I got this as a birthday gift for my granddaughter who is obsessed with clocks. She was very excited, but it was just way too much. Too loud; the lights are WAY TOO bright – like damage your eyes kind of bright. The batteries cavity wasn’t easy to open and close. I returned this and bought something much lower key. Would not recommend for children of any age. (Though the concept is good.)

I purchased this clock for my 3 year old. She loves it. Two days later, and we’ve had to replace the batteries TWICE; changing 3 AA batteries every day. I contacted the company and received no response. Not worth it.

The unit I received is off by one hour. For example, if the clock asks you to find 3:10 and you turn the hands to 3:10, it will say you got it wrong until you turn the hands to 4:10 ultimately teaching your child how to tell time wrong. Sending back.

Final edit: I’m changing this to 1 star. We bought this for Christmas, and by mid March the music doesn’t even play. I’m so upset, my son was so excited for this toy (as was I), and the fact that this lasted 4 months really makes me mad.

Editing to add: my son has been using this non-stop since he got it for Christmas and the batteries died fairly quickly. It takes 3 AA batteries and, with keeping the light on at night so he sees when it’s time to wake up, and randomly playing with it throughout the day, the batteries lasted about 20 days.

Our 3 year old is absolutely freaking out over this toy. It has a lot of numbers so he’s easily able to figure out what the hands mean, and the dancing function is a huge hit. He loves that the lights will change colors when he can get up in the morning to the point where he insists it’s in his room at night.
I was very excited to get this for my time-obsessed toddler, and it did not disappoint. From the moment he opened it on Christmas this has been a huge hit. It seems very durable, despite a 3 year and 1 year old pawing it constantly.

Edited: My 3 year old uses this every day, and is still super obsessed and stoked, but the batteries die so fast it’s ridiculous. To be fair, he leaves it on all night so he can see the wake up light, but if that’s a regular feature of the clock it should be using a LOT less power to do so.
When the batteries start to die we’ve noticed a pattern: first the clock will only say it’s time to celebrate, then the face that shows you the time will dim, and the blue/green lights on the ears will dim significantly. I’m still excited that we got this toy for him, but the battery usage on this toy is definitely a big bummer.

Burns through batteries very quickly. Light is EXTREMELY bright for a night light. We put painters tape over the lights to dim them. Screw is EXTREMELY small. Would be nice if the lights were dimmer (or adjustable on brightness) and there was a power cord option … maybe a simple mini USB power input. Use a larger screw for the battery compartment. Really hard for larger daddy fingers to put the teeny screw back in the tiny hole.

I’ve had this clock for one month now. I like the educational aspect of it, but dislike that only the long hand is moveable. Not a huge deal, but that does make it harder for my 3 year old to match the time when playing the games. Also I was really excited about the built in ok to wake nightlight feature. We have used that feature for every nap time and night time for the last month. It’s made a huge difference with my daughter staying quiet and in bed until it’s time for her to get up. HOWEVER…..even with using rechargable batteries I am having to replace them daily! When we first got the clock the batteries lasted about a week, but now the clock seems to die much faster. The OK to wake feature no longer works because within a couple hours of putting fresh batteries in, the clock is at such a low power level that the digital clock display disappears and thus the light never changes colors because it’s not registering the time. This is a huge issue right now because my daughter is so used to her light turning green when it’s time to wake up! I’m really thoroughly disappointed with the lifespan of this clock!!!!!!

Very good telling time toy. However, only the minute hand can be turned in interval of 5 mins.
Other than this. All good. The minute hand can be turn in both directions. Has a built in clock as well that will announed the time when pressed. Volume is loud enough and has different volumn level. Able to work as night light too but the light is blue. Has tell time game as well to motivate kid to adjust to the right time prompted by the toy.

Tock is pretty cute. It keeps track of the current time, and has various modes to help teach kids how to read a clock. If you move the hour hand, Tock will announce what time you land on. It also plays some short music/sound clips. It’s enough to give your kid a giggle and maybe dance around for a few seconds. Tock features a light alarm that will let your kid know it’s okay to get out of bed.

Setting the clock up is pretty straight forward. You press and hold the hour button until it blinks and then adjust the hours and minutes like any other clock. To set the “ok to wake” alarm, you press and hold the alarm button on the back and then adjust the hours and minutes the same you did to set the clock.

The plastic feels a bit cheap, but I still think it’s durable. Pretty comparable to other cheap toys. It has enough features to keep my kid interested and they love spinning the clock hands and hearing Tock announce the time. It’s a cute toy and works great as a learning resource. I think they did a good job keeping it fun and educational at the same time.

It’s nice but I don’t think there is an on/off switch.
