Broke whilst being usedafter a few months of very light use, luckily avoided a nasty fall and didnt hurt myself. This product is trash and unsafe

This suspension trainer is great. The one outstanding feature are the foot cradles. Very easy to get in and out of in comparison with the TRX. Another great feature is the ability to place the straps at different distances from each other. This eliminates strap interference on shoulders and arms when doing upper body exercises. It also mimics the TRX single point anchoring system simply by placing the straps next to each other resulting in decreased stability thereby challenging your core strength. All this and approximately $120 cheaper than the TRX Pro 4 (also owned).

I was looking into suspension trainers and had narrowed it down to this one and TRX.. The TRX is by far the most popular and often considered the “gold standard”. I read a few reviews from various sources and found this product to be rated anywhere from the best in the group to a “best buy” status as it is easily half as much as the TRX.
It’s very well built and to summarize the differences:
Pros for JGXT:
1. Plastic handles are easier to clean than foam TRX as well as less likely than the foam to tear under use.
2. Dual attachments points allows you greater flexibility to change width for different effects or to spread the weight load. TRX uses single anchor spot
3. Easy to get into and out of.
Pros for TRX:
1. Easier to flip around without removing feet (push to pull exercise) if you superset your workout
2. resale (if that matters) due to name

Product is fine and it came earlier than advertised which I was pleased with. I did however expect an instructional DVD with this product as advertised. There was none and the box did not say enclosed with package so I was left floundering a bit and had to resort to Youtube. No instruction an what to do with the short strap anywhere.

I am very dissapointed with the product and the after sales service of the seller, the product snapped after a couple of weeks of use, i emailed the seller who said he would send a replacement which never arrived, i contacted him on a couple of occasions and he assured he would send and requested photos of the snapped TRX bands and this matter was never resolved –

Cable slipped through the clasp on first use. This is because the cable release lever is easy to accidentally press if you’re in a dip position / have the cable close to an adjacent object like your arm or a wall. IMO the lever should be much more recessed to avoid this.

I watched the Youtube instructional videos for this product and the models make the exercises look so easy. Because of the added core instability even a simple exercise like a push up can become very challenging. I have these suspended from a chin up bar in one of my doorways. Very convenient. Quickly and easily adjust to different lengths and even someone recovering from surgery or who is just very deconditioned can use these to assist them through a basic routine. On the other hand, you can also do some very demanding advanced routines. Well made, grips and stirrups are comfortable. Well worth the price.

As good as any suspension trainer of it’s type. We cannot test durability, but I know webbing and connectors from rock climbing and sailing. This product has high quality webbing and plastic connectors and handles.
Versatility is as expected. Also, it’s easy to adjust the length of straps when required for different exercises.
[Don’t compare set-ups that are not alike (such as having dual versus single point of suspension, foot straps attached versus attachable, sliders for easy adjustment of strap length).]

I have used, and made, numerous suspension trainers. This is vastly superior to any commercially made suspension trainers. Without violating policy and mentioning other brands, I will say the JG XT has VASTLY SUPERIOR foot cradles to that popular black and yellow or desert tan suspension trainer (ST). The black and yellow/sand ST has truly awful foot straps that will twist your feet out abruptly if using minimalist (eg. five fingers) shoes. Also, the INDEPENDENTLY VARIABLE WIDTH of the uppermost attachment points of the JG XT is super desirable-just do push ups, pull ups; or presses with your hands together, hands at shoulder width, and hands outwards of shoulder width and you know they are VASTLY different exercises solely based on those 3 different positions. The JG XT variable attachment points gives you all those options. The black and yellow/sand ST restricts you to a joined V attachment point. I am not trashing the black/yellow or sand ST; and respect and appreciate the inventors service to the US; and no one will be harmed by one over the other, but the Jungle Gym XT gives you a lot more for a lot le$$!!

Broke within 3 months now can’t seem to get a refund or return on the item. Shocked and very upset.
The spring doesn’t work so the handles just slide down the max extension now, useless.

I knew the original owner of Lifeline Gym, Mr. Bobby Hinds. Back in the late 1980s. I was in the Army, now many years retired. He would send me prototype products. A kind man. I still am using the original product I bought, the portable Lifeline Gym. Of course with some replacement cables in-between. Then about two months ago bought this product because of the confidence I had with Mr. Hinds and Lifeline. At first, I did not know what to do with it. Go by the picture instructions as a guide, then expand. At 67 years, 13 with Parkinson’s, this is a good work out. I ain’t no whimp. It is a excellent piece of exercise equipment. Use it right and you will know you exercised. Slow and easy movements.

I went back and forth deciding between a TRX and the Jungle Gym, and the reviews/ratings on Amazon and other sites pointed pretty directly at Jungle Gym. The independent mounting of each strap allows for multiple positions, and since I mounted mine on a pull up bar, keeps them out of the way. Adjustment clips are very secure and easy to match lengths on each strap. I didn’t rate durability as I have only been using them for 2 months but they seem to be pretty bulletproof. I am most happy though, with the core workout while working muscle groups. Push ups in the handles or lunges with a foot in the strap is an eye opener on how much work ‘Body weight only’ exercises can be. Do yourself a favor and buy this, even as just an addition to your other tools.
