I plugged mine into an extension cord, it works fine. It only uses 1 side of the outlet, meaning it does not plug into both ports, only one. So if you do use an extension cord, you’ll only need 1 plug. I use mine mainly for charging USB devices, I cannot speak for the 3 pronged power quality or if the charger heats up when using many 3 prong plugs. This wall charger comes with a safety screw that you can use to securely attach to the wall plug so that it won’t get knocked out of place.
Great for charging USB devices wherever you need, in home, or on a workbench.

This is a really well made product. The only issue I have with it is that it has a single screw in the center to fasten it to the power outlet. But every home I’ve lived in for the past number of years have screws at the top and bottom of the outlet. It’s not a big deal since the reason I bought it is so that I don’t constantly plug/unplug stuff.

Nice, well-made unit that eliminates the need for USB chargers freeing up electrical outlets. I purchased 1 to try and was so pleased I bought 3 more. I’m looking forward to the addition of a USB C plug-in. I highly recommend the wall charger as it eliminates clutter, provides surge protection and adds additional electric plug-ins.

This is a near perfect product… I love the long screw and ability to secure against the electrical outlet. But unfortunately, this item does not fit flat against the wall. If manufacturer recess backplate by 3 – 5mm to create a small cavity, this will allow for flat fitting against the wall and this will be a 5+ Star rated product that I would buy in-bulk for all my rentals… For now will be returning…

After ordering, I realized I can’t screw this in as my receptacles are newer and don’t have the screw hole in the middle. The wall charger itself only plugs into 1 outlet in the wall so it’s not very sturdy. When plugging anything into the sides, I can feel the whole thing move and I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before the prongs break off in the wall receptacle. I don’t recommend this at all.

Product was defective. It had a short circuit and caused the outlet to spark and burn. Outlet had to be replaced.

The main con I have is that it is not sturdy. It can easily fall off the wall.
I love that it takes usbs as it seems to be a common thing when you buy electronics that they no longer come with the plug for the wall just the usb. This has spots just for those.
However, I mainly just use it for the xbox, ps5, radio and tv to be plugged into one spot. I now no longer unplug something just to use something. Which was quite annoying. Our room was limited with plug ins.

This surge protector and wall charger is very useful . I like it can use the usb-c and usb to charge multiple things at one time. Being able to plug in multiple electric plugs without worrying about space is very convenient and firm especially when you have multiple big plugs that need to be plugged in. I purchased this because it had the usb-c charging. The only thing I would like to change about this item is I wish it had two usb-c outlets instead of one.

It’s not the companies fault as products made like this always will have a dud here and there, unfortunately I am that lucky and got the one with a usb issue. Unfortunately the usb-c didn’t work for my fine for some reason but over all the other outlets performed fine! I have newer plugs in my house and don’t have a centre screw but it still held on despite the plug in out let is on the bottom rather than the top for stability.
It’s quite bulky so consider that if you are ordering this for a tight space, otherwise this charger would be just great!

with all the outlets generously spaced out, I can easily plug and unplug any one of the appliance. USB and C sockets are also handy for charging phones and tablets.
A great device to convert a wall socket into a multi-socket hub and charging station.

I’m happy with this purchase. It works as advertised. Some of the outlet holes are tight, but that’s much better than loose. If I could improve this extender, I would add space at the back so that wall plates / outlets would fit into the back of the extender allowing the extender to fit snug to the wall. Currently there is a gap between the extender and the wall due to the outlet / wall plate. The other change I would make is to have the extender plug into both wall outlets as the one outlet and screw do not provide enough stability when plugging cords into the sides of the extender requiring one to hold the extender steady while plugging in cords.

I liked this wall expander more since it also has the ability to screw into the wall with the plate already on. I was worried it would wiggle around but since I can screw this one into the wall its a lot nicer for more. Outlets are a bit snug as I had to force a bit more than usual but the outlets in my walls are also almost as old as me so.

It is a very feature enriched adapter for some people. Unfortunately I have those square outlets in my house and they don’t have a center screw in the outlet. Also this adapter only has one set of electrical prongs on the back, so it only is plugged into one of the outlets. I can’t add the center screw, and it seems a little wobbly. I’ll live with it, but probably wouldn’t have purchased if I’d realized I had no center screw hole on my outlets, and it only has one set of electrical plugs. Other then that it’s well made. Good luck
