So, I first need to start off and say I am not sure they’re going to put me as an owner for this review. I bought this product nearly 7 months ago. I do own this machine. I never write reviews unless I feel it’ll be beneficial enough for others. So let’s start with the good. When this machine was brand new, the coffee taste absolutely amazing. I never thought an automated coffee machine with Pods could taste so good. I would always clean it via the descaling with only the Nespresso descaling solution. I would clean it anywhere from every 2-3 months. So a few months after owning it, I started to realize that the machine leaks water. I did some research and realized that a lot of DelongHi machines have this issue. For me it wasn’t a big deal. I just fill it up when I need coffee, and empty it when I’m done making my cup. Sounds tedious, but the coffee is worth it. Approximately 6 months after owning the machine, it started making extremely loud noises. Like a grinding noise. I ran a rinse cycle through hoping it would help but no. The next day I tried to make my coffee, the machine wouldn’t stop putting out coffee. The coffee that came out was extremely diluted and the noise was getting worse. The coffee was closer to water than drip coffee makers. It tasted horrible or so that is what I thought at the time. I descaled it hoping that would help. I contacted Nespresso and they said they’d cover it under Warranty. I was excited. They sent me a box which was really easy to fit the machine into super snugly. I filled out a piece of paper and listed all the things I experienced with the machine, including the leak. After I sent it, I got it back less than 2 weeks later. I pulled it out and started brewing again. The coffee that came out tasted extremely burnt. Drip coffee taste WAY better than what came out. I did a few more cups over the course of two weeks and the taste never changed it; stayed burnt and horrible. I contacted Nespresso and told them my issue. (Which BTW they never fixed the leak, it is still there.) They told me that the machine needed a cleaning. I told them I descaled it before I sent it in to them. Anyway, I got off the phone having no luck with progress on customer satisfaction and decided to descale the machine again. BAM! Like that the Flavor was BACK! Bad ass coffee like it was when I first bought it! I was so happy! Now here comes the extremely bad part. It hasn’t been two weeks since I last descaled the machine. And the burnt taste is coming back. Whatever they did to it in repairs really messed this machine up. I’m sure I got year old parts and machine parts that the previous owners never cleaned or descaled or took care of. Never again will I buy a Delonghi product. What a huge disappointment for all the trouble. $238 (at that time it was this price) for a coffee machine to last 7 months as intended. You can buy this machine and enjoy it, but be warned if your machine breaks there’s a huge chance you’re going to have old parts put into the machine if you plan to send it in for repairs, and you’ll be gambling with that refurbished product lottery, good luck to you. I’ve changed my mind this company replaced my machine with a brand new one that works better than the original and it still works flawlessly to this day.

I bought this coffee machine and it kept leaking water. I called the customer service twice. They collect every piece of the confidential information I have, which made me extremely uncomfortable. And they asked me to report the extremely long serial number under the machine. I finished the process first time and follow the procedures. Though it didn’t fix the problem. When I called the second time, they did the same thing. Seriously?

We just purchased the Nespresso Virtuo machine by DeLonghi with the frother. Did much research and looked at many reviews. This is the first time I’ve reviewed a product. Doing it because my wife and I totally love this machine, frother and the results. Many people noted that the new vertuo pods are pricey. They are, but you won’t look back. Best. Coffee. Ever. Easiest system and well-made machine (Swiss made). We just returned from Sicily and this Nespresso combo offers a better cup of cappuccino every time. Also, the vertuo lineup offers so many awesome coffee styles, and the pods are recyclable. Really. We love, love this. Our best purchase in years. Our Keurig machine (Cuisinart) and all of our pods are boxed up and gone.

I had been putting off purchasing this machine due to some reviews stating that the coffee was not hot enough. It turns out that most of those reviews were for the original models. The new Vertuoline machines seem to brew a slightly hotter cup than the original. Granted it is not so hot as to scald you but who drinks coffee that hot? When I received the machine I was first very impressed with how it was packaged. After unpacking it I was delighted to see that it came with a box of 12 capsules, 9 coffee and 3 espresso. All of various flavors and intensities, it also explained what made up each flavor and used a 1 to 11 number system to tell you how strong the blend was, 1 being the weakest and 11 the strongest. The bundle also came with a fabulous milk frothier. The initial setup is very easy to follow, it tells you how to do a first time use cleaning and how to brew your first cup of coffee. I prefer more of a latte when drinking my coffee so that gave me a chance to try out the milk frothier that came with the machine. First after inserting the coffee pod and starting the brewing process I was delighted to see how the coffee and foam actually separated just as seen in the videos on the website. It only took about 45 seconds to brew the coffee and the frothier took almost exactly the same amount of time to heat and froth the milk. Thus if you drink a latte coffee start them both at the same time to get the hottest coffee possible. For a latte I recommend using at least a 16oz cup or mug so both the coffee and milk will fit. I tried various flavors and intensities both with and without milk. Once I smelled the aroma, saw and then tasted various blends I was hooked!!!! The quality of these coffees are as good as it gets when home brewing. I have since retired my previous machine and will never be satisfied with anything less than my new Nespresso machine and coffees. If you truly love coffee house coffee then why not make them yourself at home. Save time and money!!!! Once you try this machine I am sure you will love it just as I do!!!!

So excited when I received this yesterday. My friend had a nespresso machine and after she made me a cup of coffee I had to have my own. I was skeptical on the price but this machine makes such delicious frothy coffee. The coffee blends Nespresso has are so good and such a variety. The machine makes some noise when brewing but it’s not too loud. The cup tray height is adjustable to accommodate different cup sizes which greatly reduces splashing if you’re using a short fat cup or an espresso cup. I really like that the machine disposed of the cartridges into the side container for easy disposal. There is a nice coffee variety pack that comes with the machine so you can sample some of their coffee blends. Over all I’m just really happy with my investment and look forward to making coffee every day.

Mediocre at best. Taste is ok.. Not hot enough. This updated machine was supposed to fix that, but still feel like your coffee is just slightly hotter than warm. Original small machine was better, and cheaper. The temperature was the big determinant. Going to return. Find myself almost wishing I had my Keurig back….

The coffee is utterly delicious but like everyone else is saying, the pods are criminally expensive. When pouring water for making tea, the machine takes 5 minutes to fill up a mug, and the water is barely lukewarm.
We bought this when it was on sale for $170 (the original price being $250) and even that was about $70 too much.
Not worth the price.

I got a defective product. So disappointed, as I was super excited to start using it. Was on the phone with a nespresso personelle, as I though I was doing something wrong. She walked me through the cleaning process and ultimately told me I got a product with a machine defect. It kept spinning but no water would disperse.
Will order from elsewhere now.
