My hands are shaking while writing this review, my hands are broken, and I have to see the doctor tomorrow, I’m sweating all over my body after I finally squeeze everything back to the bag, however, I still can’t zipp the bag.
the sleep bag seems to be ok, but squeeze everything back to the bag is a challenge, I don’t mind getting all sweaty, but breaking my fingers every time I squeezy the sleeping bag into the bag is not what I want, I want to vomit right now out of exhaustion from putting the sleeping bag back to the bag, it is such a horrifying feeling, i will not purchase this kind of bag,

Have slept in many different kinds of sleeping bags over the years; many of them Coleman with fleece lining. They were great. This bag I bought via Amazon a year ago for $40 and have used it 3 times while camping in the Pacific NW forests. My only complaint is that the “tricot knit lining” acts like Velcro when coming into contact with many plant materials, ie moss, small ferns, lichen, etc. Then this debris easily come loose from your clothing and get embedded in this tricot knit lining. Then you have literally hundreds of pieces of scratchy embedded debris that is very very uncomfortable to sleep against. Then what compounds this issues is that each piece of plant material has to be painstakingly plucked, one at a time, and the piece of plant material usually breaks apart requiring multiple plucks to remove. I’d rather sleep in a bag my 9 year old consumed a box of crackers in. It took literally an hour and a half of plucking and couldn’t remove all fragments without damaging the liner. Tried to run through the washing machine and that made no improvement in removing this scratchy debris left within the lining. This bag seem adequate in all other areas of design and comfort and would work out great if not used in a forest setting. I’m not sure what the engineers were thinking when using tricot knit lining and they certainly didn’t do field tests within the Pacific NW. There may be a reason that Amazon has discounted the bag and sells this same bag for $20. Totally useless to me.

VERY VERY disappointed with Coleman on this sleeping bag. Size is advertised as 75″ long and it’s barely 68″. (It even says 75″ on the label). Width is only 28″ when advertised/labeled as 33″. (Yes we stretched them out to take measurements). The filling is non-existent in some spots and bunched up in others. Froze my feet due to no filling, and had to cut an expensive camping trip short. My wife’s bag had similar size and quality issues. We literally threw them in the dumpster at the campsite after one nights use and cut our trip short as we could not sleep outside in these. They’re past the return date as we bought them months in advance. As a life-long Coleman user (40 Years) I will NEVER buy another Coleman product again. Chinese garbage.

I own several of these sleeping bags. I keep a few stored in my boat, travel trailer and rustic seaside cabin. They’re inexpensive, very comfortable (particularly when you zip two together to make a Queen-sized bag) and washable.
For some reason, I really like the feel of the micro-fabric lining. Sort of like flannel except it seems to wick the moisture away from your skin. I sleep in these with minimal clothing and for me, I’m good down to temperatures of about 10 C. Below that and they get a little cool for me and I have to add some clothes.
These are fairly bulky, so I don’t think I’d want to take them backpacking, but leaving them in my mobile vehicles works just fine.
Good product at a reasonable price.

After reading all the reviews of “how soft this sleeping bag is”, I was super excited! Everyone said it felt like flannel… let me tell you.. that was a flat out lie. It is the WORST fabric for people with dry skin! The sound of my husbands hands across this is like nails on a chalkboard! Just snag after snag after snag! This is NOT flannel like! Dont fall for it. Not only that, when I was testing it out, I kept pulling these little plastic pieces out. Kinda like down feathers that poke through, but plastic hairs! I’ll attach a picture. So incredibly uncomfortable.

This bag kept me toasty when camping near a lake. Temp dropped to low 40s but I remained warm and comfortable. I am 5’7 275lbs and the bag fit comfortably.

I used this for 30-40F temps and it doesn’t disappoint. My bag was factory new, and it showed. It was easy to put on, and comfortable.
Pros
35F temp and comfortable
durable make
low cost
easy to zip for sleeping
high quality sleeping bag zipper
weight is good for its thermal capacity
can be opened fully to use as a comforter or attach another bag to double its size
Cons
bulky and hard to roll back for storage, its ok if you don’t intend to repack it often such as left in a cabin or bivouac
What it needs is a set of Coleman sleeping bag straps,
Coleman Sleeping Bag Straps
but you could have these lying around, I have many belts for my trek pants that I use as emergency lashing and carry many extras in my pack. You can roll the bag as in the guide shown on the bag itself, and stuff it into the carry bag, but to really compress it down the zipper in the carry bag will likely break if the Brazos isn’t first compressed then reinforced. Then it could break later in the sticks as its not that strong a zipper. But it you lash it on both ends and the middle, and then optionally zipper it up [ zipper only make the bag look taut], it will be packed just like new and the straps do most of the work, reducing the tension on the zipper. Minus one star for a user unfriendly carry bag. The carry bag is somewhat necessary to keep the Brazos clean and can be washed easily compared to washing the Brazos. Its best to have bag straps free and not built into the carry bag, so if they break they can easily be replaced, and separate straps can be used for other purposes in the campsite when not used for the Brazos.

It is GREAT for cold weather, seriously.
Here’s a tip our trekking guide gave us and it completely changed my experience. This bags work with your own body heat, so when you get into your tent, take your clothes off and snuggle in. The first night on top of Mount Roraima I got inside of it with my cold weather pijamas and two pair of socks and I felt like my feet were going to fall off. Second night, after he told us this, I slept with nothing but my underwear on and at some point I had to take off the blanket because I felt it was getting too warm. I couldn’t believe how when I had to go out it was sooo cold, while I was com warm and comfy inside.
The only cons is that it is really big and in my case (8 to 11hr walk everyday, for three days up and 2 down) it made it a little hard for me to carry it on my back. I took only the essentials but it still added 2kg of discomfort. Yet, my trekking friends kept complaining about not getting good sleep because of the cold and I still don’t regret taking it with me. My guides told me to leave it in the camp because it was too big and heavy, but for me, a pussy when it comes to weather, it was worth it.
