Great float my wife normally wears a large hat work cover bit this allowed her to not have to wear that to protect her face. So far day 1 worked well.

I love this pool lounge chair! As someone who has to be mindful of the sun due to skin cancer, I love that this lounger has the popup canopy to provide some much needed shade in the sunny pool. It’s comfortable, easy to get in and out of and thus far, durable. My only issue was the cost. It wasn’t cheap. Normally I buy the 2 floaty tubes from Costco for about $30 (mind you, no canopy) and one of these chairs cost a little more than double that. Despite the cost, they have been a worthwhile purchase.

Three problems with this float. I may return it if I can get it back in the bag. 1. As shown in the picture there is nothing to attach the canopy to when not being used which would prevent it from dragging in the water. This is a problem bc it pulls badly where attached at the ends. I expect this stress on the fabric to tear a hole in the float soon. 2. As shown in the picture there are 2 holes on the canopy casing. I thought at first they were tears but they may be where the poles for the canopy were inserted. I expect these cuts to worsten. 3. The float bladders fill with water. I cant figure how water is getting in.. Maybe the air valves. The canopy is a good idea but the design needs work.

Purchased two of these for summer vacation at cottage. They worked very well (holding up a 200lb man). As a few reviews noted, the cup holder is rather narrow (it fit my slim cooler ok), and after a bit the outside chamber filled with water. Wasn’t a big deal, we just turned them over when we got out of the lake and the water drained fairly quickly. They were comfy and had a loop so we could “hook up”

I bought one and it was damaged. Exchanged for a replacement which was also damaged in the same fashion. Check the canopy rod inserts when you receive the item cuz mine were ripped both times. I really liked this float but the quality is not up to par. Disappointed.

Have to say this is my favorite new pool floatie. It’s perfect except for the canopy. Most often I enjoy the sun unless its too hot. However if you lower the canopy, it won’t take more than a minute for it to slide under the floatie and you have a large rudder – or anchor. It just isn’t convenient. It’d be really nice if there was a strap so you could ‘tie’ it down when not in use. Otherwise its super!

Super easy to inflate & deflate. Really comfortable to float in pool, I loved the back/head rest. Shade works well, but when talking with others in pool I held free hand instead of pulling all the way up & snapping into place (which limits view & paddling with hands). You don’t have to use shade at all you can just keep it down. Hard to get back into carrying case is it’s only flaw.

Swimways products are excellent. Easy to inflate. They hold the air for years and are extremely durable. I was disappointed with the canopy. It’s bulky and clumsy. The image online was a smaller cleaner canopy. They also seem smaller than ones I owned years ago. I’m going to try the larger version without canopy.

Do yourself a favor, buy this! I am buying more for my entire family because I loved it so much. Honestly it’s so comfortable, you can adjust the amount of shade you get, and you can use the foot hole as a floaty in the water if you want. I love it! My only complaint: just one cupholder.

I was so excited to finally be able to join my friends for river run this year! As a true ginger, spending hours on the water comes at a price, even with sunblock. But this floatie with the sun shade was perfect! It was so easy to inflate and deflate, I was ready for the water way before anyone else. The valve is really cool, you don’t even need to put your lips to the plastic to inflate, just blow close enough and the air goes in! Deflating is just as easy with the little “fins” that come on the valve cap. For the first time in years, I was able to sit on the water for HOURS and not get burned. It’s light, easy to carry, doesn’t tip easily, the material doesn’t rip easily, it’s super comfortable, and I’m genuinely satisfied with this floatie lounger.

However, there are two reasons why I’ve only given this 4 stars:
    1) Because of the mesh where you sit, your bottom is in the water the entire time. If you’re in the pool for a while, not as big of a deal. But if you’re on the river (or lake) for hours, you don’t get to dry off and I found it a bit chilly.
    2) The canopy is designed to stay up the entire time, so putting it down if it’s cloudy is not an option. There were a few times on the river where I had to paddle to avoid getting beached, but the canopy was in the way, so I just unhooked it. To my dismay, the canopy ended up sinking UNDERNEATH the floatie and was catching on the sticks at the bottom of the river. If there was a clip or something I could snap on to secure the canopy when it’s down, that would be ideal. I ended up using hair clips to keep it from doing that, so it’s something to watch out for. But if you’re just using this in the pool, this part probably isn’t even relevant to you.

All in all, good product for the money. Even the above things I’ve mentioned are only minor inconveniences.

Conceptionally, this is great. A big negative when the hood is up, and an equally big con for when it’s down leads me to believe I’ll eventually cut off the hood. Two main reasons for me. First, I wish the mesh on the side went up higher. My guess is that this is to provide more sun protection, but it feels like I have blinders on and can only see straight forward so it is not ideal for floating with friends. Secondly, when you put the hood down, there’s nothing to keep it from becoming a huge drag in the water. There should be a way to snap it to the top of the pillow to prevent this. Too bad the execution is flawed, it’s a great idea.

Great for the Water loving Sun Allergic people like me. Keeps just enough shade to relax and not lobster.

It inflates quickly and seems durable. However, the picture is misleading in terms of length. I’m a woman of average height and my legs extend a foot or more past the end. It’s more of a seat than a lounge. The straps that hold the canopy up are little awkward. Overall, it’s ok, but not what I expected.
