We bought two of these and neither lasted more than 6 mos. We bought this last one in March 2020, it’s now September 2020 (just past it’s Aug 4 return) and already chirping. Total garbage!

Alarms used the same screws that were used to install the old P1210 smoke alarms. Made it a breeze to install the new ones.

I had read reviews stating that some of these units stink. Well, they were right. The test of this smoke alarm did not work, the battery is not swappable, etc. It was dead on arrival. Sending it back.

Had this same smoke detector for ten years and it is great. I have bought several for my home and love them.

This is the 2nd one we purchased. First one lasted 5 years. This one was installed and started going off for no reason. No cooking, no excessive heat, etc. Sent it back.
