I really like these overall. My mom had a set and I bought one for myself based on how long they’ve served her well. Unfortunately, one of the bowls broke a month into owning them when we took it out of the fridge. It shattered spontaneously in my spouse’s hand – he hadn’t knocked or dropped it. He was OK thankfully. I submitted for a warranty replacement; we’ll see if Pyrex honors it. A little concerned but flaws do happen, so hopefully the rest of the set holds up better.

Love these so much! Plastic Tupperware has become a nightmare to clean and gets stained and nasty, so I trashed them all and purchased glass. Now the food glides right off. For those who are complaining that their dishes have exploded in the microwave, I’d venture to guess that you’re making the rookie mistake of nuking leftovers straight from the fridge. I learned back in my waitressing days that anytime a glass dish goes from cold to hot too quickly, it will shatter or explode. My recommendation is either 1. Let the refrigerated dish sit for a couple of minutes on the counter before putting it in the microwave, or 2. Put the food in a new dish (one that’s not cold from the fridge), then microwave. I personally plan to never microwave my new glassware or put it in the dishwasher, as this is a lovely set and I’d like to preserve it as long as possible. It takes mere seconds to clean them by hand.

Most lids are broken and the bowl rims are chipping after just a few months of use. I contacted the manufacturer regarding this issue and they didn’t seem to care at all. There was no concern expressed about the potential for glass being released into food. That, in my mind, is completely unacceptable. There are plenty of other glass bowl manufacturers you should give your business to before buying these!

Not worth the money the bowl shattered upon puttin RICE IN IT. The rice wasn’t ever hot, warm at most. Still shattered and I wasn’t even touching it, filled it with my lunch (rice and meat) and it shattered out of nowhere. Thought this was going to be a better container the standard plastic ones I get. Guess I was wrong

Big fan of Pyrex products but this one really let me down. The containers themselves are great but the lids suck. I dont own a dishwasher so only wash by hand and the plastic lids are still cracking and falling apart.
So if you just need the plastic dishes for some reason, absolutely buy. If you need to store food you should avoid.

I would like to thank Amazon customer support for their assistance in the matter was totally satisfied with their solution.
Highly disappointed in product. I have been using glass pyrex for over 15 years without issue. In fact until 4/6/18 absolutely no complaints. However less the 3 months after receiving this set one of the glass bowls exploded in my microwave. Reheating food. Very, very disappointed with this Pyrex set.

Microwave safe?? I don’t think so…. avoid these. They blew up when used to warm up some rice.

Microwaved soup for 2 minutes and the glass shattered scaring the crap out of me as soup poured out of the microwave onto the stove. It seemed to have cracked around the line of where the soup line was. I’m not sure why it cracked but it seems that other reviewers have also had this problem. I bought it based on the Pyrex name hoping that they would be somewhat durable. I would not recommend these at all. It’s better to buy an inexpensive plastic set that won’t break.

The glass dishes seem strong and good quality, like I’ve come to expect from Pyrex. The lids, however, are where they seem to be cutting back on quality, which affects the usability of the overall product. Most of the lids are good, but the two 3 cup containers with the green lids are so flimsy they won’t stay on the container. These two containers were the ones I was most looking forward to as I wanted to use them for lunches, but I don’t trust these lids to not fall off in my lunch bag. It takes very little effort for two of the corners to come undone, which is a shame because these dishes would otherwise be perfect for meal prep. The biggest disappointment for me: I was looking at all sorts of meal prep containers from other companies, but the lids looked like they’d easily break, so I thought I’d stick with Pyrex which I knew to be good quality. Sad to say, my instincts were wrong in this case.

I love Pyrex because the glass is ready for any temperature and I dont worry about plastics in my food. Easy to Chuck in the microwave or freezer. However I was surprised how cheap the plastic lids are. The tops don’t make things water tight so not ideal for lunchboxes if you need something that won’t leak if dumped over. And after 1 month of use the lids started to split and crack (I never microwaved the lids). I WOULD NOT ORDER AGAIN!

Only buy this Pyrex set if you’re David Blaine, because you’ll be eating glass! After owning this set for less than a day, I tried to microwave something at ROOM TEMPERATURE for 60 Seconds, and the container shattered into a million pieces all over the microwave! This is despite the product description that says that the containers are oven and microwave safe. I have owned other Pyrex containers and have microwaved them with no issues, but this one blew up catistrophicaly on the very first use. I enjoy the set, and the look of the product but I cannot stress this enough, IT LITERALLY EXPLODED IN MY MICROWAVE!

I love using these, they are better than other glass ones with plastic lids with rubber edges which claim to be spill proof but arent after a while.
This set isnt exactly water tight but they do the job good enough after multiple times in dishwasher. Glass is tough and doesnt crack from fridge to microwave. I use it in the oven and then pop the lid on to take for lunch the next day.
