I do HDR real estate photography and I was trying to find the cheapest camera that would do everything I needed since I supply my team with their equipment. This camera works fine for photos and the lack of top lcd display doesn’t matter. Two things that really make me not like this camera, though, are 1) 1/2 second delay between brackets on the self timer that is not on the Z6 or Z7 and 2) even after setting customer user profiles the camera defaults to continuous shooting instead of the timer every time it power saves or turns off, which doesn’t happen on the Z6 or my D750. It is very inconvenient to have to change that every time. The last thing is I didn’t realize there is a 1.7x crop on 4K video, but if you use a 10mm crop lens its not a big deal.

This is a very nice camera with beautiful fit and finish and terrific image quality. Everything about it is first rate except the viewfinder in low light. Seems like the gain is increased in lower lighting conditions, creating red static in both the viewfinder and LCD. It’s worse with slower lenses.
My first lens with this camera was the 24-70 f4 S, but the view through the viewfinder and LCD was horrible in low light. I returned the lens for the faster 50mm f 1.8 S, and it’s much better, but still ever-present in low light. Under normal lighting conditions, the viewfinder excels. Too bad Nikon can’t issue a firmware update to address this problem. I’ve heard many people report on it in DPReview. It would have easily gotten a five star review, but that issue is glaring.

I love the feel and functionality of this camera. It does exactly what I want and doesnt get in my way with useless features. It was designed to be super intuitive to my brain and easy to set up custom features to make switching options even easier.

For the money, the features on this camera are hard to beat compared to other cameras. Some aps-c cameras cost more that this one.
Image quality if great and the handling is as good as the Z6/7.
The LCD can be a little flickery in some conditions. Overall quite happy with purchase.

I upgraded from NikonD700 that lasted me a long time as a wedding and portrait photographer! The image quality, sharpness and video are all amazing! Stablization is great. Auto focus is inconsistent. I shot 4 shoots and each shoot it kept hunting and hunting. I would switch from manual to auto in order to trick to focus again. There is no way I could use this for a wedding. I see there is a firmware update but doesn’t seem like it totally fixed the AF problem so sadly am returning this camera.

This is really a great full frame camera if you are primarily into stills photography. I don’t use video, so can’t comment on that. For the price point it is a great performer.

There are countless reviews online from professionals regarding this camera. I’ll leave the technical reviews to those more qualified and stick to what I can attest. For my usage, this camera offers all the features I need at the price point I could afford.
I’m also more than impressed with B&H for the quick and secure shipment.

This is my first mirrorless camera and I’m very happy with it so far.
