This blender is one powerful machine. It is obviously smaller than a traditional blender but larger than the older magic bullet type blenders that also do a single serve. I was surprised by the size of the base. The good thing is, it does do a fantastic job and it’s quick. When you select the smoothie button, it runs for 60 seconds and does a count down for you. On this particular smoothie, I had to do a 2nd minute because a chunk stayed more at the top and did not get crushed. No big deal. The smoothie came smooth and perfectly blended. There is a max fill line, pay attention to that. I didn’t have any issues with the bottom leaking during mixing. The cups are nice and big so you can have fun with your ingredients. This smoothie had strawberries, ice, blueberries, vanilla almond milk, banana protein powder, turbinado, peanut butter, vanilla frozen yogurt, and a small squirt of strawberry syrup.
The booklet comes with recipes and instructions for best mixing results. It is a nice addition to my healthy lifestyle toolbox. The only con I can say is the base is bigger than expected, but it does have lots of power so the size is justified.

I have nothing bad to say about this machine. It has no problem blending frozen fruit, it has an automatic blend setting for smoothies, it conveniently turns the blender cup into a drinking cup with the change of a lid, and everything is dishwasher safe! Best of all, I’m saving money making my own smoothies rather than dropping $5-7/cup per person at the local smoothie joint.
It has been about a week now and the fam and I have been going to town making smoothies from bags of frozen fruit at the local wholesale warehouse. The blender comes with two 24oz cups, which is plenty for a family of 4; I make a first cup to split with two kids in their own cups, then make two more for the wife and I using the original 24oz cups with the included lid. In my opinion, it has been leaps and bounds easier to make smoothies with this thing rather than bring out the traditional big blender. It takes no more than 5 minutes to do all this. And when it’s all said and done, I just toss the cups, lids and blade in the dishwasher.
Ninja did design this blender to be a single-serve blender, but as I stated above, this can work well for small families, and quite possibly larger ones, but you’ll be running the blender quite often the more people participate. But that just means that each person gets their own customized drink since you don’t have to throw all the ingredients like you would in a large cup blender. Obviously if you’re purchasing this for yourself or for a party of 2, this is where Ninja hits the sweet spot. But overall, I just found using this thing so much easier, and that’s why I hold it so high with respect to the Vitamixes and Blendtecs when it comes to smoothie creation.
I haven’t tried yet, but I can imagine myself making a quick breakfast smoothie before hitting the road to work or even making a post protein workout shake blended with ice. If you’re out of ideas, Ninja includes a recipe book for different types of smoothies as well as cocktails.
Some notables about the blender is that it has a fool-proof twist lock mechanism that ensures the blades are secured to the base before allowing you to switch the unit on. Another nicety is the blender motor base has suction cups as feet to keep the unit firmly planted while blending.
Highly recommended.

having had Ninja’s for the last 12 years and them still being used, i was interested in the auto-IQ programs for making smoothies, etc
If you’re new to blending drinks, refer to some of the recipes and instructions. the order is KEY. I wasn’t paying attention and put ice in first then my fruit, etc not thinking about that when you put the lid on and blend, the ice is now at the top. makes it more difficult to get the job done. Ice is usually the last or near last items to put in. but it does do an excellent job.
it’s nice having the program so i can hit the button and walk around the kitchen prepping other things, like my food or just general tidying, while it executes the program
cleanup is easy, while the blades don’t remove from the base, there’s ample room to get a sponge/brush/whatever around the blade to make sure its cleaned off
If you’re always blending for one on the go, this makes sense, but if you’ll occasionally want to make more or have more people around it may be worth going up a level to the ninja that has the large pitcher, plus two of these personal size containers.
it’s not much more space to take up and you have more versatility that way. if that’s not an issue, or you’re really tight on storage, this would be the choice then.

– Be careful to cut your fruits/vegetables in smaller pieces so that you don’t find the device overflowing (see picture).
– Plastic cups are not that easy to get rid of the odors. I understand that crystal cups are easier to break.
– Consider the size of the base if you are thinking of carrying this device with you everywhere, for example, to the office, on road-trips when stopping at hotels, etc.
– After blending, there is only one inconvenience, the inner thread of the cup gets covered with the blended juice, so when you insert the cap, you’ll notice the juice flowing through the thread as you secure the cap (some might say extra sealant).

Mornings are hectic to begin with, getting the kids up and ready to go, getting breakfast ready, coffee and lastly your own breakfast. As for me, I usually make my self a little breakfast smoothie and sometimes during all the commotion I don’t always get the consistency and chunky and then find something to take it in. Well, that whole process has been made a bit easier. This morning I prepared my smoothie in the Ninja Nutri-Blender Pro, and let me tell you it was easier. I put all the ingredients into the cup then placed the blade assembly on, pressed the smoothie button and walked away getting everything else ready. 50 seconds later the smoothie was ready with the perfect consistency and all the ingredients were chopped up nicely. I placed the spout lid on the cup and was on my way out the door.
The Ninja Nutri-Blender Pro with Auto IQ provides 1100 Watts of Peak Power to power through the toughest of ingredients. I usually use frozen fruits in my smoothies and I had no issues at all using this. The Auto-IQ pre-programmed buttons allow you to get the perfect consistency every time. And when its all said and done just place the cup and blade assembly into your dish washer to use the next day.
To test out how well the unit performs and to check its Ice Crushing functionality, I filled up the cup with ice cubes and ran the unit on CRUSH function for probably 10 seconds, I didn’t even need to run the whole cycle and the result was homemade snow cones. All the cubes were crushed basically into tiny little chucks perfect for snow cones.
-In the Box:
2 24 OZ. Cups and 2 Spout Lids
1 Blade Assembly
1 Motor Unit
Recipe Book
Overall, I have been using this now for the past few days for getting my breakfast smoothies ready before work and honestly, I can’t complain. The one touch system and the to go cups really do makes hectic mornings a tad bit easier.

Making smoothies and shakes in my old blender has always been a chore due to its size and confusing buttons and settings. With this personal-sized Nutri-Blender Pro, Ninja has taken the guesswork out of using a blender. With a very small footprint, it is a perfect size for individual smoothies and drinks. It is incredibly powerful for such a small blender – I have made smoothies, milkshakes, and frozen drinks, all perfectly blended.
PROS:
– I kept my old blender in a cabinet under my kitchen counter because it was unsightly and took up too much counter space. The Nutri-Blender Pro is smaller than a coffee maker and looks great on my counter. It has suction cups on the bottom to keep it stationary while the blender is running.
– There is practically no setup or assembly required. Just take it out of the box and plug it in. No need to program anything.
– I love that the blender comes with two cups and lids. You blend directly in the cups – there is no large pitcher that you have to worry about storing or cleaning. The cup lids have spouts on them so you can take the cups with you and drink on-the-go.
– The cups, lids, and blade assembly are all dishwasher safe, meaning that cleaning is super easy.
– No guesswork required. If you want to make a smoothie, just press the “Smoothie” button. To crush ice and fruit into frozen drinks, use the “Crush” button. Then just sit back and wait for the timer to run down. You’ll have a delicious drink in less than 60 seconds.
– If you want more control over the blending process, you can use the “Start/Stop” and “Pulse” buttons. “Start/Stop” will run the blender continuously for up to 60 seconds. The “Pulse” button will run the blender based on how long you hold down the button.
– Don’t be fooled by its size: this is a powerful blender. It has handled everything I’ve thrown at it with ease: frozen fruit, bananas, vegetables, ice, spinach, etc. — all perfectly blended with no “chunks” left over.
– The blender comes with a recipe book with about 20 recipes for smoothies and frozen drinks. They all look good, but my favorite is the Berry Almond Smoothie.
CONS:
– This thing is LOUD. I think it is louder than any vacuum cleaner I’ve owned. Luckily, it only needs to run for less than a minute, but just know that you’ll probably wake up the whole house if you use this late at night!
– I wish it would have come with two blade assemblies (one for each cup), but it’s easy enough to wash it between uses.
OVERALL:
This is an excellent blender to make single servings of smoothies and frozen drinks. I love its compact size and impressive power. If you’ve never made a smoothie before, don’t worry – there’s no learning curve here. If you can press a button, you can use this blender. It’s that simple. Highly recommended!

Great new rendition of the Ninja Blender! I’m pleased with this blender so far; my wife and I have been making all sorts of things from healthy smoothies and chocolatey coffee milk shakes to salsa and hummus. I like the IQ modes, once you select one of the buttons, the blender seems to know exactly how to make the perfect concoction every time. I am happy on how fast the blender is. It takes about a minute and with the IQ modes, the blender pauses every few seconds before going again, I believe the pauses are so the liquid can fall toward the blades again before restarting, ensuring everything gets blended. No more shaking the blender to ensure everything gets blended, those days are finally over, this thing is a beast! I really like that it comes with two 24-ounce cups with flip top spout lids, making it easy to take your fresh smoothy with you on the go. For the crushed ice, it comes out more like snow which would be perfect for snow cones on hot summer days. As for the looks of the blender, you can’t beat the sleek modern look that Ninja provides. The blender looks so good and is small enough to fit on any counter space. The Nutri-Blender Pro also comes with nice suction cups on the bottom to secure the blender and prevent it from walking when operating, I found this to be a great feature. I haven’t found any cons with this blender, it just works great, every time. In all, I am happy I picked this blender up. I have added it to my morning routine making healthy green smoothies before I hit the road and my kids are really enjoying all the fun milkshakes for dessert. If you are looking for a sleek, smart, and quick blender that can make two 24-ounce drinks, this is the one. Hands down, this has been a fun and exciting experience! The recipe book it comes with is great too!

Right out of the box, the Ninja Pro has been a pleasant experience. You can immediately feel the weight and solid construction behind it. This is way above previous smoothie makers I’ve owned & discarded. That’s not to say that it’s just for smoothies, as you can see from the attached photo the thickness and sharpness of the blades allow it to easily slice through the toughest of fruits & vegetables you can throw at it as well as pulverizing ice.
You might infer from the other photo that I have a fondness for making malts. If you’ve never used malt before, it never really dissolves in liquid, acting more like the bean specks in vanilla bean ice cream. With my previous mixers, you could always see a slight accumulation of the malt on the walls of the container. I always needed to be careful not to dump the malt in first, or else once it got wet, I’d get a clump of it below the blades, making it difficult to clean. No such problem with the Ninja, it dispersed the malt particles nicely throughout the drink.
This probably has something to do with how it operates. While it has an on/off button, there is also a program mode for smoothie (and one for ice.) Using the smoothie program, the timer sets for a minute, then it goes through a series of long & short pulses that allow still solid material to settle so the blades get a better shot at cutting. With other blenders solids might remain in suspension above the blade, or you’d have to keep pulsing manually.
The unit comes with two separate containers with lids (dishwasher safe along with the blade section) making it handy for those mornings when yesterday’s dishes are still in the sink.
This is my fourth Ninja product (Foodi, Air Fry Oven, upright vacuum) and all have performed admirably. I still can’t believe how quickly the Air Fry toaster oven heats up – another great morning helper!
The Ninja is a solid choice for the price in this market – highly recommend.
