I’ve had this coffee maker for over two years. The biggest complaint and you probably read it in other reviews is the milk froth is not as spectacular as they sell it. But it’s not bad. It could not be more simple to use. After each use turn turn the frothing knob back to the right so hot water can clean the parts. For all of those complaining about a sour milk smell… Do you know why? Because your milk is sour because you don’t clean the frother after. And yes you have to descale it fairly often but that is with every freaking coffee maker of this type.
I think Nespresso makes a delicious cup of cappuccino and espresso and the lattes are wonderful too. And if you like to be able to do it with minimal work and clean up this is the machine for you.
Also reading some of the other complaints that people have not only with this product but for other products that are highly rated I’m not sure if bad luck follows them, they are hypercritical, or simply prefer to take the glass half empty stance. However if you want a great cup of espresso and espresso drinks that are simple to make and of course less money overall then going to the local coffee shop get this machine

This was a replacement for the first one we ordered that the milk frother stopped working on after a few uses. The second day we requested a replacement from Amazon. The second one arrived and started the same issue of not pulling the milk from the container. We contacted Amazon, which connected us with Nespresso. Nespresso sent a replacement frother which took three days to get out their door and the more for us to receive. Rinsed it, placed it on the machine, and SAME issue. It would take a couple of weeks for them to fix something we have only been able to partially enjoy for two weeks now. We are done with it and returning the second unit.
Nespresso was great from a customer service perspective. The process is very slow with no traceability on order status of the part. We actually purchased a different machine that was packaged with an aerocinno and it had been working very well.

I’ve now tried 3 machines. 1arrived smashed in. The second and third don’t perform as advertised or expected.
Nice looking machine. I had a Latissima Pro previously it was a better made machine.
1- This one is more plastic and
2- milk frother top constantly come off. Very messy when filled. Problem is location of top release button and very insecure latches.
3- Frother unit does not froth very well.
4- Water tank is very flimsy and does not hold much water.
5- makes inconsistently sized cups using the same capsules and same selection.
IT CAN MAKE A DELICIOUS CUP OF WHATEVER CAPSULE YOU SElECT. Just NOT CONSISTENT.

We were kind of worried about buying this since several people had complained about the milk frother not working right etc. But we took the risk (because thats who we are lol) and couldn’t be happier. My only complain is that our coffee consumption has double because there are so many fun options to try. lol
To those who complained about the frother, try this and see if it helps.
After a week or so, it started not creating as thick of a froth, which made me freak out thinking “I knew we shouldn’t have got this!” But then I took one of our thin straw brushes and cleaned all the pipes and parts of the milk compartment and… Wa-Laaaah.. went back to working as new. Ever since then every 3-4 days, I clean them thoroughly and have not had any complains.
Another advise: after every drink, the machine suggests you use the cleanse function. Don’t do that if you are planning to make multiple drinks. Every time you “cleanse,” at the begging of making the next drink, some excess water comes out of the frother that will dilute your drink (not fun). Cleanse at the end before you put the milk compartment back in the fridge.
Last advice: after you take the milk out of the fridge and before you start making your desired drinks, use a spare cup and hit one of the milk options (like hot foam or hot milk) and wait for few seconds. It will start heating up and then dispense hot water for a bit before it starts actually dispensing milk. As soon as it starts dispensing milk, hit the same button (hot foam or hot milk) and it will stop the process. This way, when you start making your desired drink, you will avoid that little excess water entering your amazing cappuccino or latte etc. I know some of you might not care, but this is for those who do. : )

Got this product in November. It worked fine at first…. But the coffee never had the right taste to it. We cleaned it regularly but it always smelled like spoiled milk no matter what. Product then broke. Got on the phone to get it replaced, they told us they’d replace it. A month later we had to call back, they had no recollection of our call and told us they’d promptly replace the product. We got shipping information and got the product a few weeks later. Had no instructions for what to do with the old one and had to call them back to figure out what they wanted us to do with it. They sent us a shipping label and the old product was on its way. Honestly, the coffee never tasted right, and it was too hard to clean no matter how much we cleaned it the product never seemed clean enough. We stopped using it and cleaned all the parts as we were getting ready to sell it but wanted to use our pods before we sold it. It’s a good thing we didn’t, though because we started getting a gnat problem and they always seemed to gravitate towards that machine. I took the head apart that we had already cleaned multiple times and hadn’t used in a while and it was FULL of larvae. Disgusting. We threw the whole product away.
Great concept, but poor taste and too hard to clean completely. There’s better out there. You can invest in an espresso machine and milk frother for about the same price.
