I bought this for my MacBook Pro. After using it for a few days I noticed that my external hard drive had disconnected and got an error message on my Mac stating that I had improperly ejected my hard drive. Same thing happened with my USB sticks. I tried different ones. If they were plugged directly into the Mac, no problems, but when plugged into the Ugreen hub they would randomly disconnect within a 24 hour period. I only have trouble with these drives, including Ethernet when plugged into the Ugreen hub. I looked in the reviews and found other customers with this problem.

I bought this to make it easier to connect my laptop to my monitor etc as well as power it and I’m glad to say that it’s doing what I want it to do.

The power supply is USB-C which is passed through to the laptop, the monitor is connected via the HDMI port and then I’ve got my mouse and keyboard plugged into the two USB ports on it, so I’ve only got a single USB-C to plug into my laptop which connects everything.

What’s better is that I can switch out my work laptop for a MacBook Pro which gives me all of the same connectivity but with only one cable to connect.

I don’t use the ethernet connection so can’t comment on that or the card reader.

1st world problems, but it works.

I have used this on a Dell XPS13 for the last couple of months. Display and USB work fine. However, power passthrough doesnt. My laptop need 45W – I knew the unit would “use” 5w so expected it to not charge properly if I only used a 45W charger (laptop throws up errors and warnings all the time). So I connected a 100W charger to fix this, but I still get the errors.

This may work better on other laptops, but I would avoid for a Dell XPS.

At first I was happy with the purchase and the use of the product, it does meet my requirement of everything but after experience it for a week, I realized that it shuts off the wired internet connection, not only on my MacBook Air, but also on my other wired devices such as NAS, desktop computer and other wired devices on the same switch. I can simply unplug the hub and plug back in to my MacBook air to get the internet back in 10 seconds but that’s not how it suppose to work! So I decided to return it and let you guys know this fact here.

It works, build quality is very good. but… when using this with a MacBook Pro(thundbolt 4/usb4 ports), ethernet doesn’t show disconnected when I unplug the cable, usb 3 external drive(not ssd) only does about 2-3MBps, if I have a mouse(usb2) plugged in. when I connect the same external drive directly to the laptop, I get about 40-50MBps. My guess is this thing have only one usb controller, so it will only go as fast as the slowest usb device you have connected.

Purchased the Lenovo Yoga 6 using this adapter for external monitor and ports. The only issue I can find is the video to an external monitor is a little grainy. I am going to try on another monitor. Might be that monitor though it works fine with other connections. The adapter meets our needs for my wife.

Was hoping this would be my answer for Ethernet plus HDMI, but tmit cannot do 60Hz 4k like my older HDMI dongle. Does not work on my XPS 13.

I needed this for my PixelBook and it didn’t work. I also have a much expensive CA Essentials Docking Station that works fine, so there’s something up with compatibility and this device. Avoid if you’re using a Chromebook.

Although I’ve only used this hub for 1 day I wanted to share some product feedback but also guidance to others who might be wanting to use in the same manner that I am.

The short version is that this device works perfectly. Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI with 4K at 60hz, Power Delivery goes from 65W power supply to 60W reported by the laptop. The Model is CM512, Part Number 60515.

    My set-up
Laptop: Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 2i
    OS: Windows 10
    Usage: Desktop Dock

    Devices connected:
    HDMI: Monitor
    Ethernet: Gigabit switch
    Power Input: Lenovo 65w charger
USB 3.0 Dell Wireless keyboard & mouse receiver
    USB 3.0 Plantronics USB Speakerphone

Connected to the ThinkPad using the laptop USB-C Dock port

I got this hub to use as a dock to avoid having to plug/unplug the above devices everyday, it was not to provides ports that are missing on the laptop (they are all there). I was concerned about whether the laptop’s 65W charger would still be able to charge it when connected as pass-through. And it does, just about.

The power rate drops from 65W to 60W, the laptop still reports it’s being charger, but it’s not close to the actual rate possible. I had the laptop working in this set up for an hour when the battery was at 100%, after the hour the battery was at 99%. This does not create a problem for me as even a drop of 10% after 8 hours of work would still acceptable.

I am looking into another USB-C power supply, it will probably be an 80W or greater, which will be to power this unit and the laptop’s power supply will then be available for trips.

For those wondering, the ethernet adapter is ASIX AX88179 USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter.

The hub was Plug n Play for Windows, did not ask for any drivers.

Pictures are attached for the LAN speed, LAN driver details, and HDMI 4K display refresh rates support. BTW the HDMI was tested on an LG C1 4K TV which support 120hz.

Overall I’m happy with this hub, does everything I need it to do.

Es könnte so schön sein. Preis, Qualität, Leistung passt hier einfach perfekt.

Ansonsten müssen leider beide Retoure was ich sehr schade finden würde.

So important a newer computer lacks as many USB’s as older models. New laptop also had no CAT5 connection. I am much happier than when I discovered the missing ports: problem solved!

My laptop only has 2 USB-C ports so bought this so that I could connect two monitors and connect to a power source. Order this (more expensive) version because it indicated it only uses 5W to power instead of 15W like others. Using this, my laptop only complains that the draw slows the recharging of the battery. However, since I always have it plugged in, I don’t have any issues with the battery draining faster than the recharge.
