This is an affordable and effective vacuum cleaner. I really like the ease of use, both attaching and removing additional implements. It’s obviously not as strong as my corded vacuum but it’s so nice not having to work around a cord, unplugging and re-plugging in every room. I use this vacuum EVERY day and have had no negative issues with it.
Prior to purchasing, I read a lot of the other reviews and the one that got my attention was the unavailability of a second battery. Therefore prior to purchasing I did a bit of research and was able to find an aftermarket battery…which surprisingly seems to hold a charge a bit longer that the original one. The aftermarket battery is part # 17475000018253 which can be purchase from ENCOMPASS SUPPLY CHAIN SOLUTIONS for $86.36 plus tax and shipping.
I also purchase this unit because it can be wall mounted for out of the way storage. The ONLY negative issue is that the battery must be attached to the vacuum to be charged. It would be nice to have a separate charging unit so the extra battery can be charged while using the vacuum. I mostly use the vacuum on “high” and “carpet” setting. The battery usually lasts about 20 minutes in this mode.

We got a GSD pup and so much dog hair I was afraid to buy a vacuum so used Swiffer dusters on hardwood and rolled up area rugs till she grew up. Looked at the cordless vacs for $700+ and all looked same. Also, look at HEPA filters needed. Not only is this vacuum so reasonable in price but lightweight; pulls up loads of dog hair (easy to dump); easy to turn over and clean brushes without removing for area rugs and HEPA filter replacement not needed. I can vacuum half my house without having to charge. For sure I’d buy it again.

This vacuum is disappointing. I have an Eureka vacuum for ten years and it still works well. But I thought it’s time to have a cordless one and Eureka was the brand in my mind. However, this new vacuum didn’t work as well as the old one. It didn’t pick up the dog hair effectively. Dog hair remains on the carpet no matter how hard I tried. And you also got dog hair stuck in the power head. You have to manually remove it. So I had to return it. I then purchased a Shark cordless vacuum. It’s $100 more expensive than the Eureka vacuum, but it’s worth the money. The Shark has a much stronger suction power, and you don’t need to vacuum the same spot over and over again. Overall, not a good purchase. I recommend you look for other brands above $300. You may buy when they are on sales. They’ll be about the same price as this Eureka vacuum price then.

Too soon to review product performance, so far the product seems to working fine. I have owned Eureka Vacuums in the past and decided to replace the Quick-Up model, which is no longer available. what I find annoying w/ this vacuum is the manufacturer does not offer a power charging dock, once the battery has been charged one has this dangling power cord inlet to deal with which I find storing the unit can be problematic and a definite flaw in the product.
Shopper beware!! Eureka Elevate series 480: after a couple of weeks, the vacuum would shut down every couple of minutes, so I arrange to return the item. I disassembled the vacuum and found the possible problem, especially with long hair pets, the roller was restricted due to excessive pet hair and/or the filters, cleaned both roller and filters and the vacuum appears to be working fine? I wanted to order spare replacement filters and accessories and contacted Eureka representative only to find filters and accessories are not available?

8 mins of vacuuming my living room carpet-Battery is dead(charged since yesterday when it died) while vacuuming for about the same amount of time & the little tank barely has anything in it. No real suction for decent pile carpet. My other Vacs would pull out half full tanks of carpet fuzz & debris etc after vacuuming. Not a true carpet vac, works for surface debris, lite in between cleaning but not recommended for regular use especially with pets & kids.
Works well for hard surfaces not recommended for household vac with decent pile carpet.
It will not self stand.

So I got this cordless vacuum so that I would not have to take out my big Dyson out! Saw a video and it looked good. When I tried it, for some reason the brush seems like its rolling on rocks. There are rumbles every time I clean. The hair gets stuck on the edges and I have to manually remove it from the brush side?? Doesn’t have much function and the battery dies after 20 minutes at FULL CHARGE!!!!! Its not quiet at all either. BIG MISTAKE. I have a small cordless Dyson and I have replaced the battery that only cost me about 30 or so dollars. PEOPLE DON’T BUY THIS.

I ordered this item one week ago and it arrived looking perfectly normal. It arrived w/o any charge in the battery, so I plugged her in and let her charge overnight. In the morning, the battery level indicated a full charge, so I unplugged and began vacuuming our hardwood floors. At first everything seemed normal, but that lasted only 15 seconds, when the vacuum turned off. Weird. Turned it back on, battery level still indicating full, and again, turned off after 15 seconds of run time. Again and again, selecting both modes to make sure we were not doing anything wrong. Tried recharging the fully-charged battery but there was no solution. 15 seconds is all we could get out of this thing! I returned at our local Kohls the next day and received a second unit the day after, which was nice to get such a quick replacement. However, the box was very badly damaged and upon opening, it was obvious that this had been roughly repackaged and previously used. My wife tried charging the unit just to see if we could use it once before returning, but this unit would not even register that it was plugged in and starting to charge. This is definitely one item that I will never purchase again, and I will likely stay away from Eureka from now on. What a piece of crap. Very surprised based on all of the 5-star reviews. Extremely disappointed. Be cautions! Shame on you, Eureka
