Picture is good, stand is a bit flimsy, good for home office use.

First of all it’s a budget monitor and its brand’s name is “Sceptre” not “Spectre”. You can not find something like this for less than 300$.

    Good points:
    1. Vibrant colors, deep and bright, high quality pictures.
    2. You have control over the screen features and I think default settings is just good.
    3. Its sharpness is well-satisfying in this range.
    4. It comes with lots of screws and a screwdriver to mount the stand.
    5. It comes with a display port which is nice, but useless if you want to connect it to your laptop since laptops do not support this port and you may need a convertor!
    6. Stand is metallic, solid and heavy.
    7. Brightness is great.
    8. Power adapter is included

    Bad points:
    1. Speakers 😐, better not to say! Manufacturer would had been better not mounting these speakers on it!
    2. Unfortunately, it does not come with HD Cable, so make sure to provide a high-speed (4K, 60 Hz) HD cable for it.
    3. I could not find any settings to adjust brightness!!! (Other controls are already provided and are enought)

Finally, I recommend it for programming, designing, watching movie, but not for gaming!

Picture quality is decent but a pixel went out within first 24 hours of use.

the description is misleading: the monitor provides 75 Hz refresh rate (not 144) and 4 ms response time (not 1 ms)

I had planned on returning this but foolishly didn’t do so within the return window. First off, the title of this product at the time had 144hz, which it was not. You could say that it was my own fault for not reading into the specs more, and you’d be right. I saw the title, assumed it was what I was looking for, and went for it realizing it was only 60hz afterwards. I’ve been using this monitor for 3 months now, and about a month ago, a week after the return window closed, a cluster of foggy pixels appeared in the upper left corner of the monitor, which is a shame cause the image quality from what I can tell is amazing. Unfortunately if you’re a gamer, I cannot recommend this monitor.

Replaced a wide-screen monitor and I am very happy with it. Exceeds my expectations. Not a gamer so can’t comment on that. Does everything else I could ask for on a budget.

Lot’s of positive reviews for this monitor…

☺ The price seemed right so I sprung for it. I did an SRGB color calibration using DisplayCAL and a Spyder5 colorimeter. This may seem like overkill for a budget monitor, but I did it just the same.

☻ The results showed that the monitor did not meet the “99% sRGB” claimed by Sceptre. However, it was close (see attached image of the calibration results).

☻ The speakers are equivalent to speakers you would find at a dollar store.

☺ The included DP cable is appreciated

☺ Image-wise, not bad. Calibrated, there’s a lot of room if you want to punch up the colors/brightness for some vivid visuals.

☺ The base is heavy enough to support the monitor. But you must treat the monitor itself gently since it is not durable.

☻ The onscreen controls provide a fair amount of customization but one key option that is missing is color temperature. Yes there are some basic color settings (“normal” and “cool”). There are separate RGB and brightness controls.

☻ This monitor is just a little less than I expected given the claims by Sceptre.

☻ Good for Photoshop? Don’t expect miracles, a simple color gradient from white to deep blue will reveal some banding.

☺ Good for Gaming? Yes the 75hz improves things and the LED display technology delivers good picture (for the money).

☺ Good for 3d/Cad? Generally yes.
