Huge sound from these small buds! The sound is great and the nose cancelling helps. The noise cancelling is not as good as some other much more expensive products but the sound is great. I would’ve bought several if they had them in stock! I travel extensively for work and things get lost, damaged and stolen. But at this price it’s OK. WELL DONE PLANTRONICS!!!

Plantronics makes some good technology. The headphones are lightweight and comfortable for long term use. The noise cancellation cuts out nearly all bus & train background sounds. Voice quality is excellent for podcasts. Music quality is good. This is a great headset for the price.
    Pro:
-Noise cancellation makes a big difference. These are in-ear, so it’s not 100% elimination, but it comes close in many situations: Office white noise, train, walking around the city. Even with no content, these buds truly isolate you from the rest of the world. Performance does not match BOSE, but neither does the price. These are an excellent value for active noise cancellation.
-Battery life is excellent, with the set regularly lasting 8 hours of use on a full charge. 10 minutes on the micro-USB charger gets you an extra hour of listening.
-Controls are easy to use with distinct tactile patterns so you can feel that you’re pressing the right buttons.
-You can wear the buds with the wires over your ears or under, but you have to adjust the wings to ensure they’re pointed he right way.
-The package comes with a carry bag to keep everything from getting tangled. Unlike many behind the neck sets, the wires are strong and look like they’ll last a while.
-If you only have a wired option (i.e. plane armrest), these can be connected in with the included adapter.
    Con:
-There’s no ANC in wired mode. They behave like a decent pair of standard buds with better than average sound isolation.
-Sound quality is average. Listening to music is a similar experience to a $30 set of wired headphones. There’s little depth to the music. Most of what you hear is mid-tones with the highs and lows limited to your imagination or memories from other listening experiences. Apparently, at the price point you can have good audio or good sound isolation, but not both.
-There’s no noise cancellation on the microphone. If you’re in the city, your callers will know you’re in the city. That said, they can still hear you well. The mic has great gain so you can be heard loud and clear.
    Value:
You get a lot for your money, but there are compromises. I’ve tried several other sets of earbuds at this price point, and they all sound better when listening to music than the Backbeat GO 410. However, none have the sound isolation that these deliver.
    Conclusion:
These are a compromise. They’re made for those working in noisy environments with a primary goal to eliminate that noise as a distraction. In this sense, they perform well. If your primary objective is good sounding music, consider alternatives.

I’m huge listednr to music and mostly use headset for better enjoyment. These earbuds are good dit and very comfortable in ears. Buds don’t fall off my ears and stay in. Qulaity of sound is good but not the best, the Actove noise canceling is great welcome. The most feature I liked in these pair is the magnetic sensors when latched it shuts off Active noise cancelling and BT to save bettery life for longer performance. Quality is super and storage pouch and USB charging cable with an option to use 3.5 audio is handy. PLT companion app on smart phone is useful to customiize audio from bass to bright and shows battery life.

There are many different brands and models of wireless Bluetooth earbuds available. A relatively rare feature for this price point though, is ANC (Active Noise Cancellation). The components necessary for ANC are the reason for the two lobes that drape on either side of the wearer’s neck. Similar Plantronics earbud models without ANC use the same earpieces as the 410 and give similar sound dynamics at a lower price and slightly lighter package. However, part of the reason we sometimes use headphones or earbuds is to separate ourselves from the annoying noises in public places on the ride to and from work or in the gym. Again, for this price point the Plantronics BackBeat GO 410 earbuds deliver not only good voice and music but some peace and quiet too. You can have slightly better ANC for double or triple the price, but the ANC on these earbuds is reasonably effective.
    PROS:
    – For the less technical among us, the BackBeat GO 410 earbuds seek out and pair with a Bluetooth device like a Cell Phone when they are turned on the first time, out of the box. For that reason, it’s a good idea to have your phone within 20 feet with its Bluetooth transmitter turned on, before opening the BackBeat GO 410 earbuds box and turning them on for the first time. If you forget, or you want to pair them with a second or third device, there is a button pushing procedure outlined in the owner’s annual to follow for Bluetooth pairing.
    – The Active Noise Cancelling is effective and produces a noticeable reduction in background noise particularly droning (steady rhythm and frequency) noises like lawn mowers and aircraft engines.

    – ANC does require extra power from the batteries, so it’s important to shut the power down when the earbuds are removed, even temporarily. There is a handy feature that shuts the power off just by removing the earbuds from your ears and clicking them together around your neck with the internal magnets in the earbuds.
    – The foam of the earbud insert is sweat resistant, to stop premature deterioration.
    – The BackBeat GO 410 earbuds use the latest Bluetooth 5.0 protocol. That means a solid stable connection as far 30 feet between the earbuds and your phone, as long as the phone is up to version 5.0 of Bluetooth too.
    – The flat rather than round cross-section wires of the BackBeat GO 410 earbuds, resist tangling and knotting.
    CONS:
    – The BackBeat GO 410 earbuds use the older Micro USB connection for charging rather than the more current and versatile USB-C connection. That sometimes means carrying around two different types of charging cables for your equipment.
    – The frequency response and battery life of the BackBeat GO 410 earbuds is only average. However this is the feature price we pay, for Active Noise Cancelling.
    CONCLUSION:
    – In the end, you have to decide if Active Noise Cancelling is an important feature for you. If it is, I highly recommend considering these earbuds. If you have no need for ANC, then you can get lighter less expensive earbuds with the same sound quality and longer battery life. It’s your choice.

I’ll start this off by saying that I hate things that rest on my neck. I won’t wear necklaces or heavy hoodies, it’s always bothered me but with getting the new iPhone with no AUX port, I needed new headphones. I regularly attend the gym and figured these would be solid option since they’re Bluetooth wireless and won’t get in the way of my active lifestyle but was still hesitant about how comfortable they’d be on me.
Glad to report that my fears were unjustified.these headphones have a sleek look and are quite comfortable. Obviously you’ll be conscious of a wire hanging between your ears but it’s pretty discreet and not heavy at all. The material is plastic/rubber but smooth and doesn’t interfere.
The sound quality is surprisingly good, obviously it won’t be Bose quality but the bass is very noticeable in a good way.
You’ll notice in the attached pictures that the headphone had magnets in each end so that when the headphones come off, the magnets attach which turns off the power and Bluetooth, conserving the battery.
The battery has been averaging about nine to ten hours of run time between charges which is a bit above the standard for these type of headphones, another positive note.
A couple inches below the side of the headphone is a touch pad for volume control, voice control, and pausing/playing music. It’s easy to use, easy to learn, and very user friendly.
The last positive note for anyone who has an AUX jack in their phone is that, as pictured, the USB port can pop off and become an AUX plug, that way if the headphones lose battery and you aren’t near a charging port, you can plug the AUX cord in and start using the headphones without Bluetooth. It’s an incredibly intelligent design
In closing this is user friendly with good sound, structure, and quality features. I’d absolutely recommend this and look forward to continuing to use these headphones in the future.

    Pro
    -Decent battery life
    -A wired connection improves versatility
    -Magnetic on/off toggle is useful
    -Water resistant
    -Comes with nice carry bag
    Con
-Buds aren’t as comfortable or customizable as competitors
-Neck band will squeeze in and pinch thicker necks
    -Toggling noise cancelation is futzy
-ANC quality not great and completely depends on how well they seal in your ears
-Default audio is tinny and requires the app to get decent audio balance
-The app EQ is nowhere near as robust as JLab and Jaybird
-No HD audio codecs ( apt-X, LDAC, etc )
-Controls use “hold button for multiple seconds” control scheme, which is slow
-Mic can’t be used in wired mode, despite having 4-pole connector
-Wired connection doesn’t work on all phones and mobile devices
-Phone calls sound mediocre and distant
-3.5mm cable is proprietary, so don’t lose it
    Overall
I really wanted to like the BackBeat 410 Go earbuds. My workhorse headphones can connect over Bluetooth, 3.5mm, and even USB for computers. I love the versatility they give in being able to connect to practically everything in any situation. But they’re also big and bulky, so rarely leave the desk. When I saw the 410 Go had a 3.5mm cable as well, I thought they’d make a more portable alternative to my usual headphones. In some ways they are, but in all I was left disappointed in them.
First, the good. The BackBeat 410 Go has the basics covered. The battery life is decent, the earbuds are reasonably comfortable, they’re water resistant for sweat and working out, and they come with a nice carry bag to hold the buds, the charging cable, and the two extra ear tips. The backs of the earbuds have magnets and a sensor so that the buds go into standby whenever they’re clasped ( just take them out of your ears and let them fall together in front of you ).
The charging cable is a standard micro USB to USB A ( the micro end is a 90 degree fitting ). No AC charging plug is included because you probably don’t need another one. The charging cable also doubles as the 3.5mm auxiliary jack ( the large USB A connector comes off ). The 3.5mm connector is 4-pole, suggesting it supports the mic as a full headset, however I wasn’t able to get the mic to work on any phone, tablet, or computer. My phone ( Lumia 950 ) wouldn’t even recognize it as headphone alone, though other phones had no problem with that.
Now the bad. First, is comfort. I’ve got a very thick neck and found the neckband on the 410 to slightly pinch in. It wasn’t painful, but it was enough to be a nuisance throughout the day. Also, the 410 only comes with three sets of ear tips, compared to the often 6+ sizes and shapes available in JLabs and Jaybird competing products. I couldn’t get as comfortable an ear fit with these as I have with other earbuds. As the active noise cancelling on earbuds is largely dependent on how well they fit and seal in your ear canals, this is a potential problem for many people.
Audio quality is okay, but not great. Default sound, without any software EQ improvements from the companion app, is very tinny and lacking in bass. The mobile app can switch to a heavier bass profile, but that’s the only alternative; no option for customized EQ curves. The 410s also don’t have any hi-def audio codecs, like apt-X. Finally, phone call quality sounds distant and mediocre at best.
The control pod on the right side has the typical volume up/down buttons and a center button for play/pause and other things. The buttons pull double duty through long presses, which I’m not fond of ( I much prefer faster double- and triple-clicks to do that ). Turning the ANC on and off involves pressing and holding two buttons simultaneously, which can be tricky depending on how wide your fingers are.
In all, I simply don’t think the 410s do enough to warrant their price. JLab’s Epic line tops out around $100, and though they don’t have a 3.5mm jack, they come with more eartip and EQ options, better controls, and overall more comfortable fit ( the buds coming up and over my ears helps them stay put better ).

As the name implies, these headphones are suitable if you need a quality Bluetooth 5, noise canceling headset while on the go.
The around the neck design means you won’t lose or leave them behind if they fall out of your ear.
These are great for running errands around town, traveling in a busy airport, driving, biking, walking, cleaning the garage, working on the car, yardwork, etc.
The magnetic heads put it to sleep to save battery and prevent tangles.
They’re equipped with Bluetooth 5. This means it’s easier to switch between multiple devices (especially other BT5 devices).
The included 3.5mm cable allows you to use it with a headphone jack if it runs out of power and you can’t charge it.
    There were only two negatives.
    1. The microphone placement allows it to scrape against clothing during calls, producing a loud, ruffling noise. I can’t recommend it for work scenarios as this could be off-putting to your colleagues.
    2. They lack USB-C charging

This is a handsome pair of earbuds from Plantronics and the Backbeat GO is really flexible with my day to day needs. I will be honest that I have a uses for different headphones and these are for my gaming and workout needs.
Often I am wearing uncomfortable headphones that cover my ears for long gaming periods and that is why I wanted earbuds so that my ears and head wouldn’t get hot from extreme games as silly as it sounds. The neckband is very comfortable and unnoticeable which I have really enjoyed. Controls on the wire are standard like other earbuds and they work with all my Bluetooth devices.
As a quick side note you can synch multiple devices, download the application for the Backbeat and it opens up a new world of features. My favorite being the “find my headphones” feature where if they are lost or stolen it triggers a tone to go off on the earbuds so that you can find them. I’m pretty sure this if my favorite part and I hope I never have to use it but it is very cool.

The pouch it comes with is flat and easy to store in my backpack and the earbuds come with a wire for when I travel and use the auxiliary port on my Nintendo Switch. I once watched a reality show and learned the term “Two-fer” where you get two for one and that’s how I feel about the Backbeat GO because I can be wireless or fully wired for gaming sessions. I am bummed the microphone doesn’t work when connected to auxiliary port and the microphone does echo a lot but that’s a concession I will forgive.

Music plays amazingly and at the gym I can’t hear people slamming weights or my own breathing which is what prevents me from long runs because it distracts me. I ran these guys through a series of tracks from: Ill Divo, Debussey, Marshmellow with Bastille, and Kenny Rogers. The acoustics are airy and well-rounded while the bass is full and strong which gets my gym sessions going. I’m glad I got these just in time for time off during the holiday!
