Was a little concerned when we opened the box. Like so many Black and Decker products, it looked a bit on the cheap side, very lightweight. BUT when we put it to use, we realized the light weight meant we could hang it with confidence on just about anything. We hung it on our back deck. We went from killing 4-5 flies a day in our kitchen (which opens onto the deck) to none! We can use our deck again. We keep it on day and night. The flies are almost completely gone, mosquitoes seem to be gone as well. It has even zapped some pesky bees. It has helped with the gnats, but not completely. Definitely worth the purchase and we’re thinking about getting another for our pool area (we have a large yard).

The zapper is on my front porch hidden behind a plant, but the bugs find it instead of me. It is lightweight and easy to set up.

I bought this because I can’t use my patio due to the mosquitoes. After having this on my patio table for about 48 hours I decided to get the brush and clean the coils. Before doing that, I took off the bottom. The photo shows what was in the tray before I did any cleaning. I have a beautiful triple-trunk birch tree which I love. I didn’t realize we had a Japanese Beetle problem until I saw this. I an so thankful I bought this!

Me gustó el diseño, es “bonito” lo que permite integrarse con la decoración que tengas, funciona muy bien y cuando los insectos entran no hace tanto ruido como algunas otras resistencias que he probado, ademas al ser de color negro tambien ayuda a disimular los insectos que ya está adentro.

We have a private camp property. We’re near a cottage’y area, but our property is a bit set apart from there others, where there is not much other light nearby. So when we have a light on at night, inside or out, every bug within a couple acres is on it like white on rice! Certain times of the year this is really problematic, as we couldn’t even get into our camper at night without bringing a couple dozen flying friends in with us. We purchased this bug zapper because of the good reviews, and that it is an outdoor unit. The instructions say it can withstand most outdoor conditions, and only needs to be brought in during torrential rains. The instructions also explain to set it up away from where people congregate, to draw the bugs away from that area. So we added a shepherd’s hook to our electric box area, and plugged it in and hung it up there, away from our outdoor sitting area and camper doors. As soon as we plugged it in, ZAP. And the ZAPS just kept on coming! One issue we did have is after the first night, the lightbulb was complete PLASTERED with SO MANY BUGS. This is good, but also bad, in that they’re supposed to fall to the ground (we removed the bottom tray). So we used the brush the light came with to clear the bulb. But we certainly didn’t want to have to do that every day. After a few nights of use, the bugs started sticking less, and dropping more. Perhaps the bulb just needs a little bit of wear-and-tear for the bug corpses to fall off more easily. So we are very happy with this bug zapper, and really hope it will have good longevity in causing mass bug murder at our camp property for much time to come.

Man I just got this bug zapper, and it really works. We live by a river, and the mosquitoes are terrible, but I’m sure that this will do the job just fine, because it has zapped a lot of them so far. This item is a must if you like staying outdoors a lot. I can’t stand the smell of bug spray, and them tiki torches don’t work for me at all, so this was my last hope to be able to set outside again without getting eaten alive by those pesky bugs.

Living on a ranch in South Texas, we have a ton of bugs around most of the year. I purchased a smaller on last year and the bulb burnt out so I picked this one up. The holes for bugs to get through are bigger allowing larger bugs to reach the zapper. After one night I had to clean the wires as it killed so many last night. Can’t really speak to durability as it’s been up less than 24 hours.

Purchased this product to reduce the number of insects coming in from my screen door. Its been in use for 1 week, so far it has eliminated my flying insect problems during the evening hours. I place it appropriately 15ft away from the sliding door. Im very happy with this product!!👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Llevo un mes desde que lo tengo y lo uso a diario y acabo con un enjambre de zancudos que tenia a un lado de la entrada de mi casa, cabe recalcar que no todos los bichos se sienten atraído a el y caen pero si ha menguado bastante el tamaño del enjambre, casi a desaparecerlo.
La lampara también es bonita y combina bien con la fachada de la entrada, así que por mientras estoy completamente satisfecho, cualquier cosa que le salga se los haré saber
