My kids have been practicing and showing me new tricks. I watched a lot of the DVD and what they need to do is put about 5 or 6 really really easy tricks first before venturing into more complicated slight of hand stuff. Some props are a bit flimsy which might not last long with 8 year olds.

My eight year old and six year old grand kids never get tired of putting on magic shows. It is definitely worth the price to get to see them perform one of the hundred easy to learn tricks.

I got this for my nephew who is admittedly younger than 8. He’s a super bright kid, though I think that this set is definitely for kids who are 7-8 (or thereabouts). That said, it’s otherwise awesome.

My 8-yr-old daughter saw this in a magazine and really wanted it for her birthday. While I was a bit skeptical, all the reviews were postive so I ordered it. It was everything those reviews claimed and more. Great to have the DVD to show the tricks and how they were done. She is really enjoying it and getting better with each practice run through. There are enough tricks to keep them interested as well. This is a winner!

There are so many magic tricks included in this set. Out of the mouth of my son, “I love it!” Mom loves watching him perform the tricks too.

This kit is really awesome. However, it has a couple of flaws… There are items that the booklet calls for for tricks that are not included (such as double-sided tape). Also, one of the tricks calls for the use of three small plastic balls in the kit…but they are supposed to be three different colors. In our kit, they were all red. 🙁

This was a gift for my 10 year old daughter. She loves it!!! She has already put on an impressive magic show for the family and still has many other tricks to master. It seems to be just the right amount of challenge for her and not so difficult that she gets frustrated when trying to learn the tricks. I would definitely recommend this for the 10-12 age group.

My five and a half year old is not into this set. He liked it for a little while but lost interest quick. He likes the hat still, but after playing with it for a while it got weird with the wiring and material.

My granddaughter has not opened this yet so I cant speak to the ease and quality of the tricks. The box is large and has a handle like a suitcase. Looks very cool. Shipping was reliable and arrived quickly in early Dec.

The actual magic kit contents look cheaper than the items that appear in the ad .
