Decent gameplay, but a little difficult to control/understand some of the “rules of combat”. Part of that could be because I don’t play run-and-gun games.
Cool designs, missions, and art, but the real fun in this is the story, and the nostalgia of it all. Strangely, I seem to do better playing as Cobra than as the Joes.

This live-action, CG-animated adventure once again looks spectacular, though, with the high-tech, talking creatures integrated seamlessly into the film’s twee English location.

And now I know this game is terrible. I was excited about this because I watched GI Joe cartoons when I was a younger man. But then the game arrived and I played it and all of my enthusiasm was curbed. The game play itself is awful. Terrible movement and aiming. Don’t even try to use melee because you can’t fight the enemy that is shooting you. You’ll end up swinging wildly at empty air. The acting and voices and even the sound effects…(Storm Shadow climbing the stairs sounds like a horse walking in a Western from the 1950’s. Isn’t he a ninja?)…All terrible. There are “cut scenes” that are just stills and look like my drawings of GI Joe from 6th grade. And the whole thing looks like a Borderlands rip-off, an aesthetic I’m not a fan of anyway in a much better game. I haven’t played it enough to be Snake Eyes yet, which is everyone’s goal I assume, but I also assume it’ll be just as dull and awkward to play. GI Joe deserves better. This will be traded, probably by the weekend.

This is for old school Joe fans of the 89s like myself. There is a patch coming soon people, so don’t worry. They are going to fix the movement and are listening to the fans really well about this game.
