My husband bought this to clean his tractor trailer when on the road. It works really well and fits nicely under the bunk. Love it.

Very convenient. Well made. We bring it everywhere we have some work to do. Would have welcome more accessories and a longer vacuum hose. A little bit noisy but it is doing the job. Have good suction power. We work then we use this vacuum and the work area is clean. Use M18 battery (normal or compact). We bought it because we have already a lot of Milwaukee M18 tools.

Let’s get this out of the way first: I’m a huge fan of the M18 system. The design is smart, the construction is solid, and I feel like there’s a lot of value at the given price point.
So to this little vacuum. If you’ve ever tried to wrangle a shop vac on wheels you’re going to love this thing. So often you need a vacuum where it’s not convenient to try and drag a cord and a regular shop vac. Maybe you have a cordless vac in the house but then if you get dirt or grease on it…you know the deal. So that’s where this little guy shines.
The form factor is awesome. It’s like a medium-sized toolbox. So it’s stable and it’s not going to tip over. It’s also powerful, so no issues there. It’s also easy to clean, basically two latches. It really doesn’t sound all that remarkable but I am here to tell you, this thing is AWESOME. Some examples: Quick clean out of your car. Vacuum your workbench, or around stationary tools. Where it really shines is when you need something portable. I try to suction out our condensate drain lines about once a month during the summer b/c it seems like they get gunked up. What used to be a complete ordeal with a corded vac is now an easy 2-minute job.
As with most tools, what I’ve found is if they are accessible and easy to use then you’re much more likely to take on the jobs and maintenance tasks that require those tools. Compared to when you dread dragging things out, or tools are heavy or cumbersome, you’ll procrastinate. I know that’s what I do. So while this little vac isn’t changing the world, it’s going to make your life a LOT easier.
If you’re into the M18 system then honestly, this should be an absolute no-brainer. If you don’t have the M18 ecosystem, I think it would be worth it to get this vacuum, one battery and a charger. It’s that good. And if you don’t get any other M18 tools then this one is still worth it on its own.

I love it ! My wife loves it so much, she carries it in her car and uses it regularly! Be careful for the battery you are using. Go with an XC 5.0 or more. If you have a smaller battery it won’t last. It’s hard on the batteries. But best in class for suction and portability!

We use it on our renovations jobs for the minor cleanups instead of the larger corded vac and it works really well. I like the new design with the hose stored internally. Light with good run time and on board storage.

Expensive for a small vacuum but not having to deal with extension cords is also nice when cleaning out a vehicle and not having to worry about pulling a muddy extension cord across the seat you just vacuumed

I bought this vacuum, thinking it was another one with apparently the same serial number? (0880-20) , but it turned out to be a different model or an older generation so this review is for the old one I guess or a off shoot of the 0880-20. I bought some bags for the milwaukee one thought it was, and this one did not have that option. I am giving it 2 star review for one reason though, would have been a 3….
Pro.
nice storage compartment and battery is held internally so its nice and to keep everything out of the elements. Light weight and has a lot of potential
Cons
Suction is terrible…. not sure if its just mine, but I could barely suck up wood chips and when i attempted small amounts of drywall dust or metal shavings it was almost nil, I had to scrub the floor with the suction to even get most of it to get in…
Big con
Would run for 2 – 3 minutes, then randomly shut off, and not turn on for an hour…. sometimes a whole day…. the switch wouldn’t actuate or anything.,.. or it’d just not run after turning itself off… Maybe I got a lemon but I saw online that this model is pretty terrible and or barely hits or a complete miss…

This arrived today. I put a battery on it from my drill and it worked. I changed to a lower capacity battery from another drill and it worked. I must have pulled the trigger before taking the batteries off the drill. When the battery goes unused for more than a couple minutes, the vacuum won’t turn on. Not with any batteries. I tried it over and over with different batteries and nothing. Then I discovered if I put the battery on another tool, start the tool briefly, put the battery back on the vacuum, it runs fine as long as it isn’t left off for more than a couple minutes. I’ve tried this and repeated the behavior with 10 yr old batteries, five year old batteries, and brand new Milwaukee 5.0 Ah batteries bought this week. So in order for the vacuum to work, I have to have a drill with me to “activate” the batteries first. If it worked like it should, I would give it 5 stars.

I recently picked up a small battery powered handheld vacuum for my workshop
(Found Here)
– and it was so convenient that I decided to replace the small shop vac that I use for projects around the house as well.
Since I use Milwaukee tools for just about everything, and have half a dozen of their batteries, it was an obvious decision to go with this model.
When I received this shop-vac, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it’s an updated model compared to the photos on the product page here on Amazon. The way the hose attaches is different; and, it appears to be a significant and worthwhile update – which is confusing since the model number didn’t change…
It’s amazing how much more convenient this is than a corded shop vac! I’ve found that it’s so much easier to use that I don’t even hesitate to pull it out far more frequently.
On top of that:
1) It packs up and stores far more conveniently since it doesn’t have any attachments hanging off of it – or cords that need to be wound up.
2) It’s just as powerful as my previous small Craftsman shop vac.
3) The internal hose works great and the onboard attachments actually store within the closed up vac for storage.
The only potential downside is that it chews through batteries; but, that isn’t a huge problem if you’re planning to use it for small projects. I can get about 10-15 minutes of solid use off of a RedLithium XC 4.0 battery pack
(Found on This Page)
– and you should be able to see in the attached photos that there is plenty of space for their newer/higher capacity battery packs.
Overall, If you’re looking for an extremely convenient and compact vacuum for small projects – then I would highly recommend giving this a try.
