The physical product is quite nice. I love the color and material of the board, cards, and weapon pieces. What I don’t like is how limited the gameplay is. You only have to find the one and only character that always tells lies. You can go looking for the murder weapon, but that’s irrelevant to solving the case. It would be far better if there were either more lying characters (for reasons other than murder, such as cheating spouse or whatever), and maybe a requirement to find the correct weapon. The good news is the Alexa Skill can be updated without any modification to the physical game, so there’s hope for improvement.
Note to the creators: take notes from the game 221B Baker Street. Their scenarios are more involved, and the voice acting would really make for a fully immersive experience.

Great Packaging. Easy and Fun to Play. The AI software doesnt utilize Alexa’s voice, but instead uses different voice and mannerism Dynamics for each unique character. You don’t need an Alexa Home Speaker to play game. You can download the Alexa App on your phone. So fun! Has 2500 different combinations of events and talk tracks. Always a new, mysterious murder to solve. 2 thumbs up 👍👍

My kids (11,13,15) all had fun with this game, you do need to use it with Alexa, the cards are quality made, the art deco style is fun, so far in our 4 rounds of playing I haven’t heard anything explicit or make me worried. If my kids were around the ages of 8 I would still let them play this. It does take a few rounds to get the hang of it, I do recommend playing the tutorial version from the start. I gave it a 4 only because I feel like there’s more wasted packaging than was necessary. Yeah I’m one of those earth freaks.

The game build quality is top notch. The games content is very BORING. It’s essentially Clue, but Alexa’s long pauses and half understood questions make it pretty unbearable. I expected some actual fun AI element, but all Alexa is doing is reading character and action cards that would otherwise be shuffled, drawn, and read at random. It really is a missed step.
If you guys really want to do something different make a board game that incorporates the players Amazon account purchases and movie watch preferences with some kind of gaming token code that you generate from the Amazon app. At least then it would actually seem engaging.

I bought this thinking it would be a more involved game of clue. I guess I expected this to be like a “Choose your own adventure book”, where the story changed and the characters changed. So I bought Clue as well and played it with the kids to get them ready for this. But this is the dumbest game ever created. It involves no logic, just guessing until you stumble on the killer or run out of time. The game is exactly the same every time you play. The same person is murdered and you have seven “days” to figure it out. By the third round we didn’t even need to listen to Alexa give her long winded descriptions of the players because we’d already heard them 3 times. They never change. We just interrupted her and asked our question. Of which there are two. “Where were you the night of the crime” and “did you see anyone that night”. There is no challenge. And everyone plays the game as a group, which means that unless you appoint a person to ask the questions, everyone talks at once and confuses Alexa. One game shut down in the middle and crashed Alexa, we had to shut her down twice and reboot her to start all over again. Try telling kids they can’t ask Alexa questions, it’s not their turn. They were bored and frustrated. This game isn’t even in the same league as Clue. We played one night, and went back to Clue. And yes, the packaging is incredible and the graphics are slick and the board is beautiful, but the metallic on black elements make it impossible to read if the light hits a certain way and the text is so tiny and the whole thing is dark on dark. We’re returning this for a refund.

Great packaging and presentation, Very intriguing game!! I’ve played it a couple of times so far and it’s very cool. Maybe I’ll read the instructions before I have friends over for a game night, so far I’ve faired well without it though. I solved one on “night 2”.
I got the Alexa for this game, it’s actually very fun and looking forward to playing with a group.

I HATE to say it but I feel I must. Good quality board, cards, and box, but leaves much to be desired. Extremely underwhelming. Not worth the money.

St. Noire will take you beyond your typical board game night. The game play was a good amount of time (around 20-30 minutes) so we got in several rounds with friends on board game night. Since the game works with Alexa there are countless whodunit mysteries to solve. One of the most impressive things about the game is the use of voice actors, so instead of Alexa’s voice, scenarios feature real actors, ambient scene sounds. The production quality of the sound was fantastic – the high quality of the box, board and cards was stunning and elevated the overall experience. St. Noire is a top choice for game nights with friends and keeps people guessing. Looking forward to more game nights and murder-mystery fun with St. Noire.
