Not sure what’s happening with all the great reviews on here, but I was very VERY disappointed by this product. When I broke the seal under the cap, the first thing I noticed was the smell of playdough – it did not smell like blueberries by any stretch of the imagination, nor any fruit. Secondly, I was struck by the thick layer of oil at the top of the jar. I decided to try it in the shower anyway.

I stirred my finger around in the jar to try to get the oil to mix with the scrub, and then took some onto my finger to rub into my skin. It felt like I was smearing some kind of thick oil or grease on my body – very gross. It didn’t even work as a scrub, either, as the salt just dissolved in the shower water immediately, leaving only the thick grease. Had to wash my body with soap three more times before I could get the greasy feeling to go away. Even then, as I was shaving, the residual film on my skin was clogging up my razor.

Just a horrible experience overall. Not sure if it was because of the storage conditions in the Amazon warehouse, or because this is just a terrible product.

Despite dieting and exercising and losing weight, I still couldn’t get rid of the pesky cellulite on the back of my thighs so I decided to give this scrub a try. I’ve used it about 3 times a week (basically every time I shower) on the areas of cellulite for 3 weeks now and WOW. My cellulite is practically all gone! There are still a couple small patches of cellulite left, but even those are way smoother than they were before. I’m super impressed. The smell is amazing also, but it doesn’t linger after you’ve washed it off. Awesome product!

I can’t speak for the cellulite claims yet or the dark under eye circles, but I am going to continue using it in problem areas for that purpose. On the other hand I have been using this exfoliant on my face, hands, elbows/knees, legs and feet (be careful in the shower! If you have never used an exfoliant that contains Shea and oils it can be a tad slippery). The smell is amazing and I have found it to be super mostourizing to my skin and rough spots. Overall I am so far satisfied with this product and the price point is nice as well compared to others on the market.

I’m a licensed esthetician and massage therapist. I wanted to give some of my massage clients a little extra something, so I’ve been incorporating a back scrub after their 60+ minute massage.

I first bought the Himalayan Salt Scrub (unscented) Brown Sugar Scrub (smells exactly like brown sugar), the Sweet Orange Scrub (YUM, might be my favorite- smells like pure sweet orange essential oil), the Coconut Milk Body Scrub (smells like coconuts of course), and the Blueberry Scrub (also a favorite contender- smells like a blueberry muffin) to try out, and I immediately fell in love! I tested one on one of my coworkers, and she absolutely loved it! She then tried one on me so I knew what my clients would be feeling (it was heavenly). My coworker wants to get some to use on her clients now.

I have recently purchased more scrubs because I’m a little obsessed (I have not used these on clients yet): British Rose Body Scrub (nice rose scent; this one has the most liquid out of all of them which tells me it won’t be as aggressive as the others), African Black Soap (unscented), Tea Tree Oil Body & Foot Scrub (Definitely smells like tea tree!), and lastly the Watermelon Body Scrub (probably my least favorite one; it smells kind of artificial, but it smells tropical)

Now I wouldn’t recommend these to be used on the face, they are way too aggressive as a salt/sugar scrub. I absolutely love them for the body. I love how gritty they are because you only need a small amount. I like to put them dry on my clients back to increase the intensity— which you could do in the shower if you’re buying them for home use. If – client has more sensitive skin I apply them on damp skin. I then use 2-3 hot towels to remove the scrub and then moisturize their skin! So far all my clients I’ve used them on have thoroughly enjoyed them and some want to purchase their own!

Sad side note: these all (at least the ones I’ve purchased so far) contain almond oil, so sadly I can’t use them on anyone with nut allergies. So, I hope in the future Brooklyn Botany comes out with some nut-free scrubs!

Moisturizing 4/5: They didn’t leave any of my clients dry, but you still would want to moisturize after using.

Scent 4/5: Hard to grade scent since scent is subjective, but I just was not fond of the artificial smelling watermelon scrub, some people may like it. All of the others are amazing though 10/10!

Value 5/5: They seem on the more expensive for a scrub at first, but compared to other scrubs I have used, I need a fraction amount. I use about half a teaspoon per back, which is more than enough. Safe to say these will last me a very long time.

Overall, I would totally recommend these scrubs!

When they arrived I thought the jars were too small to be 10 ounces and I was right. The label says 10 oz but the jar is actually just 6 oz. How? Very disappointed to say the least because it looks like there are some really good ingredients. But if this company is willing to lie about how much product you’re getting, who’s to say they wouldn’t lie about what’s inside.

I’ve been using this product for 3 weeks and have seen a drastic change in my stretch marks. I was pretty skeptical on purchasing it due to the reviews but it’s working great for me. However my stretch marks are pretty fresh. I started using this product about 2.5 months postpartum. I use it everyday with a cellulite massage brush, exfoliating gloves, and an arabica body wash. I think the gloves and cellulite brush help a lot I massage for at least 5 minutes in the shower. For only 3 weeks with these results I’m not disappointed.
Cons: the coffee grounds are a little rough with the cellulite massager I had some micro-cuts. It can also be itchy but it’s not horrible if you do sections at a time. It also doesn’t have the most pleasant scent. It just smells like coffee grounds. Use before shaving.
*First photo is the first day I started using the product, fourth photo is 3 weeks from that date.
I will update with my final results to let you know how long it took for them to fade almost completely.
