisily when you open it). The pageholders are also difficult to lift and move.
    – The metal bracket is visibly crooked, but thankfully still fits into the notches. I’m perplexed that this wasn’t noticed during assembly.
    – The design of the adjustment angles don’t make any sense. Why advertise you have five angles if you can only use three of them with any stability? The second to closest one is barely stable provided you have no weight on it, and the closest notch means the stand falls over. What was the point in manufacturing them this way if you can’t use all the notches?

My partner and I just got into cookbooks after moving into our new home. We have a plethora of them and always had a hard time holding the book open while cooking. This stand solves that issue. Easily. And it’s cute! Highly recommended

It does the job of holding a book upright.

If you plan to just put it somewhere and leave it there, it might be good. But if you want to move it around, I would not recommend bc it is kind of bulky and heavy.

The wood is rather thick, I feel like more so than it needs to be for a bookstand. The base is sturdy, but the hinge has some friction, so it won’t go down all the way until you put a book on top, which I found slightly annoying.

I would say the depth of the base is really not that much, so watch out if you have a fat book. The seller said it could hold up to a 3 inch book, but my 1 inch Genki book already takes up the whole stand (the book binding also matters).

The finish of the product is B-grade, maybe C.

The clips for holding pages are quite bad. First of all, they are way too strong. They also take away from the aesthetic (and are the only part of the bookstand you see). If it were easy to remove them, I probably would.

As others have mentioned, the first notch does not really work. It tips over with slight weight. The second works okay, maybe not with a fat book.

Overall, I will use this and I think my neck will be happier, but I’m just kind of peeved at how easily the design could be improved.

A friend was admiring my bookstand which I bought from Amazon (BestBookStand INP-102-O, Brand: Nice Production). I wanted to buy another as a gift, and went to my Amazon Orders page with the intension of using the “Buy Again” feature. However, my original bookstand no longer appeared and Amazon recommended this one. I bought this one and was very disappointed — especially after I found my original bookstand is still available and at a lower price.
    – The tilt range is much smaller than the Nice Production product
    – Page holders are extremely stiff
    – Page holders do not accommodate large books
    – Hinges protrude and books and fingers catch on them
    – Difficult to balance on anything but a large flat surface

My back and neck was hurting from looking down while typing. This has saved me so much! This nursing book is giant and holds up wonderfully! Best purchase I’ve made!

It’s good but it’s flawed in assembly. It doesn’t open all the way like some other ones on Amazon (Readeer). That’s because it should have been flushed to the wood at the bottom, and not centered. This one is centered, as you can see on the pic. Also, as a result, a large chunk of the hinge is sticking out on the area where a book rests.

Please fix your assembly and train the assemblers.
