had a GVM slider before this – Edelkrone is expensive but worth every penny. Super fast to set up – I have it with the Slidermotor v3, and two head ones for pan and tilt. Great setup for my Canon EOS R.

Love my new slider! There’s nothing that comes close to built quality and features. The fact that it uses half its length for storage is great.

Love it

Because it only has one tripod mounting point in the center, the use cases for this are somewhat limited. You either need a very heavy duty tripod with sand bags or a very light camera rig, otherwise it will tip over.

I bought this rushed delivery right before a work trip to get some cool shots, but when it got here and I set it up I realized that it didn’t come with the mechanism that lets you do motorized movements; you have to buy that separately. But I don’t have time to get it now before I leave and so now I won’t be able to get the shots I wanted.

This along with the Slide Module v3 was my very first Edelkrone purchase. I also purchase a GVM slider. I like the GVM slider and absolutely LOVE the Edelkrone slider. For the Edelkrone, I also have the Edelkrone HeadPLUS v2. With the HeadPLUS v2, you get a whole new dimension of movement. If you need a more simple setup, the GVM is a great choice. If you demand unlimited movement in your shots, in my opinion, you cannot beat the SliderPlus v5/HeadPLUS v2 combination. Yes, much more expensive but. . . .

edelkrone has an amazing marketing team, but don’t be fooled by their paid sponsorships and Youtube reviews like me. I’ve purchased the slider, slide module, headPlus, and Jib and none of them are as easy or smooth as they say. The slider has a huge issue that I cannot get past. When it extends to the maximum distance, it bows at one end, even when I have it on a 100mm half ball as they’ve recommended. Also, there is a noticeable shake in my video when the camera reaches the center of the track. It happens EVERY time my slider meets the centerpoint so this thing is basically useless. I wanted to have an automated studio, but all I got in return was overpriced useless junk… Save your money, seriously. I wish someone had honestly reviewed their products before I purchased mine and wasted $3k+. I won’t be buying anything from edelkrone ever again…
