Cracking fan just waiting on more good weather. Watched a lot of youtube videos and it came out on top. It’s super quiet and I’ve been told by dewalt enthusiasts the it can last 12hrs ish with a 5.0ah battery. I’m in the uk so would need to get a site adapter to to plugin to 110v but I’m happy just using batteries (1.3 xr -12.0ah flexvolt) As only available in the US I expected a longer wait, I was very surprised to receive it on the 7th day. The only downside of the fan is the price ( more than most) hopefully it will out last its competitors. A must have if using the dewalt XR platform

I am very Happy with this unit after day one. I placed a DCB203 20V Max 2.0AH Compact XR Li-Ion Battery Pack (Smallest they make) into the Fan, turned it on low at 10:45am. At 10:28 PM then unit is still running. On Low speed, you can not even hear the unit running. Will be running the unit on Medium speed this weekend, same battery.

I purchased this fan for the specific purpose of having some kind of cooling device available during a power outage. As such, I wanted to know exactly how much cooling time I would get from one battery. I’m using a 60-volt, 6.0 Ah “flex-volt” battery; however, my 20 volt, 4.0 Ah battery also (obviously) works. I turned on the variable speed fan to half speed; it’s VERY quiet. The design of these batteries is such that they don’t slowly wear down–instead, they just quit when the voltage drops too much–so, I suppose it could quit at any moment. But, after twelve hours, the fan is still going strong, and the battery still has 2 of its 3 charge level lights on (3 lights would be a full charge). I have to tell you, I am damned impressed! Well done, Dewalt!

I used to be a fan of Dewalt cordless tool. I’m not any more. Because I NOW have a dewalt fan. Excellent bit of kit. Arrived a week earlier than delivery date. Very impressed with the air flow.

Excellent for cooling down in hot work areas. Had to order from America as Uk don’t have 18 v version but runs on dewalt 18 v batteries with no issues.

The wife was looking for a small fan to use at our offgrid cabin while sleeping and seeing as I have Dewalt 20v tools, perfect no different batteries needed. Now how long does the battery last, I ran it with a stock Dewalt 20v max-3.0ah fully charged battery on med speed & it ran for 10+hrs and still had 1 light on the battery fuel gauge.
UPDATE: Works good at keeping me cool in my connex while working on my ATV’s while it’s 95° out in the sun

I knew it would be and it is completely amazing for a small battery powered fan… It puts out a good amount of air and even on its highest setting is not that loud… completely variable speed via a knob and right now running off a 3 ah battery with plenty of room to spare if I wanted to run a larger battery but even after hours of use still showing 3 bars on this battery! Pretty rugged build and for a guy like me who works on HVAC and an at home car hobbyist its perfect for allowing me to move it with me depending where I’m working…can even place it on a tripod if I need it at engine bay level! For under $100 bucks worth every dime.

Love this fan so far. Will update as I use it more. The fan pivots back more than 90° as you may see from my picture. I was concerned the bigger flexvolt battery wouldn’t fit in it but it does with ease. I’m currently conducting a run till dead test to see how long it will run at high-speed with Dewalt’s strongest battery the flex volt 9.0 AH battery. Seems pretty well-made, however, I’m going to hang on to the box to carry it in just to protect it. I hope the DeWALT comes out with a carrying case for this. The hooks pull out from the base allowing you to hang the fan on the job site, which is a nice touch. As many have already posted you can plug it in but not while you have a battery in the battery socket. To use AC will need an extension cord with a female plug on one end just as the DeWALT power pack inverter uses. The description on Amazon says it includes a battery….well it does not. You can use any of the DewALT 20 V or 20/60 flex volt batteries. I paid $85 but it just dropped to $79…. so what are you waiting for?
Well Its run for 3 hours and the LEDs on the battery still show a full charge!
Now at over 16 hours of run time with battery now down to one led still going strong ….
Ok it ran over 17 hours on one charge on high with DeWALTs best battery!!

Bought this for a camping trip since I have the Dewalt tools. This was a lifesaver in the middle of Texas summer. Decent air flow about 5-7 feet away, if you’re closer to it, it definitely moves air. Used a 4.0 battery, charge lasted all night(6-7) and during the day for a couple hours. I didn’t run it out of charge, but when I swapped to a new battery the one it took out still had a bar left of charge.

This fan has clever design features, including at least four ways to hook / attach it to work surfaces or fixtures, and is quiet, but the output is disappointing. Lots of reviews mention the impressive runtime, but it comes at the cost of weak air movement. This is so confusing because 20V users already have the charging ecosystem and the expectation that the battery will have to be switched out during the work day. There should be a “turbo” option similar to battery leaf blowers, where the user has to purposely select the high wattage and therefore acknowledge the decrease in battery life. I don’t need this thing to run for 10+ hours on one battery.

This thing is made STRONG. This last week at the market I was pulling it down and it slipped. It fell from about 6ft and hit concrete. Didn’t even scratch it. I’m not saying drop it on purpose but I thought for sure it would have been damaged if work at all. And it turned in and worked perfect! I love tho fan!
This is the 2nd fan I’ve bought. I love it! I use it for a weekly Farmers market tent. I hang it from the frame and it keep my customers cool while they shop. My original purchase was for the fan, battery set and charger. A full charge battery will run this fan on high from 8:30am-2:00pm and still have over half charge. It creates a nice breeze. Made 100* market days much more bearable. Highly recommend this little workhorse.
