Got 3 balls of this wool, just reaching the end of ball one and all the wool is bunched up and torn! Have had to cut away a huge chunk of the rusty orange and rejoin halfway through a project. Really don’t want to carry on with the other 2 balls incase they are the same.

I have purchased several colour ways of this yarn, wood nymph, mermaid, pegasus, chimera, serpent, wizard, sphynx, and have been happy with them all.
The yarn feels soft for a pure acrylic and is a pleasure to work both crochet and knit. It’s also flexible I’ve used needle/hook sizes from 4mm to 6mm to achieve different looks.
Sometimes I do find a knot join in a ball, this I nothing unusual in my experience (I’ve found knot joins even in 25g and 50g balls) and is easily dealt with anyway I just remove the knot and attach the yarn as I would for a colour or ball change.
All in all good value, lovely to work with, great colours I plan to be using a lot of this yarn 🙂

Very disappointed. I ordered six of of these. Only one actually had all of the colors. Three of them only had three colors. The other two had four colors. I expected each cake of yarn to have all of the colors (pink, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple). Very poor quality control. Not at all as described.

This is one of my favorite yarns to knit quick beanies! I don’t have issues with it splitting like I do with other yarns, and the texture is soft. Each sheik I use comes out to about 1 1/2 to 2 beanies.
However, my one complaint is the price. Certain colors are much, much, much more expensive than others, which is really starting to make me question how badly I want this yarn. I live in an area where there’s not many craft stores available, so almost all of my yarn comes from Walmart. My Walmart carries this type of yarn in stock, however, they only have it in white/neutral colors. At Walmart, each sheik is about $5-6. Seeing that some of these colors are priced as high as 3x that price just really seems ridiculous. So either buy the cheaper colors or check out your local craft stores/Walmart first!

This was a rip off…… I get mandala yarn all the time from Walmart or a local craft store. These cakes were terrible! Each of the 6 cakes I purchased only had either 1 or 2 colors part of the whirl. Def NOT the real deal!

Love the idea but it just isn’t amazing . The yarn is a bit thin but that’s ok. It’s soft so it feels nice on the skin. For me however the color pattern is just not good. Huge lengths of one color and very small amounts of the others. I hardly had any green or purple in my rainbow but I did have tons of orange. Not good for smaller projects as they will not be rainbow. The yarn was colored poorly as well. Lots of white spots where the color was just faded or completely missed during the dying process I suppose. On top of that it was cut and tied together in many spots. Very annoying because I’m not a fan of having lots of little knots in my work. Overall I wish this was the rainbow yarn of my dreams but I guess I will have to keep dreaming.

This yarn is wonderful! It is exactly the color shown, great to work with, going to make a wonderful blanket, super soft(!), and as thick as I expected. All five skeins were wrapped individually, something I greatly appreciate because it keeps the unused skeins clean and like new.
This came on time in pristine packaging. The price was great! And I would recommend this seller and this particular yarn to everyone!

I really love this yarn. I’ve made a few blankets. It’s heavy and works up quickly due to how thick it is. However, I’ve found after washing, it pills quite a bit. I wash my blankets often. I’ve used both the Houston Cream and Chicago Charcoal. Gorgeous colors.

Eine wunderbare Wolle mit einem sehr schönen Farbverlauf. Ich habe mir einen Schlauchschal gehäkelt, der von vielen schon bewundert wurde.
Der Schal ist wunderbr weich und kuschelig und preiswert. Ich habe mir noch einen Knäuel mit einem anderen Farbverlauf bestellt.

Lovely soft wool, great colourways. I am using a 3.5mm hook not the 5mm as suggested by the ball band. 5 felt way to big and the work too loose.
I bought the original 2 balls in January and loved the wool but in September I bought one futher ball using ‘buy again’. This wool is hard and does not have the same soft drape. It does not feel the same at all. I would not have bought this again. I’m very disappointed.
Was this a substitute supplier? Was this really Lion Brand yarn?

Very disappointed and frustrated! I purchased the Pegasus to complete a blanket I was working on for my grama who lost everything in the Santa Rosa fires. These colours are so perfect for her and the self striping was convenient for the project. While I expected the colours to start at different points in the overall colour scheme in a new skein, i was disappointed to find that they were in a completely different order. As I worked further into it, I found that there was an entire colourway missing (the blue/teal). I was forced to splice in order to make some sense of the project, but it still just wasn’t working right. The coral section had been repeated where the blue should have been. Worse, it had a knotted join to the darker purple and lacked transition colour.
After examining several skeins at a local fabric store today, I found that the one I’d ordered from here was indeed poorly manufactured. I went ahead and purchased more (and for far less $) at the store and will be ripping out the many hours of work I put in with this one. Such a huge waste of time and money!!
