You order the Kindle Bundle, right? You expect to get all three items in one delivery: the Kindle, the cover, and the adapter, right? But for some reason they’re shipped separately. I got the cover one day. Two days later I get the Kindle, but not the adapter to power the thing up. Lo and behold, the adapter arrives a week after I get the Kindle. I’m sure Amazon has a reason for advertising it as a bundle then sending the three parts separately. But being not able to use it because they don’t ship the adapter a week later is a bit much.

Other than that, after finally powering the Kindle up, getting it connected to the Wi-Fi and getting all my books loaded up, it works beautifully and my wife loves it. But having to wait like ten days to get all three parts ruined the excitement.

Got the new Kindle today and super easy setup, and I love it. But… why does it come with a cord with the C end to plug into the Kindle, and a USB plug that will plug into any “charging block,” but not the charging block itself? I mean, I had to pay another sixteen bucks just for the rest of the charger? What is going on with that, besides unbridled greed?

I got my first Kindle 10+ years ago and it was my most prized possession. Alas, it took a nasty fall for my Kindle Keyboard III gen’s screen to get a horizontal stripe, thus preventing me from reading the first two lines of each page, forcing me to get another one.

After reading every single review on every single Kindle available I chose this one and crossed my fingers that it would be everything it was promised. Thankfully, it is.

I thought I would have a hard time getting used to the touch screen and to navigating the Kindle in general, but it is pretty intuitive and I got it almost instantly. The cover and the charger do their work as well, so in all this was a pretty good purchase.

Only one piece of advice: if you want the battery to last you have to keep it in airplane mode, otherwise you’ll need to charge it every few days.

I would recommend this one specially if you are already into reading, because it is a convenient method both for publishers and for readers. Sometimes you are after a book – or topic – in a hurry, so you can buy it in seconds and have it at your disposal. Ebook prices are of course cheaper, and anyone with a reading habit will adapt fast and start turning pages like you would do on your smartphone. Battery is ok but maybe not the advertised 10 weeks, i would say half of that but that is still acceptable, you can easily read 1 hour a day. If you like to read before your sleep, there is no need to turn your bed night lamp on anymore, the Kindle screen will be good enough.

I upgraded my older Kindle to the paperwhite and it’s amazing. The battery life is great and I love that the screen is backlit. The case is simple but works great.

I’m gonna be straight forward….I don’t like that you can’t adjust for a brighter screen, it seems a tad bit too dark for me. The highlight mode is really not a highlighted to me, it’s more of a shade, it should be yellow or at the very least brighter, not a dark mode. I’m not sure if it’s worth the original price, I got this during Black Friday and saved a few bucks, but maybe the new version is better. I also don’t like the choices for the cases, they seem cheap, not glam enough for me….We all know they make there money adding better features as time goes on so maybe get this if you just want to start out… to keep from having a thousand books laying around, but nothing special for me here. 🙁

We initially had setup problems with the new Kindle. Amazon and Kindle Support Groups got us on track and the system is operating as designed. Thanks to both groups! Bought this unit to replace 10 year old Kindle that was broken by airport security. Lots of improvements since 2012!

started reading again, bought a kindle… What I like the most is the brightness and font control, if my eyes get tired and I take off my glasses I can make adjustments to make reading easy… The only complaint is that I cannot tell how many pages I have read and about how many I have left because the pages are electronic unlike an old school book…
