I upgraded from an Asus 34 inch wide gaming monitor. I love the size of this monitor as well as build quality. I like the wide FOV that this offers. I did not want to buy and setup three monitors so this is a great alternative to multiple monitors. Now I am not impressed with Samsung drivers nor the overall quality. The screen flickers a lot when transitioning from white screen to black or with white on black images. Samsung products should not be this bad. I think it’s a driver issue but since the driver is not great I cannot tell for sure. I do have a two years warranty with this monitor so I am not in a rush to get a new unit. I don’t have any dead pixel so I am happy keeping the monitor with flickering issue but no dead pixel. A shame.

I bought this monitor back in June of 2019 on amazon, I upgraded from using asus’ pg279q gaming monitor. And I have to say this was the best decision I have ever made.
I was worried about it being free sync and not gsync because I read everywhere that gsync has less ghosting and tearing compared to free sync. This was not an issue with free sync 2. On nvidia control I was able to activate gsync on this monitor and I honestly cant tell any difference between asus’ gsync monitors with smoothness of the screen other than the samsung having a much higher and better color range and brightness.
The best part about this monitor is being able to play games in 32:9 format, it’s an experience like trying VR for the first time. You will just be blown away.

Been eyeing this for over a year. Finally jumped on it when it was $200 off. The monitor arrived no problem. I come from triple monitor set-up and this 49″ makes me not miss it. This is basically two 27″ monitors put together. I really like the no bezel look. Everything looks seemless now. Awesome for gaming and productivity. With the higher resolution text and gaming looks better on this monitor. Walmart is a great way to go to get this monitor because the 4 year extended warranty is really affordable $77….. everywhere else is at least $100 or more. It was a no brainier for me.

Its everything I hoped it would be. It took a sec to get used to but this screen really makes a big difference in my productivity with my MacBook. Walmart also delivered the item with in a day or two and had the best price on it. Love it!

monitor didn’t last 7 months. green line of dead pixels and blue line of dead pixels. poor quality control. talking to someone on the phone is awful. getting a written response would be easier by far, except it is non existent. won’t be buying samsung again.

i bought my crg9 to use with a 2020 macbook pro. these two are not compatible with hmdi, which resulted in me switching out to displayport connectivity. however, even then you must be careful with the quality of the displayport cable if you want an optimal resolution.
unfortunately for me, while swapping out a displayport cable, i dropped an end and it swung in contact with the screen. despite barely any force, it resulted in a nasty crack that has rendered this monitor useless. i didn’t even have this for a month and now i’m left with a huge paper weight.
i would recommend avoiding this product completely.
