Amazing TV! My choice was between the A95K and the 83″ A90J…no regrets with the A95K although this baby in an 83″ would be INSANE. Getting this baby professional calibrated soon, but out of the box in Custom picture mode with some additional settings turned off provides an exceptional picture (very close to a professional calibration). I’m getting it calibrated to enhance shadow detail and blues (early reviews are showing blue tones need calibrating.)
One thing that is surfacing in early reviews is the screen when off looks dark grey and not black. It is true; however, when you start watching TV you don’t notice it and blacks are comparable if not identical to WOLED. Don’t let this distract you from purchasing.
The only negative I have and hopefully they will correct on the next update if possible…for a few over the air channels it can take 5-7 seconds for a channel to load. My old LG E8 never and still does not have this problem, so it is a little frustrating. It will become more frustrating when college football gets here and I am channel flipping.
If you want the best picture money can buy, this is the TV for you. Enjoy!

Excellent TV!!!! Love it. Got mine yesterday but already in love with it. Such brilliant picture quality,Thanks Sony.I have always been a SONY lover and I have A80j&A9G but this one totally blew my mind. Another level of experience when playing games on ps5 everything is so detailed and immensely visible

Absolute perfection. Color accuracy is reference level quality, with saturation not dulling even when screen luminance is reaching peak. There are colors this screen can produce that you have never seen on any before! The picture can get very bright, possibly one of the brightest and you’ll want to lower it down to watch comfortably for long durations. Let me repeat, this is as close as having a Hollywood reference monitor in your home for daily viewing. The sound quality coming from the Acoustic Surface+ is so good, you’ll forget a sound bar is needed. Hook this up to a top-line AVR and surrounds and you’ll be in theater heaven. Build and design is top-notch. This has got to be the best Sony has ever produced and easily the King of TVs.

pricey but great picture, clarity, colors. Looks great when paired with ps5, VRR. Sound is good, however with a tv like this, best with a good soundbar, I have it paired with the Sony HT-9 speakers for spatial. Sony need to release update for the camera – gesture control to work.

The quality of the Sony A95K is incredible! I chose this TV to replace a Samsung TV I purchased in 2014 as a black-Friday sale. The major improvement in picture quality is phenomenal – I had no idea what I was missing out on. Seeing HDR and Dolby Vision content on this TV is an absolute treat. I have yet to identify any faults with the A95K – everything from the build quality to the picture quality is perfection.
I’m also a fan of the built-in ‘center speaker’ option/connection. The A95K has replaced my prior center speaker in my 5.1.2 audio setup. After a quick audio-calibration, it blends in with the other speakers seamlessly. I’m sure that not everyone will use this feature, but I find it very useful and am very happy Sony included it!
I love the look with the stand placed behind the TV (called front position style). This position helps facilitate a minimalist design – now I just need to retire the PSVR and Wii U so that I can get rid of the camera and sensor bar currently placed above the TV.
Overall, I couldn’t be any happier than I am with the Sony A95K! I can tell this will be a TV that I will enjoy for a very long time.

Highly recommend this tv, the picture quality is top notch. The auto HDR feature that comes when paired with a PS5 works well. The only con that I can think of with this comes down to setting up VRR with the PS5. You have to dig deep into the option menu to setup VRR, basically for ever HDMI port on the tv you have to pick how the tv works with the HDMI port. For example you have to go into tbe menu settings for HDMI port 4 and pick setup for gaming for the PS5 to see that port as VRR ready. I wish it would just setup automatically. But once you have it setup everything works smoothly.

See pictures. Does not come off with a microfiber cloth. Clearly a defect. Just delivered today so will see what happens.

The colors are realistic and vibrant not overwhelming. The shades of black are sharp and not washed out black like some televisions. The two guys from the Geek Squad did a clean and professional installation. They were able to reuse my old tv bracket.
