Just bought a second of this bed as our cat loves it so much!
We took on an older cat who wouldn’t go near any of the plushy beds we had. She kept sleeping on the carpet under the stairs so I bought this as a thinner alternative bed and she took to it immediately, now she sleeps on this most of the time.
It feels scratchy to touch. It also arrives folded and takes a few days to flatten out. Neither bothers the cat though.
It doesn’t feel that warm to touch even after she’s been sleeping on it but must be cosy to her.

Heating pad dimensions specified 15×20”. In reality, the beige heating pad itself is 8.5×9”, while the grey cover is 14×19” (see photo). The cover is some kind of rough fiber, not even a woven fabric. Awful product. Returned the day it was received. I ordered this because of the positive reviews. I can’t imagine anyone being satisfied with this product.

We bought this as we seem to have inherited sons cat when he moved home and thought very little of it BUT. WOW! It is amazing. We can’t keep the cat off it. We are that impressed that we bought another one for his outdoor cat house. Spoilt rotten he is but honestly very impressed with this. Also saves cat hair getting on the furniture. It really does warm up from his own body heat and he is a big cat.

Ok, this is a case where you get what you pay for. They are not really ready for immediate use. They are scratchy and will start to fall apart after the first washing. However, if you are a sewer you can easily take an old pillow case and fit it to this pad and have wonderful, easy to clean kitty pads. I suggest that you fit the pillow case by cutting it down and then sew around all the seams attaching the case to the pad. After that, you have a soft, simple pad that can be washed without destroying it.

As my posting name indicates, I’m a fussy customer and pretty disappointed in these pads. They are not as thick or as large (only 20″ x 15″) as opposed to the original K&T Mysterious Purr Padd, which is 20″ x 20″. The stitching around the edges is sloppy, not neat and clean like the original pad. When you have large cats, that 5 extra inches makes a difference.
Already purchased more of original K&T Mysterious Purr Padds and may just sew these three K&H pads together, so it’s not a total loss. I was thrown off by the similarity in the manufacturer name, thinking K&H made the Purr Pad, but it is K&T. Will not make this mistake again.

My cats love these. Have spent a fortune on cat beds over the years, only for the cats to sleep on the sofa. Now they have a cardboard box with one of these in and they love them! Although one of my cats decided to shred one of them, I have no idea why, but they’re cheap enough to replace.

Update: I’ve since washed these and they held up pretty well, but do start to degrade. However, they’re still holding up, the kitties love them, and you can’t beat the price.
Original review: Same seemingly rough material as the Purr Pads, but cats love it, as it keeps them warm and cozy. These have one major advantage: they’re machine washable. I haven’t tried it yet, but that’s what the instructions indicate. I stopped buying the Purr Pads a while back, because I couldn’t wash them and eventually had to throw them out. In this case, I’m using these pads for some feral kitties I care for (I put them on top of a mat outside my door on winter nights) and I need to be able to wash them. They are smaller than the Purr Pads (more like one-cat size), but they’re well-made and very inexpensive. I’m stocking up!

Surface fluffed up when my cats lick led the surface while grooming on top of it. Once I noticed large pieces of surface fluff hanging from corners of cats mouth, I took the mats away and disposed of them.
I do not recommend these mats for use by cats unless the surface texture is made more resistant to cat tongues. Clear danger of accidental ingestion of large amounts of artificial fibres.

The texture seemed kind of rough and stiff, but my cats really seems to like these! I bought the 3pk-unheated, with one for each of them and placed them in their favorite napping areas. They went right over to them, and got comfy! Of course, there are other areas of the house they like to nap. I like how they are simple pads, and easily removable and stowed away if needed when company comes over. They do keep most of the pet hair off the upholstery and carpet areas. The size is just right for all of them, even my big 18b cat! I haven’t had to wash them yet, so I am not able to say if it holds-up well in that aspect, but I would imagine they should be OK on a delicate cycle with air-dry.
Great product for the price, although I must say I thought it was more of a marbled tan color from the picture. I should have read in the description that it is actually a gray color. So, it doesn’t quite match my decor, but my cats really like them. It would be great if another color option would be available.

We bought 1 for my cat and 1 for my boyfriend’s little dog.
This is one of my cat’s favorite purchases, he uses it almost every day, and I bookmarked this to buy it again when it wears out,
but 1 year later it is still heating while being plugged in 24/7 most of the year as I forget to unplug it. I covered it in a thin blanket in his bed; the apartment is chilly when I leave & I find him in it almost every day when I return. Not as often in summer of course. He happily uses the one for the dog, not covered in a blanket, at my boyfriend’s house, he knows exactly what this is for wherever he goes.
My boyfriend’s dog had a difficult time figuring out it’s warmer than the rest of the floor, she only lays on it in the sunshine. I’m guessing something about how subtly it heats might be more appealing for cats. I’m so happy with how much my cat loves this particular heating pad.
The whole pad does not heat, its a smaller pad inside a few inches square, but you can adjust where that is/if the heating part is in the middle/in a corner of the main pad, etc.

This product is great! My cat is usually supremely indifferent to any new toy he’s given but he jumped onto the blanket the moment I put it out on the sofa and couldn’t be tempted off it for hours. He now snuggles up on it in his outdoor bed whenever a snooze is called for and I am happy to know it’s keeping him warm when he stays out all night.

I picked these up because of the reviews and the price. All the reviews I read said these were terrific and that cats can’t get enough of them so I took the leap. Thank goodness it was a small leap. I have tried to get five different cats to sleep on either one of the pads and none of them give the thing more than a cursory sniff. Basically they feel like the blankets you get with the moving truck to protect your furniture or the worst wool coat you have ever been forced to wear as a child. The box they arrived in is getting more attention. I haven’t tried washing them, I don’t see how making them smell like Tide will make these flimsy, poorly stitched little trash pads any more acceptable to a cat. Just save your money, maybe get your cat a nice fluffly towel to sleep on. Boil it downa nd these suck. I have useless moving pads now.

Simple product, inexpensive, place it anywhere and like magic, a cat will appear.
I have a few, some my cats shreds, one she carries around like a blankie, the others she leaves where they are and uses them as intended, for sublime lounging. Got a few for a friend and his cat (who snubs all gifts) loved them too.
Purrf… no no. I can’t do it. I’m not writing “purrfect”. Nope.
