The sweater I’ve wanted for years but couldn’t find in stores. I don’t like pullovers, I have no use for a hood. I wanted warm but not too warm: to counter an indoor draft, not an arctic blizzard. And a zipper is more functional (and objectively more esthetic) than buttons. To me, this is what Amazon is for: not primarily convenience or price, but selection without compromise. Thank you, Amazon.
A couple of quibbles: Several shades each of gray and brown, a blue and a red, but no green at all. 🙁
Another reviewer complained that the zipper is hard to start. Yes, the strip of fabric that lines the inside of the zipper extends right to the bottom and may try to jam itself into the slider. Easily fixed if you can handle a needle and thread: put a stitch through the fabric strip and pin it down to the inner face of the sweater away from the zipper. 🙂

I have a similar zipped cardigan from Lucky Brand which was 5 times the price of this one. I wanted a second one in a different color, but Lucky Brand is not currently carrying one on their website. I checked Macy’s, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus Last Call, and other boutique clothiers, but could not find what I was looking for. I was shocked when I searched Amazon and found EXACTLY what I was seeking in an array of colors. Because it was off brand I was nervous that it might be poorly made or shrink up too much after being washed. I am happy to report that it did not shrink…it fit’s perfectly…I there is very little difference in this one and the Lucky Brand one I already owned. I plan on getting a third one (it’s on Christmas List)…this time the rust colored one!

Very thin material. Not at all what I expected. Advertised as “men’s” but the zipper is on the wrong side this feels awkward to use. The fit is odd largely due the flimsiness of the material. I wanted a large and loose fitting one which this is but it hangs very oddly. Not at all happy with it. Wasted money…

Just what I Was looking for! I’m a plus size woman who wanted a natural fiber, loose-fitting, zip-front cardigan. Not a sweatshirt, but something a bit classier and less fitted than women’s sweaters. The fabric is cozy— not too thin or too thick. I plan to hand-wash in cold water to avoid shrinking AFTER I order another color. Lots to choose from.

Appears good quality, one quirky thing is the zip slider appears to be on the “wrong” side ie the slider is normally on the LHS I find but not so here. Works fine though! Sleeves a little long for me but its the collar I didnt like, its sort of reluctant to turn down and less comfy for me. Thsi was my first buy of Amazon branded clothing which is an idea I like so shall buy more.

I originally ordered this sweater in dark gray, and have been generally satisfied with it — despite the balky zipper.
Consequently, I recently ordered the burgundy version and wore it for the first time today. It also presented a challenge getting the zipper started in order to zip up the sweater. And now, this evening, I can’t zip it up at all.
The zipper is supposedly YKK brand, which has a good reputation. But the one on my burgundy sweater is a complete bust. (In fairness, the problem may be with the way the zipper is sewn into the fabric. It’s very hard to tell, though.) Also, the burgundy version has visible white threads — used to sew-in the “Amazon Essentials” label — showing through the outside-back of the sweater (see photo).
Bottom line: I still love the style, fit and price. But if I can’t zip the thing up, well . . .

Average cut but ok material. A little larger than expected. A little rough also but warm and smart.

Very comfortable, fits perfect. Well made and just the right thickness like a sweatshirt. If you tired of carry around a hood and not using it then this is the jacket for you. It’s built to last and keeps me warm on cool nights.

I’m six foot, longish arms. This XL fits great. Nice soft cotton, feels nice wearing inside, nice look……. update
Zipper stopped working after couple days wear. After some work, I got the zipper back apart. Then I got the zipper to work again by pushing aside all the extra fabric and zipping.
I’m bumping it up a star because it went through a normal wash and weathered nicely but does look slightly more raggedy after wash but I washed in warm and dried it in a medieval drying machine. All in all a nice cotton sweater. I ordered a second in burgundy and that’s been nice too but same problem with the cheap zipper. Needs to be babied

Look good on, washes well, will probably buy again. Only slight negative is that the zip’s on the wrong side.

I get too hot in polyester fleece and prefer cotton. I picked one of these up in black to see if I like it. I’m currently 5’11-217 lbs. The Xl fits me nicely. Not too tight or excessively baggy. I would describe this as “decent quality” and “mid to light” weight. Personally, I see this as a very good value at this price point. I will definitely be buying other colors. I you like the style, I would say go for it.

Good price for this cotton jacket. I’m 5’8, 180 and the medium fits perfect. black does collect lint. Highly recommend
