I’ve only had it up a few week. I replaced a first generation unit that I moved to the backyard. Works fine but I’m really disappointed with all the plastic. The first one felt like a quality metal unit. This one is all plastic and definitely doesn’t have that quality feel for this price point.

Ring announced that this came out and I got excited specifically about the 3D motion. Turns out it’s pretty killer. It really doesn’t have a day to day process other than showing friends how creepy technology is. I feel like this type of tech would be seen in a Mission Impossible movie. Compared to other brands like Nest (which I previously owned), I will say that Nest has a better User Interface where Ring feels a little more clunky (in comparison). Other than the basic UI, I think Ring is a great company and this particular product is/has been great.

Great product. It gives a full 180 view. We have a ring doorbell and we’re able to see each view in the app, which we love. We put 2 of these up so we could have a full view of our pool. It detects every little motion.
Pros
180 view
Accurate motion detecting
Speaker is loud
Pictures is clear
Free trial version for 30 days – allows to you keep history and videos
App is great to be able to see all views at once
Cons
After the 30 day trial, it’s oddly hard to sign up for the pro subscription (to keep history and videos)
The lights go in with every motion – at night, we’d like to be able to control the light while still recording BUT if you turn the light off, it pops back on with motion. This is annoying for neighbors.

So far so good. I got this because our car got egged. We’ve seen all kinds of wildlife and have also caught someone trying to brake into our car. At the very least it makes us aware of what goes on in front of our house. We’ll probably get another for our backyard.

Note that is a SOFT YELLOW, and not a BLUE/WHITE Light, I say around 2700k color range. I actually like this color for my backyard. The 5ghz band is also much more snappier than my solar 2.4ghz wifi. This is a big enough upgrade for me. Also the black just looks sleek.

I have several RING products. This one is great like most of them. My only complaint is that you need to have a really strong WiFi signal with all of their products. I would buy this product again.

A brilliant invention. It was fairly easy to install and we love the security it gives us. The image is fantastic. I only wish the lights were a little brighter and wider. But we are already looking to replace another floodlight with another Ring floodlight.

I love all the features this light comes with. Is such a great floodlight and camera. The looks are good. Easy installation but I’m giving it 3/5 because a big down for me was when the lights turn on and I saw that the LED lights are Yellow… At this price tag and for what they advertise on the pictures I tought that the LED light was going to be White. Maybe I did not read something that says so about the lights, but if you’re like me and rather White LED over Yellow LED, heads up you’ll be getting Yellow LED.
