A fun Jet Ski Racing game. If you ever played games like Wave Race this game kind of mixes Mario Kart style supers with a Wave Race racing game. Like Double Dash on Jet Skis.
    It is very ANIME.

Great game, Anime rare style-Water Sport game play. Very much needed in the gaming world. This game does not disappoint.

Fun game – had no clue about it, but then stumbled on this. Not many water ski games so glad to add this to the collection

As I played the tutorial and learning the mechanics, different games popped in mind, most prominent being Mario Cart. However, I wouldn’t go as far as saying it’s close to good as that. There are several mechanics that from many different games that made it much more different.
The primary gripe I have is with the shooting mechanic part. Using your weapon efficiently, accurately and quickly is where it becomes cumbersome/difficult as you have to choose between “front and back” and “auto and manual” with combination button presses. Unless I understood wrong, choosing auto and front allows your partner to shoot on your behalf, but the line of sight is dependent on your steering. Manual front is you are manually shooting at your opponent but your partner drives and you actually aim. I’m actually not sure how to fire in this mode. Didn’t understand their explanation. Auto rear, you aim while your partner drives, but gun fires on its own when reticle is on something, and manual rear is when you aim and fire on your own (and your partner is driving). Oh and when shooting to the rear, left and right sides are something you need to take into account. Makes sense as we cannot rotate our spines 360° but adds another level of complexity to something already made complicated. Mind you this is, again, something you would perform as you are racing. It’s hard enough as an FPS nub to shoot at something stationary, but you and your target will be moving at potentially high speeds. Oh and everyone has a shield level, like halo/fortnite, so just hitting someone once isn’t enough to make them spin out/slow down like Mario cart. You have to do it enough times and the Tutorial CPUs were at least x3-5 times better at it than I was. Basically, in a controlled environment, I spun them out once for every 3-5 times they did it to me.
The only other big gripe I got on the game play is the stunt/trick system. It seems very formulaic as far as the conditions to perform a trick off a ramp. If you go on the narrow ramp greater than X angle, you can’t perform a trick. If your speed isn’t at least X going up the ramp, you can’t perform a trick. If you don’t enter a trick (using analog sticks) within .X seconds of flying off the ramp, you won’t do a trick. If your analog stick(s) isn’t at specific spots within X margin of error when going off ramp, you won’t perform your intended trick. This removes the possibility for a wipe out, but lessens the opportunity to do anything special with how seemingly tight the margins are. There were several occasions where I tried doing something then failed…and then my only choices were between diving into the water or landing nicely on the water (they have their bonuses but nothing as fantastic) or I end up performing a different trick than intended because it took the first input .1 second off the ramp because my controller drifts. Both sticks are needed simultaneously and not every combination of analog directions have an associated trick. If you played the snowboard kids games (on the N64), it’s like a much worse and more complex trick system than that.
Luckily it doesn’t seem to do the rubber banding thing (where computer racers get faster when they fall behind, go slower when way ahead) so this game will require more skill to do well. Not sure how much skill the game will require you to attain to complete but for the first story race, without shooting, I got 1st place with a +30 second lead.
Seems to be a light hearted racing game that wanted to have more depth than it needed.
