I am with Panasonic shaver for more than 12 years and I got this one as the latest technology. Still, I don’t understand what is the difference between 3 blades and 5 blades. To me, there isn’t any different and they are only advertising to sell to people. I believe, 3 blades is more comfortable and affordable. Especially, when you want to shave around your mustache 5 blades can’t do as well as 3 blades. I am gonna use this product more and I’ll update for sure later.

I received my ESLV 67 (Brand new) ARC 5 two days ago and it did not work. When turned on the motor made two different sounds
And did not shave anything. Very very disappointed. This is the 2nd Panasonic razor I have purchased and the motor also did not work or shave, been a customer of Panasonic before these last 2n-urchases. They need to have much better quality control.
At this point would not recommend Panasonic electric shavers because lack 0f any quality control at their factories.

I bought the product expecting a really good shave to remove everything from my face and chest.
I used to have a $35.00 Philips one and works very good but didn’t remove everything like I want so I thought buying this after see the advertising and the price almost $250.00 will be a really good one but it is fake advertising! Don’t spend your money on this, it doesn’t work.
I threw $ 250 in the trash. Very disappointed.
I know is not the seller fault but can someone contact me to try to return this?
And I think you guys should stop selling this product.
    Thanks

I started shaving with a Norelco then moved to Braun 7 series. The Braun started to go and I needed a new razor. Online research showed me a razor I’ve never heard of. The Panasonic Arc5. And they were right. It does beat Braun. I’m an everyday shaver and this gives a blade equal or better close shave with no irratation or missed spots. The Braun always struggled on my neck. Missing hairs. It’s cleaning system is also better. I love how it really dries the razor. In summary, for everyday shaving, it definitely is much better than my old Braun. Close, comfortable shave. Easy to clean. Comfortable to hold and use.

Bought 11/7/2019, that is, about 6 weeks ago. 4 days ago, the shaver stopped charging. There is no support from Amazon, no support from Panasonic (their telephone service does not support shavers). Although the shaver is supposedly under 2-year warranty, it has proved impossible to submit a repair request through the website, because although they sell the product they tell me they do not recognize the product model number ES-LV97-K and I am unable to submit a request to repair it. This cost me $250. It was a birthday gift for my husband. DO NOT BUY DO NOT BUY DO NOT BUY. He is now without a shaver. The most appalling customer service I have ever encountered.

in short, I am glad I bought Panasonic LV67.
my old Braun Series 5 shaver is far less clean shave than Panasonic LV67 can do.
Braun Series 5 shaver sometimes burns skin,This Panasonic LV67 won’t.
I believe the floating blade system is the key to the “not burn skin” effect.
I buy this product becasue someone highly recommend the Panasonic LV series, he said all Panasonic non-LV series are garbage compare to LV series
I think this commend is correct, because I have one Panasonic non-LV series shaver long time ago, and it’s only a slightly better than Braun Series 5 shaver, which I won’t recommend.

EDIT (6-Month Update): Save your money … This shaver kept getting slower and slower after each week of use and it’s so painful to use now. I’ve been washing the blades with warm water and soap after each use and oiled the blades when dry. But this thing didn’t even last 6 months. For the price, it’s definitely not worth it. I think Panasonic needs to go back to basics instead of adding more average quality blades. Very disappointed

EDIT (1-Month Update): Shaver’s been doing great shave after shave. I can now confirm it shaves twice as fast the Panasonic 3 blade shaver that I had before. Very close shave. Something I forgot to say is that these shavers usually shave much better dry so beware. Having said that, dry shave (at least for me) causes some minor irritations because I have a very sensitive skin. Although I can tough it out, I would appreciate more comfort with their next model. Until then, I will run this one to the ground! 8/10

Original Review: Much better than my $50 Panasonic shaver which was already okay. This one shaves twice as fast though. Clean shaven, easily cleaned. So far so good!

I’ve given this thing about 4-5 tries to see if there’s a trick to getting it to cut efficiently, but it just doesn’t handle my coarse hair well, and it doesn’t seem to matter how short my hair is. It requires a lot of pressure and passing over the same spots over and over again. The only spots it seems to handle well are my cheeks where my beard is lightest and even that requires a few passes. Think I’m just going to steer clear of these foil shavers from now on.

The only things that work very well on this entire setup are the auto clean and dry (which I think takes longer than it should) and the little snap out precision trimmer. That mini trimmer actually shaves beards better than the foils. And that is not worth $250+. My $70 Wahl 5-Star Senior with the right clip serves my needs far better for way less when it comes to trimming my beard down just right, and will likely outlast this junk by years with far less maintenance. For everything else like clean shaves, I have my Merkur FUTUR with Feather razors. Also cheaper and no maintenance. This Arc 5 was a giant waste of money.

Fastest, closest, and most comfortable shave combination ever. Cremo is a great to use with electrics, if you wet shave, as I do (https://www.amazon.ca/Cremo-Cooling-smooth-shaving-fights/dp/B087DZPX74/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=Cremo&qid=1607979941&sr=8-2). Thus, you don’t have to worry about applying cream more than once. Instead, you just apply more water. Which you do, anyway, by occasionally rinsing the head off. Give it a try!

I’ve been using it for one month now and really love it. I gave it a full charge since then and only charged it once once the battery was around 40%, so I think the battery life claims are accurate.

I previously had an electric rotary shaver which put me off electric shavers due to the irritation it gave me, but this Panasonic works wonderfully well. I don’t have a lot of facial hair, but what does grow is very coarse and the fact that I can do wet shaves with this model is awesome. You don’t need to press too hard with this shaver and it’ll still provide a smooth shave with no irritation.

It’s definitely expensive but considering I use it almost daily it’s a justified expense. When I don’t want to do the shaving process with my double edge razor, this is a welcome alternative and I find myself using the safety razor much less often since this shaves closely.

Longevity is yet to be seen but my review will be updated accordingly should anything arise.

The reviews are right, I’ve compared this to the top of the line Braun, and the reviews are consistent with my experience. If you just have a day of stubble the Arc5 shaves faster and closer than the Braun. However the Arc5 struggles with growth longer than stubble, it’s harder on your skin than the Braun, but either a pre-shave lotion will fix that. The other thing I noticed is I was much more prone to ingrown hairs with the Arc5. In the end while I liked the closer shave, I ended up with the Braun because it handled longer stubble better and avoided the ingrown hairs.

I purchased the ES-LV67 as an upgrade to another Panasonic Arc5, the ES-LV61, which was suffering from a dying battery. I took a few photos of the old and new side-by-side, and you can see that along with sporting a nice matte finish, the LV-67 is a little longer and slimmer overall. But while it’s technically bigger from head to toe, the new model actually feels less bulky and is more pleasant to handle.

As far as the shave goes, it’s pretty great—but I’d say that it’s not significantly better than the LV-61 with a new set of blades. However, I wasn’t really expecting anything mind-blowing here, considering that they both pair the exact same blades with the same level of cutting power. It seems that the main difference in the shaving experience is the LV-67’s thickness sensor that was introduced a few years ago with the LV-65, although I honestly don’t think I’m benefiting much from that with the way my facial hair grows.

Otherwise, I like most of the cosmetic changes in this new model, especially in the protective cap for the blades, which snaps on snugly (the old one basically fell off with the power of gravity), and it includes a some slats on the side to help it air out when wet. One minor complaint is the lack of a physical lock switch, as the LV-67 requires you to hold the power button down while it’s still on if you want to prevent it from turning on accidentally. Not the most user-friendly feature if you ever realize that you forgot to lock it and are used to quickly and covertly flipping a little switch.

Minor annoyance aside, I’m finding this to be a fine replacement for my older Arc5. It doesn’t bring any revolutionary changes, but the experience as a whole feels like an upgrade.
