well after reading more than a few reviews, the one that struck home was the one that explained why they set it up the way they did. in the review i read the writer said they put a mifi near the inside antenna and they ran off the mifi, well it worked like a dream, it is a little more setup but when my wife the teacher can spend the day on a zoom call and did not have any issues with speed or lag or screen freeze. So if you are a person who is on the road, and you have a mifi or hotspot, this device, will rock their socks off. i even looked at Youtube video’s and none of the presenter mention the distance from the inside antenna to cell phone, it is within 24 inches, but the mifi or hotspot work great.

This Booster helps quite a bit when I barely have a signal in my RV. If I have 1 bar of at&t without it will increase to 3~4 bars with this. If I have 3 bars without it won’t increase noticeably. This works best when your device is within 4 feet of the inside antenna. I docked it 1 star because a 12v power cord is not included. It doesn’t make sense to me to market a product for RV use and provide only 110v power cord. The 12v cord is sold separately.

I ordered this product because i understood the limitations based on the reviews and still it appeared to be the best product out there for remote work in my RV. Sometimes we boondock and in my high tech job i need to remain connected.

I ordered the product on March 2, 2021 today is July 20, 2021 and it is still not working. please read on.

On the first trip with this product it didn’t perfom. i had a signal to use my cell to call their customer support whom seemed very responsive. I am in high tech and an exec of a software company so kind of understand this stuff and can recognize a great support organization. I told them I appreciated their responsiveness and professionalism. even wrote a review. The agent said that through process of elimination that one or both of the antenna’s (outdoor and indoor) was faulty and they would send out two new antennas first to see if that solves the problem.

I waited and waited. I out the outdoor one finally and called and asked where the other one was. they saw that was odd that it didn’t ship and when they checked they told me that orders take precedence over parts!!! They said they would send the indoor one. didn’t arrive. Called in I believe mid-June and they said it was backlogged. they said it would take longer to issue a RA to get a whole new product and assured me that the product would ship by JULY 9.

Today is July 20 and I called support. They said it didn’t ship, new orders overrule existing customer issues and said they would take it up one level and give me an answer by the end of this day but there are no guarantees when I will get the product.

I now let them know my dissatisfaction with this St George Utah company. I even offered to have an employee of mine in that town offer to go over and pick it up. I verified that manufacturing and distribution was there but I would have to wait and they would give me a new ETA by the end of the day.

I have now reached out in LinkedIn to speak to the President.

I did inform support that the complaining from me will start now and the damage of bad experiences far outweighs taking care of your customers.

HERE IS WHAT GETS ME. I could order another one from Amazon. Get it today and ship Amazon back this non-functioning unit but i don’t support that kind of behavior so I won’t. Coming up on five months after spending $500 I have nothing to show for it. I have been cordial and polite and so has their staff. it is their policy that is in need of tuning

Takeaway. Understand that if you have a problem their customer support is well trained to fix nothing at all.

Consider other options outside of this company.

I will take this message out on other media platforms and will speak with their leadership. This is aweful.

While I am sure some of you reading this also work from home, not all of you will also have an RV where you can get away from the city to camp once in a while. We have been RVings for a few years and found that camping earlier in the week is less crowded in most state parks near where we live in Texas. Having the ability to get online and make phone calls for work is essential for both of us, so when we found ourselves in Durango, CO last summer and could not get a cell signal, we had to leave early.

Doing some research, I found a few products on the market, but really only recently discovered the model we bought, the Weboost Drive Reach RV. Just like you who are reading this we read reviews and finally decided to try it out, even though the price was not exactly a selling feature.

First off, there are 3 components to this setup. External antenna to gran what signal it can, the booster or processor inside and the smaller interior antenna to broadcast the boosted signal inside the RV. All the material (and it is not very extensive from an install an support stand point, IMO) talked about attaching the external antenna to your rear ladder. Well now, the only problem there is we don’t have a ladder on our Class C RV.

Thankfully, we did have one of those fiberglass extension poles for painting a high ceiling that extended from 8′ to 23′. I managed to attach the mounting hardware to the end of the pole, extended it to a little over 14′, a little higher than our roof and securely bungee corded it to one of my rear view mirror arms. Then you run the included 25′ cable in through the window, drape it across the dinette and attached it to the transformer, power it up and connected the smaller antenna on the kitchen counter. They recommend as much separation, both horizontal and vertical as you can get.

Powered it all on and was glad to see the indicator light glowed green. Our AT&T hotspot was only showing a single bar meaning we could not both get online to work, do WebEx calls, stream HBO on the TV at the same time. I took a step towards the internal antenna and saw I now had two bars. A little closer to the antenna and low and behold I had 3! Just leaning the phone up against the counter top, next to the antenna and we went from 3-4 bars and were able to connect two laptops, two phones and our smart TV to the hotspot wi-fi signal.
Bottom line, this thing worked exactly as promised.

I would think you have to have at least a single bar to be able to get a boost. It will not create a cell signal if you are in a cave or the bottom of a canyon most likely. Was it worth 500 hundred dollars? Well, if we can continue to camp and work remotely and stay online, then unequivocally yes.
