The first time I bought these, they were fine. NEW and fine. Then I had a slight accident, turned some burners on with the covers still on them and scorched them. So I just purchased ‘new’ ones. Well, what arrived? Used ones, complete with their own scorch marks! I’m not going to go through the hassle of returning but needles8s to say, my review that was once 4 stars is now 1. Imagine sending a returned, used, scorched set out to a new buyer? Disgusting.

First review: They are the right size, fitting over the element and surrounding plate. They aren’t heavy duty but that’s fine for me. The reason I bought them is because I really only use one burner and I wanted to keep the rest of them clean. I don’t have a reason to constantly move them about.

What can I say?? I bought 3 sets just in case–a true red color is hard to find!!! But I’ve found, they are extremely sturdy, easy to clean and the color does not peel off. My tea kettle is 3.2 quarts and filled with water everyday up to the fill line–I drink green tea everyday. The cover under it has not warped, dented or been damaged at all. I would recommend these covers.

As purely decorative covers, these would be lovely. That’s why I’m giving them three stars. However, if you try to put any weight at all on top of them — I keep a toaster oven on top of my stove — you’ll find out just exactly how thin they are. Also, the first time I used my toaster oven, there was enough heat transfer from the feet that they stuck to the finish. Knowing that, I sure wouldn’t put a hot pot on them.

I’ve gone back to using my heavyweight white steel burner covers, and have found new uses for these: organizational trays for spice jars, and to put under my blender, because its feet keep getting stuck to the counter when I move it.

I bought these burner covers for a 20″ wide compact stove. They are about 8-1/8″ and 10-1/4″ … a little bit over their listed dimensions and so they did not fit my stove. I had to return these.

Luckily, Reston Lloyd’s Calypso Basics are actually a tad under their listed dimensions of 8″ and 10″ and so they fit my stove perfectly. They were just a lot more expensive than these. But they are a heavier, more sturdy metal construction.

I took two stars off for the fact the dimensions listed are slightly off. Otherwise, these are decent burner covers at a good price. I would have kept them if they were really 8 and 10 inch and fit my stove.

Already rusting and I dont even soak them in water, I just wipe the tops of them off ….. I love these burner covers as they are inexpensive and a way to add a little color and fun to your stove .. but I had these for 1 week and already noticed where the metal curls up on the side its getting rust in there on all of them, they havent chipped though like other ones I have bought in the past. Im going to try soaking these in vinegar to try and neutralize the rust. It doesnt stop me from buying them as long as they are cheap enough though. I tried showing where they rust the best I could with a camera

Ok. So yes, very retro but then again so is my stove lol. So I remember when these came out. They were pretty popular in the early 80s and then they became quickly unpopular because if you make a mistake removing the cover and then turn on the wrong burner it all goes horribly wrong. And now decades later I can speak from experience that is very easy thing to do and that yes the smell of the burning paint is indeed pretty darn toxic. But that’s not the products fault is it.
I still like the fact that these cover up the black elements of my white stove and a $7 can of spray paint from the hardware store made the the one that I scorched the hell out of look exactly like the other three survivors. I’m calling these a win with an bonus built in memory exercise. Now I remove all four every time I cook regardless of the element I use!

They do what they are suppose to do. Sadly I have a smaller stove and the big one doesn’t fit on it hitting the back smaller cover. But that is just my issue. My only complaint with these is they are all so over priced.

fits perfectly, however i cant figure out why one of the little ones has a blue line next to the star when the other one doesnt other than that theyre nice decided to return it tho, little things like that will just keep annoying me looking at it

these are really very thin, flimsy. they do not hold up very well either. within a day, the finish was spotted and scratched. I made the mistake of putting a teapot on one while it was steeping; not the kettle I used for boiling the water but the clay teapot. it ruined the finish. then, as happens, I turned on the wrong burner, and my apartment filled with noxious fumes. I’ve had them for about only two months-ish, and I need to replace them. I’ve opted to try heavier stainless steel covers. fingers crossed.

I love these, they brighten up my white stove so much. I am very bad with burner covers, I tend to turn the wrong burner on and have destroyed lots of these in the past. When I got these I vowed to remove all four before ever turning on my electric stove. Well, that didn’t last long, and before I knew it I had spoiled one of the four in the set. Recently I re-ordered two additional sets, knowing how careless I can be. Color is a beautiful shade of red. They aren’t super heavy, but then again, they are not expensive. It would be great if a company could come out with a totally heat resistant burner cover! But in the meantime I am very pleased with these. They do tend to smudge a bit but clean up easily using a bit of window cleaner.

I have used these or similar covers for 30 years this is the first issue I have ever had. I ran them through the dishwasher as I always do as soon as I receive them and then about once a month. Sorry to say these are just crap. Water spots especially on small covers impossible to remove. Used several types of cleaners and then soaking them and now they are even worse.
Its like whatever coating they put on was not totally sealed.
