I couple years ago I bought a pet camera on a whim in the hopes that it would help with my dog’s separation anxiety. That camera never worked and I wound up sending it back. I later found the PetCube and bought one of the original cameras and I really loved using it. My dog with separation anxiety had fun playing with the camera and seemed more relaxed when I got home after long days at work. I recently saw the PetCube Bite 2 and since I have just moved into a large house I thought “what the heck, this house needs 2 anyway”. I bought the PetCube Bites 2 and I am beyond happy with the decision. At first I had a little trouble with getting the App to connect to the camera, but the service team was super speedy in responding to my request for help and had me up and running in about 30 minutes. I have used the camera a bunch of times already in the short 2 weeks that I have had it and my dogs are ecstatic to have their favorite toy available again. I think the camera quality has improved since the initial version and I love the still photos you can take and save to show others how silly dogs act when alone. The look of the camera is great- it has a sleek silver base and a black plastic treat bin, which blends into nearly any decor. The treat bin is *slightly* smaller than the initial camera but it is large enough to keep some treats for a couple days at least. The treat bin also comes off easily so the device can be thoroughly cleaned whenever needed. The treat flinger is pretty powerful which is really helpful when you have 2 dogs- you can vary the distance you fling so that each dog can get some (my big dog is a bit of a treat hog).

In addition to the great use for entertaining my dogs (and myself honestly), I had an interesting experience with my first PetCube camera when an apartment management company employee entered my residence without notification. The company lied and said nobody had been in my apartment but luckily I had the video feed from the camera and was able to nab a still frame to prove that I wasn’t being crazy and nobody broke in without stealing anything, but rather the company was breaking the law by failing to notify me of the need to enter. The camera helped me prove my case and made me feel like my dogs and my residence are much safer now. I

Overall, ‘m really happy with the choice I made in purchasing with the PetCube Bites 2 camera and I definitely recommend others give it a try if you are looking for a way to low-key keep an eye on your apartment/house and pets while getting some entertainment at the same time.

I got this to keep an eye on my dog when I started working full time and it turned out to be the perfect solution for both of us! The 5GHz wi-fi support and more treat related options were the core motivators for me.

The wi-fi setup was a breeze — it was so easy and quick I didn’t actually need to use the setup guide at all. I like the wide-angle view to see the whole room and the video quality is amazing — full HD, sharp and clear. The night mode is great too when I’m out or running late. I’ve come to really appreciate the two-way audio to be able to tell my pup to get off the couch or simply call him to fling a treat. I usually send him treats as a reward for behaving well and he learned fast! You can change the treat flinging distance to make it more fun and it works with major treat brands, so you won’t feel limited in choice or worry if you need to change your pup’s diet. Other times, I just set up the auto flinging mode so he gets some yummies during the day and I only check in on him when I get a pet activity alert. I signed up for the Petcube Care service because of the auto-recording feature — it’s very helpful when I’m driving or busy at work and can’t check in on him right away. I can then go back in video history and see what he was up to. Once I was able to catch him eating a chewing gum of the block I accidentally left on the table. I took him to the vet immediately — luckily, he was all good, rascal.

Overall, I would recommend it for any pet parent! While it may not seem like a necessity for some, it’s very helpful to have peace of mind while away and I believe could be a lifesaver, too.

A built-in Alexa is a nice bonus! It’s optional but can come very handy — you can ask her to treat your pet instead of you or look for some great dog treat recipies.

    Seller Feedback

The product was delivered quickly and on time, as promised, and I had no issues along the way. It looked exactly as in the images and the packaging was brand new and beautiful. I was setting up the device late at night and had a few questions regarding the treat compatibility that I decided to address the Support Team about and was pleased to receive the super quick and clear response even though it was late.

The Petcube 2 came straight from the US, with a US connector, so I had to buy a SN connector to be able to use it.

Also Alexa is not available in Singapore.

I paid a premium price for extra’s that I cannot use here. I had better bought the Petcube 1, that had saved me a lot of money with the same options.

Amazon SG should have provided better information.

Setup was easy, but getting this thing to toss treats, its hit or miss, I’m using crunchy dog food in it, I’ve tried all of the 3 size brackets, tried all 4 quanity settings and it just seams to jam up and not disperse the kibble.
It also has a setting for distance, I have it on the closest settings and it still fires the treats up to 8 feet away, I’m trying to keep them in his pen.
The concept is great, but because it dont consistently toss treats, what’s the point of it, just a 250$ camera.
The speaker is also relatively quiet, making the alextra pointless.
This is not worth 250$, even if it works, maybe 100$, I just received ours yesterday and ill be sending it back and buy a different product that actually does as it’s supposed to.

I already have a normal video cam installed to check in on my dogs. Thought Petcube Bites would be a great addition as I can feed them treats. However the video resolution was a disappointment. Had assumed that for this price point, resolution should be on par compared to other video cams in the market costing less than half the price. The app is also not ideal, always requiring some time to reconnect to watch the live feed, and this also means there will be times i cannot connect to feed them treats.

I purchased Petcube Bites 2 about 6 months ago right after I got my puppy and I don’t think I could be happier with it. The treat dispenser works well. And I love that it also comes with Alexa. I didn’t have Alexa before so I was really excited to try it. Overall, I would recommend Petcube to every pet parent out there.
P.S. While in isolation I’ve realized Petcube’s sharing access to the camera feature is actually priceless. Everyone’s missing my babygirl and I like giving access to the camera to my parents and friends. And most importantly it seems super secure!

I wanted this camera to be able to check on my puppy while I’m at work and be able to surprise him with treats and boy did it deliver! Setup was quite easy- all you have to do is follow instructions via the app once you download- and it even came with free treats which were a perfect size for my puppy. If you have a larger dog with larger treats it comes with three different treat inserts as well which is nice. The camera itself has a large area it will cover but I suggest setting the camera close to where your puppy hangs out so you can see him/her clearly. The audio is great quality. My puppy knows the sound the treat dispenser makes and waits patiently for his treat! He loves it so much. You can also change the distance the treats fly out too! Bonus: it comes with wall mount supplies if you want to wall mount it. I got way more than I expected with this product I promise you won’t be disappointed!
