The plate heats up very fast. I’ve only used for simple cooking, such as eggs so I am excited to use for a main dish. I’ll provide an update as to how well it holds up, but I’m pretty satisfied with my purchase.
Update 12/21/18: I have since used the hotplate for many dishes with zero issues. It heats up quickly and maintains temp; keep in mind so as not to overcook or burn your meal. This remains a great alternative to a stove burner. It was worth the purchase.

This is the perfect kitchen addition for days when you don’t want all the added heat from the stove. Also great for a dorm or office. It heats up fast and works great for anything you’d cook on the stovetop (in a small pan). I just used it for hard boiled eggs and they came out perfectly. I always trying to have a hot plate in winter. So, I can have hot pot at home with my family. The price is reasonable, around 50 bucks I can only have a dinner outside restaurant. This hot plate has two plate. It is very convenience because when I cooked hot pot, I can use another one to make soup or other foods. Moreover, it is easy to control the degree of heating. The highest is 8. And when you turn on the electric, there is a light on. So, it makes safer to use.

Typing this on my phone, so please excuse me if there are any spelling errors. Now to the product. The place I am currently in doesn’t have a proper kitchen, but I still like to cook from time to time. Ever since I got these stoves, I was able to cook more often. I can easily heat up veggies and things will boil up just as quickly as a traditional stove. I especially find the two stoves design convenient, since I can cook both pasta and sauce at the same time. I’ve been using it everyday for about a month now and so far I haven’t experience any problem with it yet. I will come to update my review later when I have it for a longer period.

I use it when camping to boil water and cook. It gets very hot. And it holds heat for a while. It seems to be high quality and sturdy. There is a little weight to it. I looked at the 20 dollar burners and they were cheap feeling and not sturdy. This one was around 30 bucks and is worth the extra money I spent. It sets on four legs but the base gets pretty hot. (It’s and electric burner, duh.) so I usually put a metal cookie sheet below it if I use it on my counter top. I would rather use this electric burner than my little propane stove and it uses the campgrounds electricity instead of me buying propane. It gets hot enough to pan sear steaks.

I got this electric hot plate after trying few 10-20$ coil based electric stoves. This one worked very good.
Very easy to unpack. No assembly required. Nothing big. Light weight to lift and to carry anywhere. Heading plate came covered with a sticker. As per the instructions removed it before switching it on.
It has a on-off switch. Even in on position only when the temperature is set, the plate will start heating. As mentioned in the manual, during the first few minutes of heating, saw some vapour coming from sides. But vapour didn’t appear when we used this next time.
Plate got hot within 2-3 minutes. When in use, not only the plate, the stove top and sides were also showing some heat. Only the on-off and temperature control switches were not hot. But that’s ok for us.
It takes some 15-20 minutes to cool down completely.
We used this stove multiple times in a trip. It worked out really well for us.

I’ve been using this product as my main cooking source for nearly 9 months and it’s a champion! It may take a little longer than other burners to heat up BUT for the money you really can’t expect turbo heating can you? Once heated the cook tops do a great job at any of my needs. I bought a TERRIBLE Samsung gas range that has forced me into using this product for the past year as I go through legal channels to get them to do the right thing after destroying my product via incompetent authorized Samsung servicing with multiple technicians (save yourself a lot of grief and don’t buy Samsung gas cooking ranges!). This burner has been a Godsend – read instructions and enjoy it’s a great one!

I got this hot plate to replace the old fashion portable propane stove. It heats up quick. High quality. Very energy cost effective comparing to the cost of propane can. Easy to clean. Perfect for shabu shabu. It is also lightweight and compact which I can take for road trip easily. Highly recommended.
