great tv with great picture and tv, my panasonic plasma i bought from Best Buy in 2010 finally died and i was leery of LED. But i went with the Sony rather than some cheaper brand and it is well worth it. probably a third of the weight of my old TV, the clarity and contrast are excellent. Bravia is the one to go with, i did get the extended warranty due to the fragilty of todays TV screens and the risk of a repeat power surge. Due to the size of the room i have mine installed on a full motion mount.

Sony 43 inch X80j is by far the best in this class. I tried a Samsung & LG at home for a week each. I wasn’t satisfied with .either brand so I purchased the Sony. Out the box, Sony blows the competition away. Factory settings produced an excellent quality picture. Sony has has several sound choices, I selected surround sound & it sounds great. Set up is really quick and easy. You can sync your cable box to the Sony remote & utilize one remote for all functions. Immensely satisfied with my Sony- 43 inch X80J television purchase.

Nice size tv for your bedroom. One of the only TVs were the width of the stand allows for the use of a smaller table to place it on. Great sound adjustment feature that lets you set the sound to block out a lot of the background noise so you hear voices much clearer. Great selection of apps. Great picture. Highly recommended.

Bought this tv as a replacement for an older bedroom 1080p tv. I have to say im very impressed! The color and clarity on this tv is excellent. The opperatring system is very intuitive and it has all of the streaming services i use and more. The colors on this tv pop! The audio is good for just using the tv speakers as well. Tv is at the high end of the price scale for a tv this size, but i have to say its definately worth it. Will be a perfrct back up tv for the ps5. Will most likely be buying a 65 or 75 inch of the same model for thebliving room in the near future.

    Best TV I’ve ever owned.
I specifically bought this TV because of its IPS panel, which offers a much superior viewing angle compared to VA panels. I was not disappointed. I could pretty much look at this TV from any angle, and the colors do not shift one bit.
It’s highly customizable, so you can adjust the color any way you prefer. The blacks look deep, and if you want a vivd color, you sure can customize it to suit that palette.
The CPU is crazy fast. Almost zero lags when using Google TV. The menus are insanely intuitive and easily navigable.
The TV can get really bright, though I mostly set it for the lowest brightness setting.
The remote control is decent, nothing too techy. It does not have a backlight, though you should learn the remote by feel, so I don’t care for a backlit remote. The buttons are plenty, and operate with ease, making it easy to learn the remote by feel. The remote has a mic in it, so you can press and hold a button to speak commands to Googles assistant.
The one thing I dislike, is that it comes with Bluetooth 4.2, which is just dumb. Why they didn’t have the latest Bluetooth 5.0 installed is beyond me. Listening via Bluetooth is good, but there is an audio delay if listening via a computer connection, which can be fixed by enabling A/V sync, but that setting, when enabled, can cause lag issues using a PC mouse or while gaming.
Other than coming with only Bluetooth 4.2, I love everything about the TV. A fantastic deal for $600.

My First 4k tv , first experience. Definitely a sharper quality of image. Great for gaming and movies at a size of 43″ ; it makes a great gaming tv , it was designed . Definitely a gaming tv. Let me tell you, when i hooked up the ps4 pro , i was controlling my ps4 with the tv remote without even connecting/syncing , them being both “sony built devices “. I can only assume they where syncing through HDMI. Needless to say i now scroll on the ps4 with tv remote when on Netflix, youtube apps on the console.
Tv does not come with a modern HDMI cable, or any for that fact . You can use regular HDMI, your going to definitely want to invest on a 4k/8k compatible HDMi( mine was rocketfish brand). If you want full potential of image quality and improvement you need it. This tv alone sounds like built in surround system . Which i dint expect put out sound like it does. Perfect , cancels out the need to purchase sound system for my taste. Even with the price im satisfied. This is a personal tv in the room. im going to repurchase a sony tv for living room in the future. Go big or go home , definitely larger tv for the living room so theres no regrets later .

Sony TV’s really have hi-def figured out. Unlike many other brands, the images on this tv don’t look like a soap opera. That is, a movie looks like a movie, and not like video tape because the resolution is TOO sharp. We’ve had other new TVs, but returned them because the film resolution was so sharp that the film looked “taped”, if you know what I mean. Remote is straight-forward (unlike what you find on an LG TV), and easy to use. Highly recommend. Do note that current models tend to be much wider than previous models, but not a tall. So, even though we purchased a 43” screen, it looks a bit smaller than what we had previously, because it’s not as tall as our older TV. But it’s very light and easy to set up. And the picture is gorgeous.
