This is a much better/more efficient epilator than the last. I ordered a Panasonic which was more expensive for my first one because I read from one of those paid sponsored sites it was a good. I got used to having to go over the same areas 50 times thinking they must all be like that. I’ve tried the Braun once and now I understand that’s not how epilating is supposed to be! I’m so glad now that my previous epilator spontaneously stopped working because otherwise I would never have known there was a far better and more time efficient product, for less! I actually had the piece on backward for the majority of the first use and noticed that it seemed to snag the skin and subsequently shut itself off more than I am used to but then realized I had it on backwards. Even while using it the wrong way it worked WAY better than my old one. It stays charged for a whole body epilate, which now doesn’t take that long. The charging cable looks similar to the Panasonic charging cable so I am worried it might suffer the same fate Of spontaneously no longer charging/turning on at some point (hope not!). But if it does I’ll be honest I’ll probably order another of the same one right away, it’s great! I also use a hair inhibitor spray now right after which I’m hoping keeps the hair from growing back as the reviews say it does.

I usually get a bikini wax but that not possible with everything closed. Looked for alternative ways to remove my hair and found this. I was pleasantly surprised. Does it hurt a bit? Yes but I got used to it. I also started using it on my legs instead of shaving and that is going well. And bonus, it’s a REAL Braun—my model was Made in Germany so not some junk import.

I spent a lot of time shopping around for cheaper versions but I ended up going with this one because I wanted a good quality epilator and I was scared because I have never used one before. Not going to lie, it HURTS (i didn’t my lower legs) I had to keep pausing and taking deep breaths and also consumed a considerable amount of wine during the process, but i made it throguh and i’m SO glad i did! I used it dry so not sure if using it wet makes a difference in terms of pain but you kind of just have to suck it up and do it. Do it while watching netflix and drinking wine to keep you distracted from the pain. it feels like a bunch of tiny rubber bands are slapping you (but there’s absolutely no pain from the epilator itself, if you put it on a patch of skin with no hair you don’t feel it. all the pain comes from the hair being ripped out) overall, i’m really glad i purchased this and the battery life is very good too!

I’ve heard a lot about epilating and I thought in these brave new days of self care, this would be the perfect time to try it. I’m such a novice in this area but I knew the most important thing I needed was waterproof because adding this to my nighttime routine seemed much easier. So far I’ve only used on my legs and they stay smooth for about 4 days. I’m working up the courage to move to my underarms and bikini. This is still one of the things that I need to find the mental fortitude to perform, but after I start it’s really not that bad! Below are some thoughts and things I learned. – Read the directions posted on the listing page. The printed instructions that came with the device were confusing. There were pictures of the different pieces but no explanation on how or the best ways to use them. – Use the pictures in the written instructions to learn how to clean the device though. -The pain is surprising at first but not bad. Comparable to rubber bands snapping on your skin. At first it was unexpected but I got used to it and had no problems running over the same areas repeatedly. – I used with shaving cream (as the listing suggested) because while the pain wasn’t too bad, my skin is prone to irritation so I wanted to make it as smooth of a pass as possible. The shaving cream might’ve led to me needing to go over the same areas repeatedly but I think it definitely helped keep the irritation at bay. – The wide base covered a lot of area and I liked how quick it was to change out the parts. – Afterwards I used my trusty Amlactin lotion, which smooths the bumps on my arms, to further prevent inflammation. I think it worked because my legs look no different then after shaving but feel so much smoother for longer!
It’s an extra investment in both money and mental strength but it saves me time in the long run. I would hands down recommend this device!
***Update: Still love this thing! I use it about once a week and I actually haven’t had to recharge it yet. I finally got brave enough to do my underarms…ouch! Definitely a lot more sore then the legs but on the plus side pulling out the hairs means it grows back slower or at least at different rates so every subsequent time I’ve done it, it’s hurt less and less simply because there’s less hair. Still highly recommend doing in the shower and now I definitely recommend braving the underarm area!

This is my second epilator so I’ve been passively/occasionally epilating with the first one I purchased for about a year. I’m allergic to a lot of stuff (can’t use wax or shaving cream) so figured this was the best option for me as I go have a high pain tolerance. I did whole body professional laser hair removal before so my hair isn’t horrible but it’s still definitely there. I had NO idea epilating was suppose to be this easy and painless! It does still hurt on my face and upper lip is a pain, but it gets almost all the hair in just a few swipes and is nearly painless to me even on the basic cap (1) on non sensitive areas. I am amazed and regretting I didn’t but this one the first time around.
I hadn’t done my arms before (other than under arms) because epilating was such a pain with a cheaper brand. However, this one was going so well I decided to give it a try and had amazing results with NO pain! I do typically shave with only water because of my sensitive skin and the sensation was very comparable. I only wish I would have found this sooner!
