An excellent Bluetooth speaker. I’ve owned the Soundcore 2 for a couple of years now, and didn’t think that Anker could improve on Soundcore 2, the standard on which other Bluetooth speakers in this price range are judged. I can tell you that the Soundcore 3 definitely is an improvement over the Soundcore 2. The bass is stronger, and the treble is crisper. The combination of the Titanium drivers and the Soundcore app, make this another stand out hit for Soundcore.

The clarity of sound is not close to what is advertised on the package. When you turn it up it does sound a bit muffled and it sounds like the speaker is going to break at max volume. It sounds really bad at max volume, which is important because this speaker doesn’t get loud at all. What I did like though is that it has an app to EQ the sound. However, I did EQ it with Wavelet and the sound still isn’t great. It did charge with a pixel and MacBook charger which are dual ended USB chargers as a positive. I think this speaker should cost $40 max because that’s about the sound it produces. I would still try their headphones in the future but this speaker is definitely not for me.

Love the bass, it is so perfect and the treble is clear. I don’t normally write reviews but I have to give this a 5 star. Bought this for work and it actually outsmarts everyone elses speaker in every area! Battery is the best!

I like that You can customize the sound eq with the app.and with the app you can allso turn of the start up sound witch I like because I don’t like start up tones very much because they are sometimes to loud. And it remembers the volume you left it.you can do ture wireless stereo with another one of them. And party cast.it can go to avery low volume there is no interference in the background. but it does not have an auxiliary input but apart from that. Fantastic! The sound is much better than the soundcore 2. Not so muffled a lot brighter sound.and clear vocals and instruments sound more realistic. Hope this help you. Thanks roger.

Let me first start off by saying as a small portable speaker, the Soundcore 3 sounds amazing. I’m coming from the Soundcore 2 which was also an awesome speaker. Unfortunately Anker has made changes that I’m not happy with.

    So lets go over them.

    1. 3.5 MM jack removed. (So I know phones removed them because they had limited space) but there is no reason it needed to be removed from the SC 3.
    2. Thicker and heavier than the SC 2. One of the reasons I liked the SC was it was very small. The SC 3 is much more chunkier.
    3. What happened to the Mic? Why was that removed.

I would have definitely given it 5 stars if I never owned/used a SC2 for comparison or they had not made the above changes. As I mentioned above the sound quality is great and I love now it has the Soundcore App integration and most importantly it has USB C charging. But those changes alone are not enough to offset the negative changes.

***EDIT*** Adding 1 star back as Soundcore reached to to me, and the SC3 does indeed have a microphone in it.

I’ll be really honest, I was more than skeptical making this purchase, but after watching many reviews I decided that the soundcore would be the next Bluetooth speaker for me. I have a small barber studio and a pet grooming shop, and am often out exploring the wild. This little buddy really packs a punch, gives great sound quality, and lasts me all day. I’ll definitely be purchasing another few to keep at each of my locations!

I know I like my metal but even listening to Robbie this via iTouch and android tablet the sound was thin, tinny and just awful – even after downloading the app and adjusting the EQ

I’d expect much better for £50

sent straight back and I would encourage other not to buy

This is a super sweet purchase because it sounds really good for the little box that it is and is a terrific speakerphone which was my primary reason for buying it. I had a Big Jambox which is also a great speakerphone, but it was too big for my home office desk and it needed a dedicated charger which is a big brick where the SC3 has a USB C port to charge it. I tested a couple smaller units notably the JBL Go2 (Which is a terrible speakerphone) but was pleasantly surprised by the Soundcore3 as they don’t really advertise the microphone or how well it works. You can use the app to tune for voice frequencies so the voice quality is very good and the microphone works very well my voice quality is reported as very good. I do have a couple of negatives, 1) It DOES NOT MULTIPAIR, in other words it won’t pair both my Phone and my PC at the same time which is really disappointing considering this is Bluetooth 5 device and second when I pair it to my phone for some reason it seems to mess with my Liberty headphones when I pair them up after using the SC3, I have to unpair and re-pair the headphones in order for them to work properly which is easily done but super odd nonetheless. Overall this thing won’t blow your socks off with volume, but it sounds really good for a small unit and is a great speakerphone, I would highly recommend despite it’s shortcomings.

I was really excited when I got the speaker, opened it up and charged it right away. Once charged, it paired with my pixel 3xl flawlessly with the soundcore app. Started my Spotify’s playlist of downloaded songs and it sounded great. Brought the volume past 50% and it all went down hill. I tried the different EQ settings to see if it could balance any of the issues out but nothing helped. The bass boost was too much – and when its off it’s too flat. The highs and mids gets distorted with some crackle in the speaker. Don’t even think about having it past 50%. But At 40-50% it was enjoyable, till you drop your phone signal, immediate interference to the bluetooth connection as the LTE bars go from 4 to 3 back to 4 – the connection would cut in and out with plenty of static.

I knew the risk of getting the 3 since it hasn’t really gotten much reviews but I didn’t think it was going to be like this. I heard many good things about the 2 so i had hopes. I just sent this back and planning to get the Motion+ instead.
